What Did C.S. Lewis Mean by The Tao? 

In his "Abolition of Man," C.S. Lewis emphasized the importance of the Tao and living within the Tao. Given that the Tao is a concept that traces its roots to works like Tao Te Ching, published around 2,500 years ago, why would Lewis gravitate to this concept?
