Am I right to guess that you personally never emigrated to another country? Just to widen your horizon: There's things floating on the sea that are called "ships". These "ships" can transport "goods", usually in the form of "containers". You can put your whole household into such a "container" and let it be delivered to wherever you are going to live. Ingenious, isn't it? 🙄
@@lindaschrock1812 Being president is not about taking a stance on issues. She doesn't have policies on her own. Whatever little policies she has announced have been their team's doing and she doesn't even know how to support them other than saying things that don't make sense or things that her team has fed her with. She lacks individuality, command and leadership skills. In fact we don't know anything about her and what she is as a person. She's hiding her real personality and what we are seeing is just an act. How can you trust such a person and give her presidency?
As a Indian resident we do not support Kamala Harris or anyone on the basis of he/she is Indian They left India settle in US they forget us. We do not care whether Kamala Harris is winning or Ramaswamy We only support them who really support India and be friend full to India
Indian Americans are just like all Americans. They are not monolithic. Some may vote Trump, some may vote Harris and some may not vote at all. I do suspect that they know better than to waste their vote on RFK jr.
If you do that you're voting for a dictatorship and tax cuts for billionaires. Trump couldn't care less about anyone but himself and only wants to be president so he can avoid prison. Not to mention he killed the deal that would've made illegal immigration harder and has been racist and misogynistic since day one.
'the wealthiest and most highly educated origin group among Asian-Americans on average'. Average does not say the true story. Indian Americans are stereotyped. They used to be stereotyped by politicians as 'the model community'. There are many low income Indian Americans working in Indian stores, restaurants, and as truck and taxi drivers.
They're still model Americans despite not making as much money. Lowest crime rates, highest civic participation rate, good family values. Or does model community only mean high income?
"many". Even you are guilty of generalization. Data supports that Indian immigrants have one of the highest (Chinese, Filipino, Korean, etc.) educational attainments among the Asians and well above the average. Indian Americans are estimated to number about 5 million, so If you have seen several hundred or in your words "many" low income Indian taxi drivers, you are just furthering another stereotype.
I am an Indian American; and I am not supporting her because she will not help the Indian women in technology and she will not question the cybersecurity & the American military; who discriminate Indian hindu women in technology
And that's for the Indian Americans there to decide Not you. There's a Reason Most Indian Americans are BJP-Democrats not BJP-Republicans because Republicans and Trump are too extreme

Pm Modi has have controlled over mein strem media he hack our democracy. Don't vot Trump because he also don't like democracy and media who ask questions to him.
in 2020 72% of registered Indian American voters supported Biden for president compared to 22% for Trump. Do you think in 2024, 55% for Harris and 45% for Trump?
Indians are not monoethnic - they are separated by caste, religion, language and region from which part of India do they come from. So it is unlikely for Kamala Harris to garner the support of entire Indian community.
India is a democratic country and just like any democratic nation there will be differences. We disagree eachother on many things. But as a nation we are one , Unity in diversity - that's our strength. But I don't expect others to understand it.
@JeffBilkins Bigtime. Elections offices in red states are getting swarmed with calls from Republican women asking if "their husbands can find out who they voted for."This is a result of the misery and terror out there for pregnant women.
Small voting block largely in NJ and CA. No significant impact in the presidential election. Now when it comes to election of a Mayor or congressman in Edison NJ, it's all about Indian Americans.
I love listening to Indian Americans saying they need to control immigration from coming in. The cherry on top of the cake is that Republicans vetoed the border bill they proposed.
That was a bad bill. It allowed 5000 per day or 1.8 million per year. All this nonsense at the border is hurting Indians. Why open border and handing out working permits to millions not an insult, injustice or cheating of all the Indians who have waited in the queue for years for a Green Card and followed the legal process patiently?
@@sleepyatdawn7648 Shummer has a border bill that's been sitting on his desk since last year when Republicans passed it but Democrats won't put it for a vote because they say it's too strict.
My Telugu friends who are Indian Americans ( Multi-millionaires ) , are inclined towards Tump and are kind of anti-immigration ( legal) . They feel too much educated immigrant talent from India is competition to them I think.
I am not American so I can’t vote. However as a Canadian I follow American politics very closely. Because it will directly affect us. However the race issue is always top of the list for selecting a candidate in America. There are people in the south still fighting the Civil War. I have seen there flags flying. That is one thing I am truly grateful for is our countries diversity. We don’t care what colour you are, what God you worship, or who you are married to. I remember back in the 50’s travelling on a family vacation to Myrtle Beach. We were a family of five at the time. Camping as mother said kids were not allowed in hotels. Anyway playing on the beach building something in the sand, when this young kid came up to me and pulled out a toy gun and asked “You a Yankee or a Rebel.” To which I proudly responded “ I’m Canadian” confused him.
@@jayganasen8859 Before she got on to national stage, in California which has large Indian American population, she presented herself as of Indian origin. If one is bi-racial then call yourself that way all the time and not be a CHAMELEON (Girgit in Hindi) to switch when it suits you. When contest in CA, where Indian Americans are in significant number and at NATIONAL level changed it to another identity. That smells like a HYPOCRITE. Can anyone please tell me what has Kamala ever done for India or Indian Americans whether as AG of California or as VP? What has she said about India, Modi or Indians?

What about unethical country caps for legal immigration? There are people languishing in Green card limbo for decades who have approved legal petitions.
Being mixed race is "business as usual"? What does that mean? Yeah, she's of Indian and Jamaican descend. So? What's wrong with being bi racial? You can't celebrate both? Really?

“ like saying shut the door after me” Besides, they come with a “padrino a godfather! When I was working and going to school to learn English, I didn’t see an East indian cleaning homes or doing janitorial jobs like me! She didn’t have the power to fix the immigration laws!! Yes, I think they look down on other immigrants because they are educated!
So, to read between the lines some think that Usha, Trumps VP pick's wife is to help with the Indian vote since Trump didn't pick Hayley as VP? That's a stretch. I also don't think people understand how limited the power of the VP is. There was a lot Kamala couldn't just decide to do unless Joe agreed, he was still the one in charge. She is not running as an incumbent, and not all his chosen policies can be laid at her feet. And I know we are a country of immigrants but I do find it interesting some of these immigrant Republicans are saying their major beef with her is immigration.
We should be cautious about placing expectations on public figures based solely on their heritage. It's important to remember that once individuals achieve success, they often prioritize their current affiliations or identities. We've seen this with various leaders, including Kamala Harris and Sundar Pichai, who identify primarily with their roles in the countries they serve. It's crucial to understand that their actions are guided by their responsibilities, which may not always align with the interests of India. We must stay vigilant and realistic about our expectations.
People who are immigrants who are not realizing how the other people want to come here for benefits and better lives is not wrong and we need to realize that too

Kamal Harris claims she is African American period. Respect her right to self determination, she is NOT interested in being associated with Indians. Don't you people get that?
Kamla will continue Ukraine russia war for more 5 years You want whole world to suffer more ??? Or you want safety of normal civilians under Trump uncle ?
What do indian americans think of kamala harris? The la times indicates she will get at least 62 percent of the votes in ca, maybe 75 or 90 percent of the indian ameeican vote. She is enormously popular among indian americans and deserves it. She is very smart and charismatic. Independants nation wide have swung to her side by 9 to 11 points. That is astonishing. She is on message and flawless while trump rambles and rants all the time
Don't care if we pay higher taxes & inflation increases. It's all about representation for us. She's the president we need. Its our patriotic duty to pay taxes
Emotions don't do anything. Indian Americans used emotions with Bobby Jindal and learnt a lesson. He used Indian Americans to get elected and then discarded them like Kleenex. Same likely to happen with her. Please help us understand: #1 Most important Question: What has Kamala ever done for India or Indian Americans whether as AG of California or as VP? What has she said about India, Modi or Indians? #2 What did Kamala do on SB 304 (which was created by Pakistani/Afghan CA lawmakers to harass Hindus and Indians) to protect Indian Americans? Did she use her influence to stop it? #3 What stance has she taken on Kashmir and abrogation of Art 370? #4 Why open border and handing out working permits to millions not an INSULT, INJUSTICE or CHEATING all the Indians who have waited in the queue for years for a Green Card and followed the legal process patiently?
Indian-Americans (NRI) receive an interesting training from their Indian background - to be progressive in secular matters while being conservative in fiscal and cultural matters. This is a formula for their successes in public life in the US, and only one party here is currently positioned to gain from it. Over the past decade, a hyper-nationalist faction of the NRI got excited by their shared hatred of a particular faith with a particular President, but they are likely to be swept away by the overall (Indian) heritage wave.

Yes the guy is right about immigration at least 10-20 million Indian Americans currently living in India are very much eager to physically settle there in USA...
Indian Americans want to close the borders to everyone except Indians from India. They are smart, hard working, very interconnected and highly networked at all levels of society, from the community level (think of those corner shops and nickle and dime stores) through Wall Street and banking, through the Congress, the Senate and the White House. Because they are 'liberal' in the sense that they are accepting of the ways of others, they get on fast. India is the most populous country in the world with a young population keen to come to the US. Put it all together.
Policy position is KEY to get my vote. Whole it is great to see someone who kinda looks like me, that is secondary. Usha Vance may influence policy position but not set policy.
Indian American population is 1.35% of the US population. Kamala Harris identifies as Indian American even though her father is Jamaican. Trump on the other hand is German American who are 15% of the US population .Race or Issues on November 5?
her father was born in jamicia buy is of Indian and Irish blood. Just as if a mexician child is born in the US, the child is an americian by nationality, not ethnicity
She's American compared to Trump She's highly educated. Trump is entitled. He could have went to best school and education but he's so entitled that he was born with a golden spoon in his mouth.
He is a strong leader and always puts American interests first. Does not need a teleprompter. Speaks his mind and is authentic. He has accomplishments to show everyone e.g. secure border, booming economy, low inflation. She needs to tell us what accomplishments she had in last 3.5 years and particularly on 'border issue'. Just to remind, a month back she was being labelled by the same media as the most unsuccessful VP in the history with lowest approval ratings and there was lot of talk about BYPASSING her and picking up another African American candidate (on the ticket). Only when it was disclosed that the election fund of Biden can only be transferred to her legally (and others will have to start collecting money from scratch), she got into the game and elites coronated her. Media instead of doing its job is putting the fingers on the scale, fear mongering and taking sides when she participated in creating the mess on the border and did not do anything.
When you have money you don't gotta go to school to learn so you can earn. You learn because you want too. And anyone can read books. You don't need a certificate to be intelligent. Tf is you a scarecrow😂😂😂

How pathetic is it that a group so well educated could base their vote simply on the fact that she is from the same immigrant group. If she is qualified then tell me what she has done to support your faith in her. She started out on her knees in the office of Willie Brown. Indians must be so proud.
Indians are not dumb - why would we vote based on ethnicity or skin color? we also analyze policies, economic programs, leadership skills like anyone else. This is such stereotyping!
😂KAMALA and her campaign keep saying that when she gets in office. She will do all these new amazing things. Can someone please tell them SHES IN OFFICE NOW. So she can start immediately with all her supposedly new amazing policy.
She is not in office, she is vice president. The office she holds has only two constitutional functions, the ceremonial head of the senate and waiting for the sitting president to drop dead. that is it. no policy-making ability. Her job is to be read in on the sitting president's decisions. Sheesh, we really have to do a better job of teaching civics in American schools.
Please, people, enough of the petty hate, whether you like her or not, and maybe as VP she has'nt done very much, or very little. But, if she can get enough strong qualified people to work with her. Personally, Im writing in my choice, my own heart and feelings here, Kamala Harris against Trump?, shouldn't even be this close, ridiculous. She has to nab those Electoral votes!, the "270" matters more than getting millions more popular votes, DUMP the DAMN Electoral college, before 2028!
California? It's unimportant. California will vote Democratic regardless. What about the Indian community in a swing state, like GA, PA, MI, WI, or AZ?
Trump has been very unpredictable. His sudden decisions on such important matters confuse voters. The signals of his denial of third debate may go against him. Rather third debate is the opportunity for him to prove his views and to attract more voters . The republican party may like to review and may advice Trump suitably. The 2nd debate has brought out many important issue on Economy, Abortion laws, immigration laws etc and require indepth reviews of relevant laws and to bring needful changes in them urgently. Many Voters may be waiting the 3nd debate to help them to make up their minds on to whom to vote and why. In absence of 3rd debate, these voters shall find it difficult to decide and may either bycott voting or may caste vote undecided , which will not be good.
