I discovered that my crabs love Zilla Caloric Supplement & Appetite Stimulant which was given to me after my friend's chameleon bit the dust. I put a couple drops on some wood in my terrarium to see if my green anoles would try it. They didn't but my crabs eat it up! I give them a wide variety of other food too, of course.

I have pet hermit crabs. They're such picky little fucks. I give them fancy, healthy, and pricey food for them. And all they want to eat is coconut shavings. Jerks.
bread isnt really good for them; id recommend fruit or meat with no seasoning. also egg shells are a great source of calcium which crustaceans need to molt. i know those arnt your crabs but its better to watch them eat heal;thy. :D
Billy Harmon not @ all..me & my fiance have 14 hermit crabs..lol when we purchased them at pet smart some were moving some were not, if its in its shell still DON'T TRY TO USE FORCE, IT'S NOT DEAD, give it some time to its self to get use the habitat the feel & the smell and I promise you it will be up & exploring on its own, but if you pick you're hermit crab up and its not moving, body is flimsy all wiggly falling out of shell or if you smell a bad odor like stank fish, then yes, its dead bro..other then that don't worry about a thang..
