One of the thing I notice in athletes- they have dopamine up regulation that creates a urge & motivation to get thing done & after they achieve they have low levels too but they go through that period and get back up and show up for the next set of goals and this keeps running somehow they figure out this thing so they just continue the grind and become high achiever same thing is with the doctors on their urge in research and working to just get better
Also hindering of things usually the burnout will surely occur initially when we get into new tasks or maybe tasks that we don’t really like as due to the attention we put on and attention is just the norepinephrine so there’s a stress but soon after few days we get to understand and figure out the way to actually do it that’s our brain’s ability to just learn & modify (that path , task & end result)
