Did you know that today is the 77th anniversary of the Golden Gate Bridge? What else do you know about the iconic California landmark? Aerial America has a quick history lesson: bit.ly/1r18arO
I meet a guy in Bali Indonesia 🇮🇩, he's from San Francisco .. he's handsome and cute. He's older than me. I don't know where is he now ... I miss him 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
The Music perfectly fits it. San Francisco is densely populated within 46 miles. The golden Gate Bridge is a real modern and beautiful engineering wonder.
Ah yes The Golden Gate Bridge - The Longest and Tallest Suspension Bridge in The World - One of San Francisco's Landmarks - Historically Iconic Structure - A Famous Hollywood Star - Metal of 24k International Orange!
The Golden Gate Bridge was built with very few federal or state funds. The surrounding counties formed a district and sold bonds in order to cover the project, with the last of these bonds being paid off I believe in the early 1980s. Compare that to today when cities will beg for federal funding or grants for relatively minor mundane civic projects. Different times.
I have the Golden Gate Bridge poster in my room. I've driven on it. I've flown under and over it in a helicopter. It's awesome! International orange is the actual color.
Interesting and informative, San Francisco is such a beautiful city, I also love visiting Marin and Mount Tamalpais. The Golden Gate bridge is a highlight of this area.
Here and now, up on the ridge, promise you won’t look down, won’t jump, wont fall of the edge, take my hand and I will show you how to love again. Much love.
Most engineers estimated that it would cost 100 million 💵. However, Joseph Strauss believed he could complete the project for a modest 25 to 30 million 💵. Eventually, he saved 65 to 70 million 💵. I personally appreciate Sir Joseph Strauss.❤
Me and my friends use to go to Baker Beach at night during low tide and we would walk all the way till we were under it sometimes the tide would start coming in and we would have to get back to the beach as fast as we could to not get trapped and end up in the ocean crazy to think and I won't do it anymore , but fun times glad I got to experience it
Amazing video. I love the Smithsonian Channel! I just built an edible version of the Golden Gate Bridge and posted a video tour of the best views of the bridge.
What Do I Know About the Golden Gate Bridge? I know that on Aug. 13th 2002 Kevin Scott Noah was killed while working on it and that for the next 5 years his company along with GGB officials did their best to cover up the facts surrounding Kevins death and that the case would come to be refered to as one of the most currupt cases ever investigated by OSHA and that to this day Kevins case is often discussed by congress and allthough the bridge did nothing to improve on worker safety a photo of kevin and his story still sits proudly on capital hill in Wahington DC as a reminder of what still needs to change. Thats what I know
I'm not cut out to build a bridge for 2 reasons: 1) I'm too dumb to engineer one and 2) I'd feel so badly about putting large groups out of business and destitute.
It's crazy that the Charmed Crew, did scenes on top of the bridge. You would think you would find a better place to be, but no....they chose a bridge....
The Health Department (as well as medical examiner and police) will NOT tell you how many people jump to their deaths: it's higher than ever in 2018. Unhappy renters or techies?
