What Did I Discover In the Out of Bound Areas of Neltharion's (Deawthing) Lair?

Hello, all! Today, we travel back to World of Warcraft’s Legion expansion, and explore the out of bounds regions of Neltharion’s (Deathwing) Lair! Deathwing was massive, and so of course, his lair was too. The lair is now inhabited by strange, cavernous creatures that have made cities throughout the caverns. It’s time to UnCraft this area and learn all of Deathwing’s remaining secrets.

theres a quest in legion where you become an eye of kilrogg, it has no time limit and no max range, if you do it right you can avoid all the mobs and swim out into the ocean bypassing any zone walls i think, i swam out for 45 mins and went out SO far! (i videoed it also! sped up of course)

i tryed some exploring out of bounds too but that was at a time demon hunters doesnt existed. went to dalaran in endtime, siege of ogrimar after the 7th boss you can fall trough the floor on the right side of the tunnel. and some panda instance with a big wall there was a possibity to go out of bunds into the kunlai highs. alsod eathmine grosth clipping.

I still find myself shocked by the amount of patience you and other explorers have. The sheer frustration and tedium of trying to make those precise jumps must be insane.

Definitely takes patience and many trials and errors. This video was recorded over a year ago when I was still fairly new, but even this week, I spent 30 minutes trying to climb a single wall, lol.

- The treasure on the hole while falling right after the the worm boss is always there. You don't need a slow fall spell or a dh to get it. You click it while falling and that will kick it down and you loot it next to the pile of bones at the bottom- - The misterious closed rooms you got stuck behind are for some Legion quests. When you get the quest you can open it and there will be a special mini boss spawning inside. The same happens in Vault of the Wardens were in the 2nd section where you go around to kill the beholder boss and the fire giant boss theres a 3rd, closed room you can't access. You need the quest to open and one of those imp mothers boss spawns there. - The cave with the snail is not hidden. Im pretty sure that's the cave under the waterfall , you know that part with the barrels? A world quest mini boss spawns there. A giant rock/crystal turtle.

Zangarmarsh's underwater caverns inspired both. This is a long-running aesthetic in WoW.

It's very clear from this dungeon that Blizzard has been wanting to do a big underground expansion for a while. It's cool that they've finally managed to figure it out enough to do it in The War Within!

Only ever found ways out of bounds in Highmaul and Siege of Orgrimmar (both in Vale and Orgrimmar parts of the raid), but those just have copy-pasted versions of the outside world around them. Really fun to see something that's made to never be seen (from that angle) by players.

Vids like this inspire me to explore! One of my favorite areas to explore was outside of Zereth Mortis. It's amazing how there are such huge areas in instances in particular that we totally miss because the group never stops tunnel visioning the next pack.

I loved this dungeon, the city used to be a rogue run to farm last boss for the bindins for the secret artifact skin, even the fact that the bridges have collision allways amazed me (yes its was posible with rogue and its our fault that the gobling glider got banned from dungeons and raids sorry guys)

I'll bet those sealed off rocks were secondary areas that they cut down to make the instance more linear. That area where you got up with the bones looks ripe for a bonus boss but the instance already had one or two of those and they probably thought "eh, block those up."

IIRC the mobs didn't kick you back atleast when I played legion and they added that so people would not skip the pack. The treasure chest was always there but I can't remember if it was only for order resources or some other things too. Sparky is part of this dungeon achievement

Looks like it was another Azjol Nerub turned into a simple dungeon, leaving tons of unused content. I always thought the lair of Deathwing felt a bit... unimpressive as a dungeon.

I remember doing something similar back in Legion to Skip right to the last boss as a Outlaw rogue for the hidden artifact weapon

@GameUnCrafter - Evokers have a spell to reset movement ability cd's for other players in a raid group. Are there any places you could make it to with a group of evokers repeatedly resetting your Fel Rush?

The juxtapose of doing all the out-of-bounds exploring but not knowing about the chest or the quest areas is initially insane to me. But then I remember that a lot of people who do this kind of thing, don't actually play the game, they just kinda hang out in it; which makes it come all the way around to believable again.

Exactly haha. If you noticed, when I blurred out my name on the unstuck screen, it looks like way more than just a line to cross out. I will explain the reason in a future video.
