Gl against Spirit tomorrow! Please scout for Proxys. Don't forget to send a probe out (in mid to lategame) for scouting potential flanks. And the Oracles can be a lifesaver, especially the Stasis Wards --> Stasis Wards in, next to a mineral line or directly next to a gas or the nexus. If he drops alot you could place a Stasis on the opposite site of where he would unload his units so that if he chases you, your probes have a Stasis they can run towards... I have never seen this but so many times i have seen terran players unload a bunch of marines and marauders to chase down probes in your mineral lines. You can also fly around his main army to place down a Stasis Ward behind him to trap him if he kites back or to catch a chunk of reinforcing units. Yes.. It is very luck based because sometimes you catch only a single marine but often enough you would catch a bunch of marines and or a siege tank etc... I often saw you floating enough money for the next warp-in + an extra Oracle (but the Stargate isn't producing) --> You said it yourself in your last tournament related video, that Stasis Ward is a "broken Spell". --> Why not building or rebuilding an Oracle later on for that exact purpose, if you have the money anyways? PLEASE shift+command your oracle away after the placement of a Stasis Ward. It is so obvious when the opponent is attacking into you and can see the Oracle standing still right above the Stasis Ward.
That's what I was wondering - it's a very troll strategy too to just turtle on tanks/PFs and send waves of hellions out -> eventually transitioning into battlecruiser.
Re game 3: Looking through Choovy's games on Nephest (he doesn't have too many), you can find the likely Terran opponent as his loss on Goldenaura. Choovy's match history looks normal, but the Terran has a bunch of 0m, 1m, and undetected-game-length losses recently. His peak 1v1 Terran MMR is 3900, which was Diamond 2 at the time
Love this series. Great production quality too. I love how when you guys are recapping, the game is replaying at the exact moment you guys are talking about. Great work Hamster
Here's a tip. Don't rate early game macro being good as high tier. Most Diamond will have pretty good macro in the first 5 minutes when nothing is happening.
Hard to believe that one was gold 3 with the Terran’s play, feels like they should be able to get way higher. And a diamond 3 not building batteries for a Tempest rush? Odd stuff indeed. 9 points for me!
I started off really well with a 0 and a 2, then the third game ruined my score with a 6, ending with a 3. Still a good score for me, but damn, that third game caught us all out.
D1=3 Felt like some kind of Diamond, but I gave it too much of an NA bump (´。_。`) M2=2 Basically based my guess on the player feeling a bit worse than Harstem's Zerg :) P2=5 Tough one to guess because the Terran felt much better than the Zerg, so which one was out-of-league was hard to say :/ P1=2 Overcorrected for the mistake in the first guess Total=12 That third game was a real killer :/
1. Plat1 2. Diamond1. Tight build orders means above platinum xD Micro wasn't perfect and APM seemed to be not so fast as ML-GML have. 3. Gold1. Dudes were idling sometimes even during fights. Zerg splitted his army... by unit type))))) 4. Gold2.17:50 Reaction time: none. The zerg was F2-A-clicking all the time. No target shooting at all. Wait what?! Diamond3?..
I still remember that time WinterStarcraft said that master player was sliver.. and in my head I was like bro, in what world does a sliver player have like 300-400 apm and spends their money ??? Sure it was a ZvZ I believe, so that would make the game seem more messy than it actually is. 😂
You should make the format for Harstem vs the world be your best 7/8 results or something like that, it gives the people who don't miss a week the advantage of losing their worst score and it gives people who miss one week a chance of still doing well, just a thought because I missed the first week and feel bummed about it.
Yea I can’t even watch that guy. I don’t see how people that play SC2. Being smurfed so much and Harstem also does silly challenges but against people his rank. Am I missing something?
@@cheshire9384silly strategies are something that happens often even if we take RU-vidrs out of the equation, but smurfing is definitely bad for the game
isn't smurfing when you purposely lose mmr in order to beat up weaker opponents? I know uThermal in many challenges would start a new account thus starting off at diamond, but his goal was always to try to get the furthest possible with his mmr with the challenge. I'm not sure that's the same as smurfing. and now he only uses accounts that already have GM mmr
@@nikokiko47 creating new accounts "purposely loses mmr in order to beat up weaker opponents". That being said, I still enjoy his content as a guilty pleasure. People that try to say it's not smurfing are not being intellectually honest.
