Do I trust Chad's fabrication? I watch several automotive fabricators and I can say, Chad has the broadest range of knowledge over any of them. No one else does the complex wiring and no one else does upholstery. Plus, his attention to detail is impressive.

I don’t know but I have a suspicion that from the quick peek of Griz that he might be getting a Godzilla. If that happens theres definitely gonna be some haters but as a Ford Guy It warms my heart to see Chevys get Ford motors. We’ve been dealing with the other way around for ages.(And justifiably so)

A slightly warmed over 8.1 Vortec with an Allison transmission would serve the Griz right as a off road wrecker. There is practical vs radical, the trade off is reliability. The plus side is you guys are already familiar with the 8.1 in an off road wrecker.

Who doesn’t love Korbin? He really seems to have the automotive “Bug”, as it were. Not all of your boys are so enthusiastic, and it’s fun to watch how different they all are. To me it’s just an example of how God made us unique individuals. Keep the videos coming!

Self rescue tip: when you have that one wheel spinning like Griz, modulate the brake about half way giving resistance to make both spin. It's counter intuitive but works most of the time if your not dug in to bad.

I'm hoping for the 8.1 as well, but I'm guessing Duramax because of all the work for more room. A dirty max will be cool, but there is a reason the Cummins is the most swapped in diesel EVER.

You're using the red handle pliers upside down on the shifter. If you turn it over it gets tighter as you apply torque

When I grew up there is six boys in the family. My dad was a mechanic Shadetree mechanic he worked at Maytag farm. He worked on the foundry support nine people in the family. He start a construction business but he also we buy cars for $10 and we would fix a red run them till they were junk and we scrap them by another car for $10 and put the rest and her insurance be proud of your boys boys that’s the way I grew up and it didn’t hurt me one bit. Are you putting in a 12 valve cummins. The 12 valve has the A/C compressor on the passenger side at the bottom of the block.

Motor transmission was put on that Friday before the cab was put on it they make the frame to put the variance on to put the under frames on and they put the engine in then they lowered a cab down on top of the engine and transmission that quieted the crossmember is welded in there when you cut it out if you took the antique away from it

Enjoy this channel, although built customs, these off road trucks interest me, guess aint too old to build one for myself so learning what will need. Betwween you, Paul and Merlin, am getting even more of an education, and enjoying all. Making road trip thos summer so plan on seing you as well as Paul and Merlin. Should be very interedting time

When you were talking about what to do with motor and transmission, I thought Give it to Korbin as a starter, next thing you know You ask Korbin if he wants it. Its a sign man. LOL. He can learn to go through the motor and transmission, figure out what he wants to put it in and design his own rig.❤❤❤❤❤❤

I posted this before I saw the brief picture at the end, So not a 6 cylinder. A V8 Diesel then. I reckon you are going to install a diesel motor in Griz. Probably a 6 cylinder Cummins, though I wouldn't be surprised if it were a Chevy diesel V8 either, though if push comes to shove, I recon the Cummins diesel would be my first guess.

get some riding glasses, they have a thin strip of foam around where the glasses touch your face. that will set them a bit further away from your eye lashes while still sealing against your face

Chad , I think by the way you're building the front frame on Griz he's gonna be getting a 7.0 liter deisel that's why it's gonna need all that space for a radiator.

I did make sure there was plenty of room for a radiator but it'll be for a gas engine.
