In Liyue it's "I made a deal with the Fatui because if things got out of hand the Geo archon's powers would stop it" and we're supposed to be fine with it, but then in Inazuma the Kujou guy goes "I made a deal with the Fatui because if things got out of hand the Electro archon's powers would stop it" and we're supposed to have a completely different reaction? Neither is fine, Zhongli helping the Fatui to plot an attack on his own city is awful.

Zhongli condition for his people to be free is that they manage to beat an "easy" boss fight while he sit down sipping tea with the culprit. That's one hell of an ego he's having.

What he meant "by nothing" is that she's barely started into her role - yeah, she fixed a lot of shit but Nahida has a laundry list to do and she's probably not even halfway through
She only changed drastically after the traveller come. Before the traveller come, she mostly doing nothing (only help some small people, yes) and let the sage do whatever they want without any doubt in mind tho.
Zhongli's character stories say his "funeral parlor consultant" job just means knowing about all the esoteric funerary traditions and superstitions that exist throughout Liyue and across time, and implementing them accordingly. As for what he actually does, he is basically a socialite who's on call for most fancy places in Liyue to ramble about any topic the crowd finds impressive. Zhongli's retirement is quite cushy.
Yeah, but he's also not against of using other people and their money :p He literally uses Hu Tao's money all the time and also used Childe's money, although they were Fatui's money.
For people who still think Venti's the weakest: - Keep in mind we still haven't fully explored his connection to Istaroth (God of Time/"The Thousand Winds") - The Barbatos statue inscription that says "The gateway to Celestia" implies deep Celestial ties - During the whole confrontation with Signora, his hair never glowed meaning he never once tried using his powers against her - He showed no intention of getting the gnosis back afterwards - He talks about Celestia to the Traveler like someone would diss relatives they don't like - He is a seemingly bottomless well of secrets, and we still don't have a story quest part 2 for him

If I remember correctly, I think there were some kind of hints during 1.x events that Venti once knew Traveler, which, if true, is very interesting. I am surprised that we still have not got Venti Story Quest 2, but I guess that would mean a new Weekly Boss, which would first mean a region expansion

So many people act like Venti is lazy because he drinks beer and plays music. Yes he values his own freedom and wants to be anonymous, but he literally formed Mondstadt so everyone can live their best life and he is helpful.
Yeah, my choice is either Liyue or Mondstadt. Mondstadt is more carefree, but Liyue is more developed, and none of them are batshit insane. Sure, Kaijus attacked Liyue twice, but Mondstadt was also terrorized by Dvalin for a while, and straight up a whole region is wolf land, no authority. I might still choose Mondstadt at the end of the day, I'd rather be a happy drunk than Xingqiu's overworked employee. As for other nations, Inazuma is a 3rd world dictatorship where everyone is poor except for Kokomi and the people of Narukami, Sumeru is segregated (working on it) and your worth is mostly dictated by academics, while Fontaine has... Furina. I love her as a character and waifu, but fuck I'm never gonna live under her rule.
I mean, I don't personally know about staying in Mondstat as it is right now. They're heavily undermanned. Have you seen the workload the Knights have to deal with while the rest go traipsing across Teyvat? It doesn't help that it seems like about half the people left behind are overworked while the other half are slacking. I'm with Diluc on this one, the Knights are good folk, but I don't trust them to keep the place running smoothly for an extended period of time. Then again, Fontaine and Inazuma are dystopian, and for multiple reasons each. I'm gonna have to put my vote on Liyue. Even if Zhongli is committed to his retirement plan, the Qixing and the Mililieth seem to have a good handle on things. Qingce Village in particular seems like a great place to settle into.
I'd say Inazuma , they are more advanced than mondstad. Their military is strong, and is protected by a strong archon. Life is peaceful on the narukami island and nobody cares about watatsumi
The fact that venti got beat up by signora means nothing because when an archon uses their powers their hair glows to their element (example nahidas turns greener) and ventis in the signora fight wasnt glowing for shi
If Venti was trying, he would 100% just wind blast her up to the stratosphere and watch Signora free fall to her death as he drank copious amounts of alcohol.
It's also interesting how venti wasn't flustered by her appearance at all. She came there clearly threatening him and instead of venti doing like anything to save his ass he shit-talked their god in their face
The way Venti is capable of shredding mountains and blowing them away, creating blackholes, teleportation, the ability to see/predict the past present and future as well as being the closest archon to Celestia and the community still calls him the weakest archon.. It shows how little they actually know about Venti because it was stated in his lore that he would never hurt a child of Monstadt. Venti also knows about the hardships Signora has experienced with her late lover who died. She was calling for Barbatos but I think Venti was asleep(poisoned) so he couldn't help them.
Let's be fair, Venti never denied those big feats, it's just that he implied that he couldn't do them anymore. When he said "I am now the weakest archon among The Seven", a lot of people noted "now" as an operative word. They know he shredded mountains, we all know, the proof is all around Mondstat and spoonfed to us in events like the latest adventure in the Golden Apple Archipelago, it's just that those all took place long ago and we don't have proof that he can *still* do those things, which leaves the community guessing between two possibilities: That he's hiding his powers (as you and I believe) or that he just doesn't have that kind of power anymore. Now, let it be known that I have never considered Venti to be an honest person, pretty sure we all came into this game expecting the Wind God to be some kind of trickster, but I can see where they're coming from. We'll just have to see as the game progresses. Then again, there's a third possibility that I came across one day and found funny: that he's not even aware that he's the strongest and just assumed he's the weakest. Nothing beats an air-headed Wind God, lol.

At the time Venti claimed he was the weakest archon, Nahida was literally being imprisoned by her people as well and had next to no followers at all and we already know thanks to Nahida how an archon gets power and it revealed that Venti did lie to us, so what's stopping him from lying about his own strength? Not to mention in the ars goetia, the demon Venti is based off of is known for knowing events of past, present and future, communicating with animals and when summoned, is summoned with 4 kings (the 4 winds) and in the ars goetia, Barbatos is a highranking demon being the 8th most powerful of 72 powerful demons and is ranked as the duke of hell Not to mention(x2) you're just believing a character who's had a clear history of being a trickster, lying and deceiving people
I’d go with post-AQ Sumeru personally. They seem to have a pretty robust social safety net since education and healthcare are free (Alhaitham mentions this), and is very pretty with a lot to do. The systemic racism problem is being dealt with in an ideal manner- developing infrastructure for education and other important needs with desert dwellers in charge of the programs and the traditional leadership and culture intact. I was honestly pretty impressed with how Genshin handled that resolution, and how they acknowledged racist systems can’t be solved by everyone just being nice. They actually work to solve the economic disparity the old leadership created. Assuming no AQ tho, agreed, Mondstadt. Place has basically no problems from what we can tell lmao. I only say Sumeru at all bc we know basically nothing about how the government in Monds works and also, idk, I think I’d get kinda bored there lmao
We also have to think about how Venti forged a agreement between the aristocrats and Zhongi so that the people of Monstadt would back against them, and no one knew that for a long time. So I don’t think we can trust Venti’s word that he’s the weakest archon.

Both Venti and Nahida said that their strength depends on the people's worship to them (btw the gliders we are using must be blessed by Barbatos or else the gliders would never work in the first place) and Venti has a literal church dedicated to Barbatos and Nahida only has few followers in the Sabzerus Festival cuz the AkademIya actively dislikes her before the entire archon quest ended. But with Furina, the people treat her like their celebrity or mascot and not someone to be worshipped and to have faith in her, maybe that's why Furina might be the weakest archon. She shouldn't have flinched at Childe, who is supposed to be the weakest Fatui Harbinger who ranks the lowest as the 11th, but couldn't speak clearly when he wanted a duel with her. Venti could have used his full power at Signora but can't cuz he would've blown up the entirety of Cider Lake and the city cuz this is also the guy who can terraform with razor-sharp winds
As far as we know, archon's power is dependent on their control over their subject though, which is why Venti is seen as weakest. Not to mention all the other archon also look down on him. New info might come up revealing that this is a lie, but it hasn't yet. So for now, it is perfectly reasonable to assume he's the weakest. Plus he's the archon with the least "feats" so far, so there's that too.
I think the Furina thing probably still counts, its just a similar situation to venti because its not the same as being followed as an all-powerful leader (Celestia Morals). I would probably say by this logic and considering age and experience, Nahida is probably the weakest in both senses with it being a toss up between venti and furina (leaning towards venti). Also weakest harbinger doesn't mean weak, especially considering he has supposedly gotten stronger since we last fought, the harbingers have a scary reputation for power regardless
Even if he's the weakest, it doesn't mean he's objectively weak. He can still level mountains and stuff. Also personally Furina sounds like the weakest.
We don't know for sure, maybe he was back when the original seven were in power and now that it's only 2 and a half of them the ranking is different, maybe he was talking about power ceiling, wouldn't be surprised if the water God, in a world with so much water, where their living beings depend on it, and the god connected to the magical tree that works as the server of the whole world, are potentially stronger than him. Furina is honestly a weird case, and we don't know everything about her for now, she seems to be riddled with anxiety and insecurities, being the physically closest to Celestia publically known archon probably doesn't help with that, wouldn't be surprised if she's way way stronger than she thinks she is
Another mark against Zhongli: Shenhe's story. A village making child sacrifices to a demon god, right near Liyue's main city, was happening as recently as ~30 years ago. Guess Morax just didn't care about that? Not a great look.
That's a single incident and even still it was the adepti that still saved the child. And liyue is still the most prosperous nation and in my opinion the safest
@@basharibrahim2193 I'd say Mondstadt is the safest with Lyue as a close second, the knights are just a straight upgrade to the Militia because of the main cast's power and Mond is also more connected to their adventurers in general who are in their own way more potent than your average guard. Sure, it might not have the Yaksha's but the general safety is still high + it's hard to find treasure hoarders around there while they are swarming Lyue. And not to mention Venti for what it's worth is extremely good at taking care of people + has a nice and big dragon to ask for help if needed now that Dvalin is freed. And then there's the whole fiasco with Alice who is a one of a kind entity in Teyvat and would surely not let anything bad happen to her beloved Klee. I'd much rather live in Mondstadt, but wouldn't think i got the short end of the stick if I had to live in Lyue either.
Read the story again, that wasn't what was happening and it was explicitly explained throughout the archon quest that there were alterations about the real story. And also, that was a minor incident tbh that even xiao who is actively purging evil did not know about it.
No way people think Venti is the weakest because Signora kicked him?? Surely there wouldn't be any casualties if he resisted in the middle of a populated city, right? I'd prefer a god who doesn't think keeping their power is worth the lives of their people over the one who traded that power and didn't give two shits about a few people dying. Moreover, from the time of Rene’s father to the time of Navia’s father, the average standard of living(at least economically) in the underground was not particularly lower than in the upper city... So this is not the Sumeru desert, not even close. In Fontaine there is no theme like: “you were born at the bottom and therefore you will remain there.”

I agree, people don't realize there is a huge racism in Sumeru, very huge. Probably the most racism country in Teyvat. And changing that reality is not as easy as it look. Free health care, great education, free research funds, it only happen in forest areas, and even so, government even look down on art, which makes some people like Kaveh find it hard to live with his career
I'd pick liyue. Mainly because if there's human issues, we have Yelan and the qixing. If there's demonic issues, we have the adepti. It also feels like the nation with a whole lot of diverse specialties, meaning economy would likely be very stable. They have adepti in liyue harbor itself that can make sure that whoever steps up after ningguang is a good fit. Overall, feels like a secure nation to live in long term. ~~tldr: Ganyu slays~~ Yes i still hate what zhongli did. But he's likely still going to act in the face of real danger. Mond is....tiny. and it feels like the knights are quite underfunded. Sure they have diluc rosaria kaeya and albedo, but the moment a full out war happens, I'm just not fully confident. It feels more like a countryside village than a full city, and its economy feels like it heavily relies on wine. And Diluc's business probably has monopoly on it. It's a nation full of "normal" people with assumbably a low population compared to the norm. Not to mention, with only one organization, it would likely not be thay difficult to infiltrate. Jean and the others are exceptions. Theyre not gonna stabilize the nation forever. Venti is still my fav archon Inazuma is inazuma. No need to elaborate further. Even at times of peace, i still would likely not stay in a place so isolated. Raiden will now act in her people's best interests, yes, but most of the work is handled by the commissions, and i...cant say i understand it but...i suppose i just dont trust it. It's already been infiltrated 2/3rds of the way. Though having power split like that is probably better than the knights of mond, i cant imagine it being the *most* secure. The nation's lockdown also likely to have created long strifes in trades. Its going to be difficult setting up international connections either way (unless you actually leave, and with the issue of being on a literally different landmass, its going to be way more tough through time and mora) In sumeru, it feels like you should be smart. Anything beyond that isnt appreciated much meaning, if youre unfortunate enough to be born on the wrong side of the wall or simply lacked the ability to keep up, you're likely to end up isolated/ostracized. However, i wouldnt mind staying with tighnari if i *did* get to choose. Fontaine has you running the risk of being put to jail unfairly. Even if i were to say im confident enough that it should very rarely happen and what we saw was a special case, it's the issue of one wrong move/accusation and your entire name gets tarnished

to bring zhongli to discuss liyue is just weird. The whole point of liyue archon quest is that the people of liyue don't need their archon and the adepti, but they are still praised and respected, just not necessary. Ningguang carries btw.
If Adepti aren't there the humans are fucked. Sure Jade Chamber could get some great one shot kills. But it was thanks to adepti's power we were able to even drop one.

Sure, Mondstat is probably currently the safest and nicest place to live in Genshin at the moment. Sumeru however is probably on the best trajectory moving forward. If were looking to move to Teyvat, I would probably look for a place with greater potential. Sumeru has public health care, which for is a huge benefit consider none of the other nations appear to have anything remotely similar. Higher education is also considerably easier to obtain. Universities are an enormous source of jobs and R and D for any society as well as enrichment. As for the apartheid thing, that is obviously bad but you certainly won't fixed racism by moving to another nation and forgetting about it. The racist elements of Sumeru are also indicative of their higher degree of diversity. Diversity is really important to peoples' lives even if they don't care to admit it.

Mondstadt tbh. 1. Slow and carefree 2. Beautiful scenery 3. Military is surprisingly strong (Varka, Knights, broken strong mages like Alice and Lisa) 4. Hard to breach (High castle walls in the middle of a lake with one bridge) 5.Great food and great people. Pretty much cool with everyone except the old Aristocracy. 6.Stable economy( Thanks Diluc)
Slow and carefree aren't really ideal qualities for a nation but if you like it then okay. Literally the most basic ass looking region in the entire game. 10 strong people don't make a good military. And Varka has been away for like 3 years and if you're not related to Klee in some way Alice ain't doing shit for you. It's the second easiest national to breach lol. Liyue has protection by Chasm, tall ass mountains and a harbour. Inazuma is literally isolated. Sumeru is probably the easiest nation to invade. Fontaine is the most technologically advanced region so no. Great food and amazing people like amber I can agree. And it's one of the worst economies in the game lmfao. Liyue is the strongest economical region I don't think I need to tell why. Fontaine and Sumeru come in second and third. Inazuma is the worst. The only thing keeping Monstand stable is wine and that's not a good thing at all. One person has monopoly over the entire economy. That's not a good thing at all .

I’d still say Liyue without plot armour as well. It’s the safest place by far considering the protection of the adepti and also the most commercially viable. As for Zhongli he’s been protecting liyue for the past 6000 years and the dude wanted to make sure that the kids can at least do some of the grunt work because he had been coddling them for too long and he probably knows that they are going to be approaching a future where there will be no archon to take care of them. I doubt Zhongli would throw hands if a REAL problem came up which wasn’t under his control. He did interfere during the chasm incident and The whole Osial incident was his doing so I’m sure he would have stepped in and thought of the experiment as a failure if things really went south. Case in point Azdaha, if he was going to abandon Liyue entirely he would have let the rock toad go rampant until Ningguang found another jade chamber to throw at it. We’ve not seen enough of Mondstat tbh so I’d still hold my judgement and Venti had pretty much been MIA until Dvalin really messed up. The whole aristocratic thing that went down with slavery etc he barely did anything which means he never really helped then just let them do what they wanted and figure it out themselves. So basically Zhongli and Venti are the same except the difference is Zhongli nurtured Liyue and prepared them to be independent rather then Venti who just went ciao and gave mondstat to figure out stuff by themselves. Venti only stepped in because he had abandoned Dvalin and was squarely to blame for his corruption which he could have prevented had he not vanished. Zhongli meanwhile shaped Liyue, it’s entire governance system and commercial system making it the most prosperous of all the regions. It’s also one of the most safest by far unless you decide to venture into the chasm which has been sealed off to protect people. So yeah I’d still say Liyue would be the place to live and Zhongli was the best archon. He cultivated the place enough in terms of safety and commerce for them not to be entirely dependant on him and didn’t want to rule over them so also gave them the independence to handle themselves all the while keeping contingencies like the adepti etc to safeguard them and their commerce. A pretty damn good archon and place to live if you ask me
Adding to this point Liyue would probably also be the safest from an invasion in case Shneznaya or any other place wants wants to wage war. With its strategic port, juyeun karst one side and dragonspine on another it would be hard to invade Liyue and cut off its supplies. Plus they are the richest too and have pretty much an army which I don’t see as much in the other nations as well as the adepti. I think people forget about the fact that liyue is the only country where the fatui didn’t actively wage a war but had the archons permission to do it. The fact that the tsarista also understood not to mess with Zhongli but had yet no qualms in straight up making her harbinger attack Venti just shows who is the tougher opponent. The other nations I feel are self explanatory as to why are not great places to live but I am surprised at the mondstat vs liyue discord. Mondstat is a peaceful country yes but is doomed the second someone actively tries to invade it. Venti may be powerful but is clearly not see as a threat by the other nations which makes it more likely to be the first place of invasion. My guess it’s also one of the reasons that the abyss order is so prominent there

Liyue's economic system is far from ideal, most of the population still does manual labour unlike in Fontaine where industrialisation has improved things a lot (Fontaine is def worse overall given the slums). More importantly than that, there is great wealth inequality, which is what gave rise to the treasure hoarders, as seen when the Chasm closed and treasure hoarder numbers swelled from the Qixing making hundreds of miners unemployed. Liyue is a mercantilist oligarchy, very much a less pleasant place to live than Mondstadt or even Sumeru Forest imo.
It's so funny that the fanbase pretends Zhongli has a sugar daddy in Childe when in reality Hu Tao is his sugar momma and Childe was just temporarily his wallet for literally 1 instance in the entire patch of 1.1
1 instance? Zhongli literally went to Childe every time they needed money for the Rite of Parting that it became a running gag in the Archon Quest, that's more than 1 instance. What is questionable is why Childe/the Fatui is sponsoring the Rite of Parting in the first place when it should fall under the purview of the Qixing/Wangshen Funeral Parlor. It makes no sense, but I guess they have to involve Childe so he doesn't just seemingly pop up out of nowhere
@@mishimaro5423 a running gag means it's constantly happening throughout the story when the trigger for the gag occurs. The Childe wallet joke was only a thing for two scenes (once for Zhongli & another for Traveler) and hasn't been a thing since 1.1. Zhongli forgetting mora is still a reoccurring thing, hence it's an actual running gag.

okay, I agree with Mr.Zajef, but explaining Zhongli's job and why in universe it's not "useless" (but I do agree he's definitely a nepo baby). IRL a job like being a consultant in a funeral parlor doesn't make any sense but in the game it's said that Hu Tao's Funeral Parlor doesn't deal with only normal things, that would include that they have to deal with deaths of the adepti and other gods/semi-gods/celestial beings, Zhongli himself being the first adepti and Ex-Archon actually makes him an amazing choice to help Hu Tao with that, therefore in-universe his job makes a lot of sense. With that being said, Venti is still the best archon we've encountered so far and the people who believe that he's the weakest are truly being deceived by him, he didn't resist Signora's attack bc he wanted to get rid of the gnosis in a "safe" way, also if we talking about sheer strength I'm pretty sure he's stronger than the LITERAL TODDLER
Yeah, it baffles me that the Venti is seemingly the most hated when he literally did a bunch of the heavy lifting, is chill, and has a lot of mysterious lore (like the fact he’s literally disguised as his dead friend). Not only that he comes across as wise as Nahida. Zhongli did basically nothing, except be a weird step-dad that didn’t leave his house for 60 years so you have to go around explaining new stuff to him as he flexes his ancient knowledge like a crazy history teacher. Ei was completely useless and just sat in a room whilst an emotionless robot clone with 2 lines of dialogue did the actual ruling, plus her summoned fox is more of an archon than her. Somehow this is the most popular archon (although Nahida might be now). Nahida was a newer archon so we had to assist her in getting back to normal, but at least overall she was wise and joined us, even giving us Free Win Pokémon vs Scaramouche. We actually felt like we bonded with Nahida out of all the others. Furina is literally just a clown so far, where like Ei, the true archon is basically Neuvillette. I’m thinking she might be deeper than we think, I hope she comes to confide in us so we can help her nations issues (as usual)… but knowing the story so far we might be doing stuff from the side-lines without Furina.
mondstat is so safe and peaceful, in a very beautiful part of the world where everything is green, and its a small place in which everyone knows eachother which is cool, and it has taverns in which ppl gather and chill/have fun, plus the archon himself is there too, mondstat is literally the only right answer. however im a raiden simp so im going to inazuma

There is something about him and wind and time that I can't just put in words. Maybe he will be more relevant in the plot of the traveler later.
I would prefer to get 1984'd in Sumeru rather than live with literally mentally insane and dangerous people. There is literally no way Mondstadt could even stand a day without Diluc or Jean, it would just collapse and the water fountain would turn into alcohol one. Liyue definitely feels more safe, at least you know that literally everyone in that nation would instantly come to solve the problem
Yes, if top harbingers like Jester or Capitano would assassinate Diluc and Jean than Mondstadt would collapse on itself without any chances. It is not safe to foreign threats. Sure it's the safest place from monsters and environmental hazards but it has too weak security and government. The only thing that can actually save Mondstadt is Varka introduction into setting if he is competent.
Most of the Knights literally just went on some kind of expedition like four years ago and are still absent. The rest do not even do anything, it is something that game actually shows; and the ones who actually want to do something useful are doing some stupid things like protecting a hole in the wall, not even a gate

There were 0 casualties in the Beishit fight and if humans couldn't defeat them he was there on standby. It's not like Venti is the picture perfect archon. In fact he was sleeping when slavery was plaguing his people. No slavery has happened in Liyue and it's always been a much more developed nation than monstadt. Zhongli is the one who has done the most shit for his people lmao. Raiden fucked up but she accepted it and is trying to do better. Nahida was literally born 500 years ago that's baby years for Archons and the moment we saved her. -solves Akasha -helps apep -makes an active effort to minimise Racism -defeats Scaramouche -cures an uncurable disease She's literally cleared most of the problems within mere MONTHS of her being free. The only problems left in Sumeru are racism and the overvaluation of intelligence which cannot be fixed easily. Furina is clowning. Saying any of the Archons except Furina haven't done "NOTHING" is just plain stupid. All of them have defended their nations for millennials. Also everyone knows Venti is better than Zhongli from a meta perspective. He's not overrated because he's the best at his job. Making you invincible to 99% of the enemies.
I would probably pick post Archon Quest Sumeru over the other choices. Sumeru seems like the nation with the best social safety net currently. Post AQ Nahida is working with Raman for better infrastructure and education for the peoples on the other side of the wall of Samiel. I feel like post aq Nahida also doesn't have the caveat of Venti where he need to sleep for hundreds of years. There's multiple exemple where this basically fucked over regular Monsdadt citizens by allowing groups of really "unsavory" people to be in power. My second choice is Fontaine because it's protect by someone that is currently slightly under or arguably at the level of the Primordial One / Celestia , which is a lot higher than the Archons. The food tastes good and weed is legal there too I guess lmao. Sidenote: I feel like people are overtly harsh over Inazuma. Like during all the time that the puppet was rulling , Inazuma was super prosperous it's mostly only during the start of the visions hunt / sakoku decree that thing started going to shit. I am sure that if we started the game in Monds during the Lawrence clan authoritarian rule peoples would easily see the flaw of Venti "philosophy".
i mean the difference is, in Lawrence Clan incident, Venti actively solve the problem when it's not his fault to begin with. Venti didn't approve Lawrence Clan method. It will be different with Ei's situation, where Ei actively let Fatui in because it doesn't intefere with her Eternity
Fontaine, assuming they can do something about the rising water level and the potential for the people to dissolve Eva style. It's the only country shown to have modern quality of life features. Yeah, their court system is flawed, but the publics reaction to Childe being convicted shows that things like that are pretty uncommon. I'm not explicitly convinced the other nations are any better in their judicial proceedings. The court being public entertainment is a plus in my opinion, as more eyes on something acts as a natural disinfectant.
Pre-Archon/Mid-Archon quests ngl the entire world is absolute garbage, Monstadt is falling to dragon attacks, Liyue lost its god and is being flooded, Inazuma is in war, watatsumi is eroding, tsurumi is uninhabitable, serai kills you instantly, Sumerus rainforests have dangerous withering zones and animals and enemies and hard to traverse/navigate terrain with few local rainforest experts to assist you, at the city everyone is being manipulated and will DIE if the MC doesnt intervene, the desert is inhospitable for regular people with constant sandstorms and dangerous mechanical enemies along with animals, the chasm is being flooded with black goo which drives people insane, Enka is just dangerous no matter what having the most powerful overworld ememies like lectors and bathysmal vishaps, fontaine will have you drowning before you even get there and you'll probably do something completely normal but its illegal on the 3rd week of the 5th month on blue moons at 5pm when the temperature is 25C° and you're swiftly sent to the fortress of meropide. Every place other than the subareas is a heaven after the archon quests, Monstadt is peaceful and prosperous with festivities and wine, Liyue is the nation of wealth and has probably the best restaurants in all of teyvat along with the most beautiful festival, Inazuma has the most beautiful islands with a stable government and a present archon to protect her citizens, Sumeru has the best quality of life ensuring health and education with an almost omniscient god who might not be the best at combat against high tier enemies but shes the perfect leader, and for fontaine we'll have to see.
Liyue unquestionably. It is the only region with adeptus teapot tech, so Liyue by default allows you to also live in your teapot. Your teapot generates universal basic income so you never have to work. Minimal farming of wood/seeds from the outside will yield massively disproportionate gains of housing and food inside. And finally, you are at no risk of getting pressed by enemies while inside, whereas literally everything wants to kill you outside.
If u live as a anormal person that's not the Traveller , then that technology is gate-kept and used only by the adepti, and unless you have some sort of importance to them(saving the region kinda importance), it isn't really given to you..... so yeah...... Also if you're the Traveller after getting teapot it doesn't matter which region cuz you live in the teapot then, not a region
Nahida did the same amount of work Venti did… Venti during the quest didn’t quell stormterrors rage. Nahida helped us discontinue the samsara. Healed the village keepers, fixed the people that were mind controlled by Dottore, protected all the people that were with the traveller and co when they fell into the tomb and assisted in defeating the mechanized faux god piloted by the balladeer. Nahida isn’t even my favorite archon but she is by far the best when it comes to actually getting her job done. Venti couldn’t even help Dvalin cuz as soon as he brought out the lyre he let an abyss mage blast it

I feel like this has changed now with Neuvillette in power in Fontaine. He at the very least *appears* to be a very capable leader who will do everything he can to protect his people. I’d say the rankings are now 1. Monstadt 2. Fontaine 3. Liyue 4. Sumeru 5. Inazuma I think Zaj underrated Nahida’s achievements, however the country still has very many underlying issues that cannot be solved overnight. On the contrary, Fontaine’s issues were pretty much all solved overnight. Liyue remains as a place that in theory is good to live in, but it’s also a country that is under constant turmoil and has questionable leadership. Inazuma is not really in the conversation, even after Shogun’s ‘reformation,’ as she could at any moment decide to implement some asinine rule and there would be nothing anyone could do about it.
Fontaine does seemingly have a systemic issue with its class system, but with Neuvillette as the chief justice, and Navia/Poisson in a leadership role within that very class system, I find it very unlikely that it would continue as it has for so long.
I’d still rather live in Sumeru rather than Mondstadt cause I like the people there more and I feel like I’d get bored in Mond. (Plus the good food and vibes in Sumeru are top tier whereas hanging around drunkards doesn’t sound fun to me) I’d also definitely pay a visit to the pyramid, it would be so gorgeous. Fontaine seems like the best place to vacation but not to live. Liyue and Inazuma aren’t even in the equation for me lmao Sure Nahida could read my mind, but what is she going to do about it? All she’d see is unserious half-baked plans to commit (harmless) crimes in Fontaine so that I could see Wriothesley up close 🤫
Only decent artifacts I got from new domain are flowers and feathers. And they’re not even that good. But all sands, goblets and hats are complete trash. I’m actually kinda salty. Hopefully, i’d be able to get something good some time soon.
Isn't the part about the regions too archon focused? I mean, sure, the archons are relevant but I would say the more important thing to consider are the politics and how easy life is in every region.
Being the weakest archon doesn't mean anything imo. We will NEVER have an arc where the nations go to war so why does it matter? Besides, the weakest archon can still solo literally all non archon characters we have rn. What can Yae Miko, Xiao, Neuvilette or Cyno do when they're caught up in the storm? Not much I would say.

Nahida drastically downplayed. Even before she was freed she was helping people around, seems like someone skipped whole Aaru Village dialogues. Not to mention all the initiatives she took after taking down the academia. Also she was completely involved throughout act 2 and for taking down scaramouche, she also gave us the most info about our siblings. I would say venti is 2nd best for sure though. zhongli is many levels below venti and raiden is just downright terrible.
Assuming the world post archon quest: Best is Liyue because actual good economic opportunity, with good enough public transport. Good experienced government. And nice quality of life. Inazuma no because lack behind economically. Plus authoritarian leadership plus bad logistic Sumeru no because of the classes difference, racism issue. Economically unstable Fontaine we dont know much yet, but class differences. Economically good but the judicial system is kinda fk up. Mondstat is the best 2nd place. Still lack economical opportunity + too much freedom lol
