She is not she hardly race any athelite can play that game runs 2 time a year if a clown presenter encourage that behavior that will be the end of atheletics thanks to those willing to come out and complete go through pain and come again this word greatest is too luscily used she is no goat incase you didn't know she was beaten over 400 meters by paulino is paulino goat
She barely ever competes and usually only in the big championships. We have seen that type of thing before and there were dodgy reasons behind it. Suspicious.
For me the greatest is safp I don't care about world records running a few races a year doesn't make you great even though safp doesn't have world record it's the multiple world and Olympics she's been able to win and medal in plus even in her mid 30s her consistency plus ran multiple 10.6s in one season in her 30s that is why I think safp is the greatest woman
Greatest women's track athlete of all time??? as opposed to Elaine Thompson who won both the 100m and 200m gold in Rio AND Tokyo? come on... Sydney is freaking awesome, but she hasn't even won the open 400m yet. The 400m H is still a very nich event.
@@DG-iu8ck I'll let you speculate till your heart's content on the specter of doping in that era. It's a complex topic and easy to assume while craping on everyone competing in that time.
Love Sydney, but what Siffan Hassan did in the last two Olympics makes her the GOAT in my opinion. Until Sydney dominates in another event, she cannot be the Goat.
Yes, Sydney McLaughlin is the undisputed Greatest athlete of All Time in track and field for all those World Records and she's also modest, very beautiful, classy and a great role model for girls and women alike. May The Lord keep blessing her. 🙌
Hold up yes she's incredible, but it's going to take a whole lot to surpass the GOAT of men and women. Alyson Felix, who has golds in 100m, 200m, 400m, 4×100m 4×400m. Not to mention, she started her pro career at 17 years old. Got her first silver medal at 17 and was dissatisfied. Yes, Sydney is amazing, but you have to research before you make such claims. Plus, Alyson Felix lasted how many years??? Peace
But one could ask many World records does Felix have? i think it’s tough to say someone is the “greatest athlete of all time” though, because there are so many disciplines in track and field. But you can say she’s an all-time great, even though she has a LOT of career ahead of her
@@Brewnz88 I guess if you were going to say "greatest athlete" it would have to be someone who does a bunch of different events. A heptathlete maybe (on the womens side)? Thiam? Kersee? I heard one way out there theory that McLaughlin is now going to quit the 400H and......become a heptathlete. LOL. Wouldn't that be a hoot.
Bol made the mistake of trying to stay level with Syd, but it was too fast for her and she exploded in the straight line. Any 400 rider knows that's what happens when you start too fast!
She's not quite there yet but being the greatest track athlete of all time is definitely in her range. She's turned a no-name event into Must See TV. She's going to smash the 400 WR then maybe catch Flo-Jo's mythical 21.34.
Not sure if she can beat those steroid laden records to be honest but she needs to get serious running those races because she's going to start getting older and then it will be to late. I'm just afraid she is going to spend a couple more years running the hurdles just to get the record under 50 seconds when she needs to just movie on to the the 400m flat race. It will take her at least a couple of years of just running 400m races to challenge Paulino, Naser, Adeleke and whoever else comes along. It didn't take Paulino more then a couple of years to move from the 200m to the 400m and make the podium at the World Championships and Sydney has already run a 48.74 last year so she's already got a head start but her coach needs her to challenge herself and do something where she won't be the favorite.
There is no question that Sydney is one of the few athletes that was born with the right genetics that allows her to achieve immense track success. The turn off for me, is that she presents herself as being so special that the creator of all things (if you believe in that sort of thing) saw fit to sprinkle her with the magic dust, unlike most other humans. That's immensely arrogant and self centered, but just my opinion, let the hate begin.
As an atheist, I don't see her as arrogant or self-centered. Believe me, I have seen countless BS coming from religious people ...specially the believe that they have a higher moral ground. I'm almost 50 so I have seen a lot.
Please tell the Australian coach that it is humanly possible to break the records 6 times and this time it's the world record. Congratulation, well done. God bless you. 🥰
This is the 1st time I've actually witnessed/seen an Elite Track Athlete actually Glorify God and put Him 1st as it pertains to their Elite Success in the Highest Level of International Athletics Competition - The Olympics.....Well Done, Sydney.....Because of your Devotion to Glorifying Christ-Jesus, Almighty God is surely going to Elevate you to be the Greatest Female Athlete of your Generation....
How many athletes have broken five world records?,She is a class of her own look at her split in the 400 relay ,plus 200 flat race she ran just a one off .a true champion well done Sydney
She is one among the best Athletes who performed superbly in the Olympic and other competitions outside the Olympic. Breaking the record 6 times that will put her on top of the list.
Before the olympic games I was sure that Femke Bol would win the gold medal in the 400m hurdles event, as she was way faster than anyone else around. However, I hadn’t seen Sydney perform, and I was amazed that she destroyed the rest of the field to take the gold medal and to set up a new world record..👍🥇👍
Bol is great but she was never faster than anybody around. She was the fastest LAST YEAR when SML was injured but she never had the fastest time ever run.
If you thought Bol was going to win, you don't know anything about athletics and don't follow the results. A month ago Sydney ran a 200m against the best Americans, which she won running in 22.07. Femke ran it too but in 22.80. Do you see the difference in speed between the two? Already at 18 Sydney ran in 22.39 and 50.07 the 400 flat in the rain.
@@darraghcollins1374 I agree ! She could become a absolute legend in the category of Usain Bolt. However, to achieve that I think she will have to run in disciplines other than the 400m as well, and I don’t include relay events there, only individual events such as the 200m and/or the 400m..
How does one compare gold medals to world records? Sydney already has more world records in one event than Usain Bolt ever achieved in BOTH the 100 and 200 meter events combined! Granted, the 100 and 200 are more "glory" events than the 400 hurdles, but if you look at the incremental percentages of improvements achieved over Sydney's last six years in the 400 hurdles you'll see how dramatically she has raised the bar for her event. Similar (but not equal) to Armondo Duplantis' continued record setting in the pole vault.
