I wouldn’t say worst deck in the game without Infant, but it do be pretty rough to have to open Pikari or lose.

@@chuggajr it's not even open Pikari. It's open Pikari AND whatever you would normally search off it (A.I.Meet You typically) or hard drawing Achichi as well. Pikari search field spell isn't good if you don't have names in hand.

@@gamermulti5883 Except it really is. It requires way too many niche card combos to be viable if your Island is gone since chances are you already normal summoned. Yes, if you open like starter+2 extenders you can probably do SOMETHING, but the deck has pretty terrible extenders (usually only opting for 2-3 total out of Hiyari/Gatchikiri/Addition/etc.) when compared to simply opening just Pikari or Achichi. The deck is bottom of rogue with Island because it can run like 20 flex spots due to the "one-card" combo. Without Island the amount of extenders you'd have to run to have functioning hands drops the card quality drastically and is seen with Pranks right now with no Meow. Yeah, if you open like 2 kids and access to fusion summoning the deck can work, but that is such a reach and why the deck is practically unplayable since you aren't guaranteed to draw 3 card combos.

Effect protection is so funny to watch people just hit buttons trying to out something. I play Marincess and it’s so funny watching people see me Link summon with Crystal Heart and have 0 idea how to out a seemingly 4k Nightingale that recurs its own monsters.

You pretty much have to main them because of the nature of MD being best of 1. Like the only deck that will not play tons of hand traps and still be somewhat competitive is Adamancipator, and they have fallen off the face of the Earth.

@@FakeHeroFang false, I use to make it easy to plat with tons of decks and diamond once it came out with same cyber dragon deck I used for ^ and I use no handtraps, only 1 i even have in some decks is maxx C cause i find it to be the most balanced one, and allows people to still play. People just wanna helmet every deck with the least skill possible. Dont have to worry about your skill if your opponent just cant play the game, then on top of it if u use meta with it, it's basically crayon eatingly easy to win

Been consistently playing Predaplant Despia. They almost never know about Branded Opening or Predaplast's GY effects. Predaplast I can understand a bit more since most people run Sundew, Sarra, Scorpio and Cobra which dont really need the Predator Counters but I try playing gimmicky so I usually get a monster protected.

@@plenn657 it doesn't really, salad is a deck infamous for it's compact engine allowing it to play a huge suite of handtraps without taking much of a hit to its consistency , back in 2019 salad lists were topping world's with upwards of 18-20 handtraps, if anything 15 could even be considered a light amount for pure.

You want gryph in deck so you can search it again next turn. The only time you wouldn't negate is if you're afraid of getting otked, playing around gamma or in an extremely simplified gamestate

Yep. I certainly wouldn't call Soulburner's variant of Salamangreat meta, but it is still a powerful deck, especially in a universe where most decks are just in-archetype cards.
