I miss this guy. I shed a few tears when I learned he passed in 2016. I watched this video everyday for months in the morning during 2010-11 to motivate me to go to work so i could afford to fly my own sailplane. I watched it again today and it's been years since i have seen it. It hits the feels. Miss ya Matt!

Hi, what a great video - a usefull medicine against the winter blues. Unfortunately several of your videos are locked due to content issues. This summer my son and I made our GPL, and now we are really addicted - suffering winter withdrawal syndrome. We are looking forward to April '11, soaring in La Motte du Caire for two weeks. The terrain on take off looked familiar to me, the mountain looked like one at the side of the M6 just south of the Lake District. Some other videos further down make it sound like you are in the South Downs though. ice video though, wherever it is.
@Balleka I shouldn't have watched this....in 8 minutes this video shows all that is best about soaring in a glider..having not flown for several years it makes me want to get back into one and all the chuffing around between good flights seems worth it....better check how my Stemme 10 fund is coming along!

amazing! Well what did I do today? I went gliding too, but in a other Glider (ASK-23) =) I know... It`s a piece of shit in compare with your ASH-25 =). And yes I didn`t fly as near to the ground as you did....... Great vid
