According to Scriptures everybody knows that there is a Creator but we suppress the truth because we don't want to admit that. So in a way, we all believe in God but we need to put our trust in the work of Jesus on the cross.

@2Chronicles714_ repent of sins is NOWHERE in the the bible. The word repent comes from the the greek word metánoia which means a change of mind. In this context it means a change of mind from unbelief to belief in jesus christ ALONE to be saved.

@teraquewel You can't be serious about Repent of your sins is not in the Bible? You couldn't have read it even once to say that. Some false teacher told you that. Unbelief is a sin but it's not the only sin. Here's a few verses from Jesus that makes ot clear simply believing in Him isn't enough. He must "know" you,meaning an intimate relationship with you, which can not happen without repentance. Matthew 7:21-23 Matthew 25:1-12

@GRACE4LYFE What is the will of the Father? God wants you saved,He wants you Spirit controlled,and He wants you separated from sin. 1 Thessalonians 4:3-8 It is God’s WILL that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality; 4that each of you should learn to control your own body in a way that is holy and honorable, 5not in passionate lust like the pagans, who do not know God; 6and that in this matter no one should wrong or take advantage of a brother or sister. The Lord will punish all those who commit such sins, as we told you, and warned you before. 7For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life. 8Therefore, anyone who rejects this instruction is not rejecting man but the God who gives His Holy Spirit to you. 1 John 2:17 The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the WILL of God LIVES FOREVER. John 10:51 Very truly I tell you, whoever obeys my word will never see death.” All 10 virgin’s believed in Jesus but 5 got complacent with the cares and the love for the world rather than the groom (Christ) and were shut out. The true gospel will offend and generate hostility because it's the truth to those that are under such pervasive deception.

Believing that there is one God is not enough. Even believing Jesus is God is not enough. We must believe in Jesus (have faith in Jesus). Jesus is The Truth. We must believe in The Truth! We must have faith in The Truth. The sum of Yahweh’s Words, Laws, and Commands are Truth. “Now, my Lord Yahweh, you alone are God, and your words are truth.” (2 Samuel 7:28) “You are righteous, O Yahweh, and your ordinances are upright…Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and your law is truth.” (Psalm 119:137-142) “You are near, O Yahweh, and all your commands are truth. (Psalm 119:151) “The sum total of your words adds up to truth, and every one of your righteous decrees is everlasting.” (Psalm 119:160) The Truth will set us free (John 8:32), so we must know The Truth! Jesus is The Truth! (John 14:6) Scripture tells us how to tell if we know The Truth. Scripture tells us that we know that we know Jesus (The Truth) if we keep The Commandments. “And by this we know that we have come to know him, if we keep his commandments. The one who says “I have come to know him,” and does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in this person.” (1 John 2:3-4) Since Jesus is The Truth, and The Truth will set us free, we must seek The Truth until we find it. We must keep seeking The Truth until we are keeping The Commandments. This is the only way we can tell if we have found The Truth (Jesus).

Ok but you won’t see many agnostics or atheists or people from other religions like Buddhism claim they believe Jesus is the son of God…they downright deny that
@themessengeroflight
@themessengeroflight 5 месяцев назад
That is true. Many downright deny that, however, Christians deny The Truth as well. But before the end, EVERYONE will receive the gospel. "And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come." (Matthew 24:14) Christians have so much wrong about The Bible as well. We know that we do not know The Truth if we claim to have no sin (if we have declared ourself righteous - only God can do that). We know that we do not know The Truth if we are not keeping the commandments (how God sees the commandments). That is clear in scripture. So, we just need to keep seeking righteousness until God declares us righteous. God said that if we seek God with our whole heart, we will find God. If an agnostic or an atheist someone from the Buddhist religion is seeking The Truth with their whole heart, they will find The Truth. That applies for us too. If we are seeking God WITH OUR WHOLE HEART, we will find God. In fact, in scripture, we are told to seek The Kingdom and Righteousness first. (Matthew 6:33) This is because God is Righteousness. If we are sinning less and less, we will know that we are coming closer to the True God. If we are still sinning all the time and are not repentant at all for our sins, we are not coming closer to God. If we declare ourself righteous, we are not with God. We just need to seek with our whole heart. That is all we need to do. @@Psawyer555

The difference is that demons don't even want to be saved. They don't ask God to forgive their sins. Demons are in a state of being unrepenteable. Biblical repentance is a change of mind. From trusting on your self, or whatever you earlier trusted on, to trust on Jesus. If you admit you are a sinner in need of God's saving grace and believe Jesus died for your sins and rose from the dead - you are saved. The gospel is so simple so many miss it.

I agree but I also think spiritual beings like demons that are fallen angels probably can’t receive salvation the same way humans can. Part of why so many miss it and stumble over it is because churchianity, not to be cinfused with Christianity, teaches that a sinning believer will go to Hell for their sins, or that a believer MUST have works to be saved, or that faith in Jesus Christ blood isn't enough to save you. They confuse, God is not the author of confusion btw to those who are confused, salvation with discipleship and make them synonymous. If you believe that Christ died for your sins, aka that they are already paid for and you don't have to do anything to make up for those sins, that He was buried, and that He ressurected from the dead on the third day, you are saved and have eternal life. Believe the Gospel = saved Maintaining good works, repenting of sins, persistently having faith, enduring to the end = discipleship Judas Iscariot was a disciple of Lord Jesus Christ, but he was NEVER a believer IN Christ. Our brother and apostle Paul wrote, "Examine yourselves that you are in the faith." Paul did NOT write, "Examine yourselves that you 'truly believe'." Which means, Examine yourself that you really do BELIEVE that Christ died for your sins, that it was sufficient payment for ALL your sins forever, that He was buried, and that on the third day He ressurected from the dead. Examine yourselves that you actually BELIEVE that it's true, that if you believe it you HAVE, present tense, ETERNAL life. DO NOT examine your works or how often you sin to see if you are saved and a believer, which would be "examining if you 'truly' believe".

@@SlayingSin In Christianity, sin is understood as any thought, word, or action that goes against the will of God and violates His moral law. While sin can certainly involve transgressions of specific commandments or laws outlined in the Bible, it encompasses much more than merely breaking rules. Sin is a broader concept that encompasses the inherent brokenness, rebellion, and moral corruption within humanity. 1. **Violation of Relationship with God:** At its core, sin disrupts the relationship between humans and God. It separates individuals from God's presence and disrupts communion with Him. Sin alienates humans from their Creator, leading to spiritual emptiness and a sense of disconnection from God. 2. **Failure to Live up to God's Standard:** Sin involves falling short of the perfect standard of righteousness set by God. It includes not only outward actions but also inward attitudes and intentions that are contrary to God's character of love, holiness, and justice. This includes sins of omission, where individuals fail to do what is right and just. 3. **Brokenness in Human Nature:** Christianity teaches that all humans are born with a sinful nature inherited from Adam and Eve, known as original sin. This inherent sinful nature inclines individuals toward selfishness, pride, greed, envy, and other sinful behaviors. As a result, every aspect of human existence-mind, emotions, will, and desires-is affected by sin. 4. **Rooted in Selfishness and Idolatry:** Sin often stems from self-centeredness and the exaltation of one's own desires, ambitions, or pleasures above God. It involves placing anything or anyone above God in terms of loyalty, affection, or devotion, thereby committing idolatry. 5. **Impact on Others and Creation:** Sin not only affects individuals personally but also has broader consequences on relationships with others and the created world. Sin can lead to brokenness, conflict, injustice, suffering, and environmental degradation, disrupting the harmony and flourishing intended by God. Christianity teaches that the consequences of sin are profound, leading to spiritual death (separation from God), relational brokenness, and ultimately eternal separation from God if left unaddressed. However, the central message of Christianity is the hope of redemption and reconciliation through Jesus Christ, who offers forgiveness, transformation, and restoration to all who turn to Him in repentance and faith. Through Christ's sacrificial death and resurrection, believers are offered forgiveness of sin, reconciliation with God, and the promise of eternal life

John 17:3 says And this is life eternal, that they might KNOW thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. The Bible says that eternal life is to KNOW the Father and Jesus. How are we able to know that we have come to KNOW the Father and Jesus? 1 John 2:3-4 says 3 And by this we know that we have come to know him, if we keep his commandments. 4 Whoever says “I know him” but does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him. So, assurance of eternal life in Christ is to keep the commandments(plural) of Christ and by this we can KNOW that we KNOW Him and have eternal life. The Bible clearly says that whoever says they KNOW Him but does not keep His commandments(plural) is a LIAR!! Plain and simple. The gospel that is taught to many people today has been reduced down to just "faith alone". This false gospel of "faith alone" has made following the commandments of Christ null and void. Obeying His commandments have been eliminated from the gospel and have been made subsequent and optional to salvation. Walking in the Spirit has been made optional as well. This false gospel of "faith alone" changes what Jesus said in Matthew 7:14 - For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few. Instead of following the biblical teaching on salvation in Christ, they follow this false gospel which tells them that they can be saved by "faith alone", apart from having to keep the commandments of Christ. By teaching that we do NOT need to keep the commandments(plural) of Christ as the gospel, the saving power of the gospel has been neutralized. The end result is that millions of people have been deceived by the devil's masterpiece into thinking they have eternal life in Christ when they actually do not.

It did not matter how much they believe or don't believe Jesus wasn't born of one of them and so was not a kinsman redeemer to them. Read James 1:1 and see who James is talking to. Jas 1:1 KJV James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting. See it? The 12 tribes of ISRAEL. Believers today are not Israel. We are the BODY of Christ. The body of Christ is made up of neither Jew or Gentiles, we are all one. Gal 3:28 KJV There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. Whenever you see a separation of Jew and Gentile, the body of Christ is not present in that context. So, James is not talking to us today. Under the gospel of the kingdom that James, Jesus and the 12 preached works were required by faith. Works did not save them, but their faith in doing the works saved them. We today need to believe and then have to trust in Christ's death burial and resurrection to be saved. By grace, through faith in Christ alone. No works required. That is why Paul calls our gospel the gospel of the GRACE of God.
