I have been watching you for a minute. Hands down I have gotten more information from you than a lot of of channels. I think your content and information are well explained and don't understand some people’s confusion but I realized, that when I first got into heat press printing I watched a lot of people and got probably too much unneeded information. When I found your channel it spoke to my needs and vision for my brand. I used transfer express and supcolor too but I only used TE for single color designs, but I couldn't figure out how to get the long lasting quality from the transfer. It would crack after 10-20 washes. I watched a lot of your video trying to figure out the problem and even called TE. They are very helpful and a good company but the quality and consistency was on point by supacolor. They even offer single color transfer at a reduced print. My last thing is I want my brand to be worn over and over again by my customers, so I would pay the price because it will matter in the long run. It all comes down to what you can afford or willing to pay and what you looking for quality, affordability, etc. Just know there are pros and cons to both! Thanks Brandoh 💯 Salute

consistency. i just had a homie do a pretty big job and he went with dtf cuz it was a cheaper route. the dtf company missed the deadline cuz they said they were backed up with work and orders. then the homie had to place another order with a different dtf printer which was slightly more expensive to make the deadline. those transfers came in with printing flaws. no adhsive on one side and a few designs ruined due to smudges. received his original order 2 days after he delivered the job. he spent double the money tryna save money and delivered a job pressed with some sketchy transfers.

I have not ordered a transfer yet, getting ready to do my first orders- terrified :) thank you for the great advice and info. Now I’m rethinking. What is their turnaround? Do they have a high minimum? Thanks again.

I actually just tried Supacolors new DTF for the first time. It is different stuff. It feels a little lighter? Thinner? Edge not as tight? It is not nearly as opaque. It is just different. It is hottish peel but not dead hot peel. I use regular supacolor all the time. To me it has been the easiest and most consistent. If it has more than 2 colors it is pretty much my go to.

Love my supacolor products, but I did just run into some confusion with a transfer. If supacolor is screen print and not digital, then why were my grunge designs digitally printed? I haven’t reached out to the company but I was still able to use the transfers but it wasn’t what I was expecting for my grunge look.
@BigBrandoh
@BigBrandoh 10 месяцев назад
im not 100% sure what your grunge look transfers were supposed to look like but supacolor always makes it easy to reach out to them if you have any issues. every tour i've taken at supacolor (gardena location and hawthorne location) they have guys burning screens, cleaning screens and running the big ass screen print presses...

I do have one question: I’m looking for a full color transfer that delivers the same quality as a single color goof proof transfer from Transfer express, I’ve used supacolors full color before and the design just doesn’t give me that same feel I am looking for like goof proof transfers does, it feels more like a sticker on a shirt than a screen print …any suggestions?
@BigBrandoh
@BigBrandoh 10 месяцев назад
you have to ask yourself what exactly you want. is it texture in the print? is it weight of print? since color print is lighter than a multi color print. not just with transfers but anything. the more color you layer on the heavier the print will be. using a 4 color process print will be lighter in feel than a multi spot color print. if you think multi color prints feel like a sticker on a shirt it might be due to lots of color or the opacity in the print. i have a video showing and comparing supacolor print vs traditional screen print. if you think supa is thick or heavy, the traditional screen print was way heavier. but if you are going based on texture only, supa will feel smooth compared to the off contact of a screen print. but it sounds like you are going based on feel, i have no recommendations because supacolor to me is the lightest, thinnest transfer i know of when it comes to multi color printing. you would have to try a bunch of transfers out and see what you like better. like i said i have a video comparing the same design from supacolor and traditionally screen printed and supa came out lighter and thinner on the scale and by feel. its on my channel

Question. I am using supacolor transfers with the same heat press that you are. But sometimes my transfer is sticking to the apparel and not releasing. What would be the reason?
@BigBrandoh
@BigBrandoh 8 месяцев назад
i have a video on this topic. hit the youtube search bar with "how to lay down supacolor transfers" also, it could be your settings or your pressure. you might have to make minor adjustments to your pressure or your heat to achieve the right application setting. its all trial and error.

How does transfer express ultra color pro compare to supacolor ? They both seem to be the same concept
@BigBrandoh
@BigBrandoh 10 месяцев назад
im not familiar with ultra pro. i have a video showing ultra max which is their DTF print. lots of companies have the same concept but it ultimately comes down to which transfer you can successfully lay down and what you wanna offer your customers. thats why i use supacolor

Supacolor is the way to go!!! Do you still use Transfer Express gang sheets for single color hits? I have used the goof proof with good success, but in your videos you were using the hot split. Which is better at avoiding dye migration?
@BigBrandoh
@BigBrandoh 10 месяцев назад
i havent placed a hot split order in a while i been mainly just throwing my single color design on a supa gang sheet if theres room on the sheet. thats been workin out for me lately. supacolor offers a sub blocker style transfer thats made to stop dye migration. i dont press too much on polyster so i dont really run into the dye migration issue

I have an idea for a certain type of product that will be customizable and very text heavy. It seems the only option for this would be DTG. Or I would have have to get the top design on a transfer and use vinyl on the custom text. I don't know how that would look together.
@BigBrandoh
@BigBrandoh 9 месяцев назад
if its single color you can do the whole thing in vinyl. thats what most customize shops do. dtg is a good option but will cut into your profit margins. as far as mixing print methods. ive never done it.
