He seems to finish many of the other RU-vid channels build projects. I've always thought that they get to the hard stuff, and then hand it off to Chad and crew to finish to a completely turned and working manner. That's definitely a big credit to his shop and team's abilities and knowledge sets! #MadSkills
@@jannsander Especially now that Trevor left the MORR team. TomTom could possibly have managed at a pinch, but even he would not done it half as well as the ChadFab team.
I don’t think any vehicle has ever been this meticulously put together. The complexity of the whole rig was totally unexpected as a spectator. Chad is a great dad and a super talented electrical technician. Much respect to the whole family and the wise approach to training the next generation of electrical experts. Very impressive work you folks do.
One of the major thing that I enjoy and I am blessed by is the relationships you have with your sons and other members of your team. Many many years ago my father owned some gas/ service stations in New York City. My father got sick and died when I was young but I remember the joy I felt when I got to go to work with him. Cherish these times and I hope your family does as well. You’re a great dad.
It's amazing to see, over time, how much quality labor has, and is, going into Matt's creation. What wonderful work you all do Chad. Matt is very blessed to have as asset like your team. Your demeanor and work ethic are something to be admired and followed. As someone recently told me, when tasked with a very large project - He was asked, how do you eat an elephant? His reply was, one bite at a time... Your work ethic paints that picture in spades. Well done to you and your crew. Thanks for bringing us all along. 👍👍
Chad, I love the beautiful work you do on the wiring harnesses. The harness you have created for Matt's Wrecker looks great. Reminds me of the work we did when I worked for a company installing emergency equipment in police and fire vehicles.
I am loving the way this beast is being now made more trail worthy and getting everything it needs to perform. The details are being addressed slowly it's growing into a fully fledged recovery hero. This Will save people and do it without braking a sweat. I mean some trails especially snowed ir mudded in ir those crumbly at altitude suicide trails need a beast like this to save lives off of. Seen government built rescue vehicles that fall short of this beauty on agility and being built for exactly what's needed.
The amount of thought that has to go into the wiring and plumbing on this monstrosity is mind boggling! Thank god Matt has you! Hopefully the "worlds largest offroad recker" isn't gonna be the one gettin towed all the time with how complicated it is!
Like watching you wire . I’m 73 I wired a plug for my small winch that goes in to my rear hitch , with my two artificial knees an two back surgeries and my two worn out shoulders it only took 5 hours lol. Told my wife it would of been easier to drive to Chads Fab keep up the work ,nice to see a family working together. Dan from Michigan.
IMHO This wrecker would look so much nicer with Ford A style wheel fenders. The frontlights could then be fitted where they righlty belongs. Yes - I'm pretty old and love the old look on cars !
"Honeymoonin", That must be a euphemism for something. Amazing how fast they grow up though. Not a bad thing to have the shop to yourself once-in-a-while.
Wondering how much more work/ more weeks chad will need to work on the wrecker. I love watching the build and chad work but can’t wait to see the wrecker back in its native territory doing what it does best.
Well this video made my day. I love babies. I don't hold them until 5 month. lol Babies give us pure love. Nothing but joy runs through their heart and mind.
Chad's Fab, to think that at one time I thought you were finished with this project! Now I think that you will be back working on it a couple more times. Thanks for sharing and remember to stay safe healthy and happy 👍
Yeah the exhaust manifold areas get stupid hot. Adding wiring to my truck for more stuff, I used Ben Harr high temp sleeving fiberglass sleeving with silicone outer coating, worked great for years. Grate videos keep me coming.
Chad, you have all my appreciations. I worked with all kinds of electricians in my 35 years the industry and for a electricial technician taking on this task without engineering drawings is amazing. Matt is a lucky man to get this done and can wait to see your final product.
-- Very, very nice. Looking forward to seeing the complete instrument cluster for everything. Make sure you leave some room for the time circuits :) Just about every suggestion (not to Matt is doing it because I said so) but everything I wanted to see light-wise, air system, and more I've been posting on his channel, well, you guys pretty much are doing it all in this one.
Definitely need a brake light on the boom so whoever is in the towed vehicle knows when to brake. Definitely a good idea for when head sets aren't available to communicate.
Thank you so much for showing us your wiring process. I love your organization!!!! Wiring is very daunting because of the scope and potential calamity. There are videos from the painless floor. They use wire looms and pre made plywood boards with nails for the pattern. It seemed like witchcraft. Watching you actually build and wire on the vehicle makes so much more sense.
Chad to the rescue on Matt's wrecker. Lot's going on with wiring and re-wiring is comprehensive and challenging but Chad's fabs are up for the challenge and is making headway on the wrecker.
At some point Robby will steal the wrecker so he can put a proper paint job on it. Matt would be happy to let it rust and would say the dents give character.
I love watching you work. I love you and your entire family. I'm a retired mechanic so everything you're doing is familiar. Also, I finally bought a shirt to show some support. 💕
Maybe Chad was busting on Keenan about boasting about getting the cab off but all I heard was relatable commentary that answered my questions of the amount of time that passed as sun tracked across the front of the truck like a sun dial and who was in the background.
Mr. Chad I didn't thing he was being prideful or boast full or braging. I was impressed with the hard work an doing it that quick. I'm impressed as with all the awsome work you guys do. Not many other people in the world appreciate your good and hard work. I will be glad to pat ya on the back any time. Great channel😊
Awesome build on the electrical side (and some mechanical). Chad is like to Bob Ross/Mr. Rogers of RU-vid. Super cool to watch…no drama, just work and explaining..👍🏻
Really is a apocalypse truck, pretfy awesome. I know you get paid for your labor and everything but Matt's still so lucky to have such great friends in his circle.
Man there is so much wiring on this truck. Sure glad I don't have to try and figure it out. It would never get done if I did have to make it all work. Hang in there stay safe and healthy.
Chad, You and your family and crew are simply Amazing at this wiring installation ! Not to mention the fabrication end of the things y'all do is top notch stuff ! It's always a joy to watch Y'all work on things as you seem to just flow like a gentle breeze ! Thanks for sharing your adventures and knowledge with the world ! ✌️❤️🙏
I nearly needed a new keyboard after that first Marvin the Martian clip, luckily for me I had downed most of my drink. How Chad keeps it all straight in his mind is crazy. Cutie pie grand baby moment there.
The attention to details and the complexed wire routing and attachments is so interesting. You Sir in my book are a true craftsmen. It is rewarding to see you are passing this skill and knowledge on!
Wiring alone will have over 600 man hours involved. Can't even compute what the whole build has over the past 15 months... without adding all the work done during our sleep. As far as cost I would guess it's well under any 10 wheeler type wrecker.
I know you know what you are doing. I am a over redundant guy. I was thinking that you could run a "Quick Test" and run same programming in A Additional Ghost drive to eliminate Brain problems on your projects. I love your ability to decipher the Spaghetti to others 🙏❤ thank you for teaching your trade in your genetics and relations❤ you are awesome
Ahhhh poop? Watch that language now. LOL Still all that "spaghetti" looks daunting. Many many Kudo's to you for agreeing to take on those challenges. 👍👍
Chad, listening to you talk about what thoughts go into the design process for main, backup, aux, and back up to the back up air and solenoid systems to essentially make this a fail proof system as best as you can. Very Impressive. Your knowledge of how each specialized electrical , air, hydraulic connection is very deep as well. You could write a book on this subject and lay it down to the average persons skill level and make the feel like like a scientist.. CHEERS!
Chadder! You have a beautiful life, beautiful Wife and beautiful family sir. Be well and stay safe out there brother from Dinosaur Colorado USA 🙏❤👍🤙🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
‘I’m not going to help…’ fast forward 8 seconds, Chad’s waist deep in the engine bay. 😂😂 I’m impressed with the work you and your team do, keeping these RU-vid builders on the trail!
Love watching you work Chad mr old school . Also loving how much your family respect you . After watching quite a few of your videos . You are highly respected with the knowledge you have . Regards Martin UK x
Chad you are a Wiring Wizard..Wow...Great Job on Wiring Matt's Wrecker. Matt would have 6 wires total. And probably 3 would actually Work... 😂😂😂😂..Just Kidding Matt...LMAO 😂😂😂. Can't wait to you get that thing done. They will be able to see it from the Space Station... 😂😂😂. Love the Rock lights. Again Great Job and Video. Matt and Fab Rats and Robby Layton are very Fortunate to have a Friend like You...
The other problem with Poly tubing is it gets very brittle, especially if it gets UV light on it. Darker colors like black help block the UV but it too will still become brittle with time.
Yeah I ran a stainless line down the frame on mine for the lockers and then a steel braided flex line to the axel. I know it's not in everyone's budget to run stainless tubing but it's worth the money because temperature and getting hit won't hurt the line.
You just don't appreciate how involved the multiple wiring harnesses are that make up the various systems inside a motor vehicle until you are tasked with either organizing the "rats nest" or you are tasked with adding additional wiring components. You are working on a "custom piece" so that makes it more challenging except you already have systems in place it is just a matter of you plugging in all the holes.
