So you are in the market for either one of these mini motos, but don't know which one to go with. In today's video we will talk about the pros and cons of each.
Thank you sooo much for this. I am a short (normal for a woman) new rider and the Grom looks right statistically but I 😊didnt like the looks. Having already bought a bike on looks that I hate because it's too tall and too heavy, I was trying to convince myself to try the Grom. I definitely will now. Looks aren't as important as confidence for new riders. The new black and gold Grom in the UK actually doesn't look bad.
Great review, thanks. I've tried both. Grom felt perfect ergonomic position. Z125 felt like the seat is too high in relation to handle bars. Both seats are extremely hard, that's a shame.
Z125 looks way better BUT.. the Grom has had 3 generations to sort out it's ergos which is why it's simply better. Z125 hasn't really changed since it first came out in 2014 while the Grom's changed every 4 years. The older SF models toyed with being a sports bike but it was not very comfy due to it's narrow bucket seat which is why they went back to the bench seat from the OG Grom. SF was very bad ergo wise for Western market since the people there are taller (bench seat lets you scoot back if you are taller) and heavier.. Gen 3 was designed for the Western market and it shows.
