I'm hoping the music editors/supervisors change their mindset of getting better value and change for better quality. There's so much poor quality music on tv these days, it would be nice for the artistry to grow within production music.

Really? I think music today on TV is SO much better than in previous decades. There's so many more talented producers in the licensing business now - thanks for technology.

I had to look it up but OTT stands for Over-the-top media services which is indeed demand stuff like Netflix, HBO etc. What threw me is the fact that in the UK at least, OTT has been a term that people have been using for years which also stands for "over the top" but describes a person's behaviour as being slightly excessive. Anyway great video.

iMac with Logic Pro X - I mostly use Kontakt 5, Massive & Built-in logic sounds. Adams A7 monitors, Apogee Duet and an Avalon 737 compressor for vocal work.

I've got a question regarding companies that follow the "passive income" business model. Since they're not making any money if the music is not being placed, doesn't that mean that they're more motivated to get your music licensed? Isn't that better for everybody?

Sorry for the delay. Yes, you've got the concept. The more the library has to rely on getting their catalogue placed to earn publishing royalties, the better it is for the writers in the catalogue.
