Of 1.3 billion people in India, how many speak English well enough to be interviewed in English? These were the more educated. Of course they would be more likely to be aware. What about the uneducated masses?
@joecanis484

Sports Guy, have you ever heard of editing? Do interviews and select the ones that went well. The random interviews that may have included the uneducated were left out. This video is not streaming.

Sports Guy, I know that English is an official language of India and the lingua franca of the nation. But the level of vocabulary, proper grammar, and enunciation will separate the more educated from those with only a grammar school experience. The ability to speak proper English is not equal among the Indian youth. I dare you to compare your IQ score to mine and we will determine who is actually the idiot.

It's not really an issue of India, but companies. Decades ago they started using plastic bags and bottles to maximize their profits, and when the garbage became an issue, they coined the term "litterbug" to pass the blame onto the consumers. Granted, there should be individual responsibility, e.g. not just blatantly throwing trash out the window, but someone who chooses to spend an hour a day picking up others' trash for years can have all their efforts undermined in a minute by a single company creating waste.
@xxxzz8413
@xxxzz8413 6 лет назад
Wow. Sometimes i found this type of comment. I like it. But companies are companies. They are made for profits. There is one company TATA which we are proud of. They created awarness in the area where they installed their unit before using plastics. Others don't.
@jellojiggle1
@jellojiggle1 6 лет назад
We have a company here in the States that picks up trash and disposes of it. They build walls 90ft deep and cover it eventually with Earth not before routing tubes that carry the gas that they use. They make alot of money too. So I would say it IS an issue of India. To be more specific it IS a human issue. No matter race or location. Littering is irresponsible behavior that should be frowned upon. If there is no where to put it and no one gives "two shits" about it. I would not put the blame on companies.
@turnerwright
@turnerwright 6 лет назад
Congratulations - that's exactly the attitude companies want you to have. Instead of confronting the fact they flooded the market with single-use plastic, you pass the blame onto consumers. Granted, we do have a responsibility to recycle, but rather than looking into biodegradable options like bioplastic or recycled paper, companies choose to destroy the environment to save a few bucks. There isn't enough of an recycling infrastructure to handle all the plastic in the world right now.
@turnerwright
@turnerwright 6 лет назад
On the contrary, it's the worst type for that very reason - people think it's just paper-thin, meaning they don't care if they see one one on the side of the road. It breaks down more easily, entering the food chain in the ocean earlier, and making it harder to collect.
@turnerwright

I believe the main problem in India is the lack of proper allocation of resources as well as the mindset of the people in India. In India, trash bins are actually not very accessible and many aren't there. Secondly, most people in India have improper and incorrect knowledge about cleanliness and consequences of their actions. So a solution to this would be more proper allocation of resources as well as educating people but they are many external factors to this problem so I'd say India has a long way to go but it's good that the citizens at least have started their journey towards the common goal of making India a cleaner country

They clean the stadium after a game, not their own trash also the trash from the other teams fans. step 1. increase bolted down public trashbins step 2. increase budget for trash pickup and removal. step 3. increase recycling depots and add recycling bins to apartment buildings and offer recycling bins to individual home owners at a low cost. then increase the budget for recycling pickup and removal. step 4. train the population to stop littering, spitting, etc.... in a respectful manner government and public must work together on this issue, beyond these steps, natural human ingenuity will take over and improvement will just happen. Perhaps individuals should consider slowing down on the baby making as well, as overpopulation comes with many many problems. I live in well-to-do rural area of southern Ontario in Canada, about a 2-hour drive northwest of Toronto right next to a well-kept hiking trail called The Bruce Trail. It’s full of rolling hills and horse ranches. It’s basically my back yard. A complete escape from city life where you don’t even feel like you’re in Toronto. One day I came across a group of young Indians enjoying the scenery along the trail. They were super friendly. The most memorable part of my interaction with them was immense amount of litter they left along the trail and next to their car. Complete disregard for others and the environment. They treated my backyard as though they were still in India.

Nepal is in on the same boat. Having been there 3 years ago I have witnessed the horrific amounts of trash littering the streets. I think the main factor contributing to trash/pollution is the lack of education. Additionally, the government doesn't seem to be doing anything about it. But keeping our surroundings clean does not make the waste disappear. It still lies around in big municipal dustbins; uncollected. Even if it gets collected it goes to the fckin dumping ground causing more pollution and diseases. The government needs to change the whole waste management system. The waste should be segregated, collected and treated. That's the only way to solve the problem. . . I just hope someone someday does that for our country.🙂

tytube3001 Sri Lanka has low population density and less daily migratory population. all indian city's population doubles during working hours and people goes back to their houses in city limits in the evening, what this means is that the property tax which is primary source of income from municipal corporations are being paid elsewhere. pure residential areas in the country always clean compared to mix-use(residential+business) areas.This can be seen within mumbai and surrounding areas .this is being corrected now by allowing other revenue streams for muncipal corporations. as far as china is concerned, let's first allow free press in china and then start comparing with china. all news that comes out of china is regulated.

We should compare to the western but we should learn from them. For the western civilization to be current state they have list many life and they learn it after the lost of many people. For example the "Black plaque" . As we live modern world we can change our society without causing any epidemic death

Guy with a blue shirt from Chandigarh, great attitude bhai. It begins with the attitude. The day we decide in our hearts that Bharat Mata is our home, you will see great things happening in this nation once again!
