Interestingly, the FAA just approved a DJI drone with a dock (about $15k total cost for both) that is allowed to fly over people without prior authorization (it has a parachute build in). Yet the government is considering banning them... smh

Low concern IMHO. Or I suspect Ebay and Aliexpress will make this a non issue. Pricing would be the main issue, as i suspect it would most likely be higher, plus additonal import / duty fees.

The restrictions for FPV in the UK are a pain, I understand the saftey aspect, but there are not many clubs, and the open areas are all owned by farmers. Simply put, no where to legally fly. Unless you are rich and own a lot of land.

That last comment lol. I have so many spares for may alien frames, I upgraded them with walksnail and elrs. Rest of the parts are still solid. It rips (5s).

I am more worried that their goggles are not compatible with all their cameras.

They have found that drones are the future, they just trying their best to control it, thats expected, in my opinion dont swest it , just fly till your quad drops out the sky, While I do respect the law, nothing will stop me from flying, even if I have to migrate to another country, the world is so big, you cant stop quads from getting airbourn...full stop!!

The closest thing you can get to DJI is the anzu mavic copy and paste
