With so many races back to back it would be pretty hard to maintain weight. I wonder if some of the athletes purposely go into the tour a little heavier…. Also the 10% overweight rather than 1% underweight is more for the training season. Being in a calorie deficit for months would lead to huge fatigue. But for a short time period not too bad. I mean obviously, ideally you’re maintaining your weight rather than being 10% overweight or 1% underweight…. I just would rather be on the heavier side then not eating enough and always being tired… that’s all :)
