I had no idea this wasn’t zajef’s own clips channel 💀💀 all these days I thought he was brilliant for making a second channel for more causal content 😭 I caught him on stream saying “are you zajef daily trying to farm clips” and then I checked the about for this channel 😅😭 thank you for doing this, love the content when I can’t tune in for streams
My tip would be to focus on ER artifact stats first. Being able to do your rotations on time is a multiplier effect to the damage boosts other stats give you.
@@sanaswift3154its harder, but you can use just Artefact sets and Weapon’s on a support to battery your team members with ER. As example, Fav Weapon’s (the Bow is free in one of the first Quests) or 4x Exile, just 2x 2x 20% ER Artefacts or 2x Berserk to proc Fav.
The problem is that low rank artifacts have limited stats both in main and subs, so spending on ER may cause you to deal less damage, unless it is an unconditional buff like Mona Q, VV or TToDS, getting ER may make their characters feel weak.
New players, the second tip is really true, you can literally get Fischl/Bennett and Xingqiu from that shop, both units that change your account by a lot.
Is necessary or I say must pull yelan for double hydro hyper bloom setup party today year? Coz I only don't have yelan my account and do that team like zajef77 did.
@@Ian-vw2tu I see ok. Not I feel fomo on my account if I don't have yelan character she not big deal for the account to help clear abyss and I wait little bit archon indeed I pull yelan first before archon on my account?
@@empegirl9696 Xingqiu alone is enough for hyperbloom, ppl use double hydro cuz hyperbloom and burgeon usually dont have a good 4th slot. Dont fall for the bait, Yelan is cool and all but not necessary, one of the reasons she is good is because her kit is so similar to Xingqiu's kit but he can be even more useful with his dmg reduction, interruption resist, better hydro app and heals and ofc, decent dmg. I myself use double dendro cuz I can and my dear Lumine is the one with deepwood while my Nahida goes brrr with gilded but thats just me.
I'm gonna echo the "Do NOT underestimate Anemo MC" sentiment, she's so good when your options are so limited, in a vacuum she performs so good, with the grouping and even the damage if you level her and manage to get some EM stats Also, can easily infuse an element, it can even save you a party switch if you'd need someone else for an elemental monument or something 😅
I saw 80% of new players just can't use MC's E properly and can't understand that you need to get close to enemies even when they understood that about other characters' abilities like Keya or Lisa or whatever they got on banner. I don't understand how it happens and why people prefer to beat enemies for 5 minutes with Noelle instead of doing literally 1 E of MC 🙂🥲
@@olgabutorina4156speaking from my own experience, I wouldn’t understand any elemental reactions- I just knew pyro and electro made enemies fly away during early game. I never understood the strength of swirl or these little mechanics because they don’t really push that. Like being close to enemies, elemental absorption priority, swirling the element that’s on yourself, double swirls etc. all of these I learnt about recently because of zajef- as I started to grow more interest towards the combat mechanics. All I’d do early game was pull on banner and then see online if the character is “good” and then spam click until enemies died. Most cc would say to just level up this this that characters NOT that one. Not out about team comps or f2p options or beginner options. Which is why I think xiangling was so underestimated during early game- I literally only learned about her power around when inazuma launched and that’s because she’s actually very strong with her damage output, so someone whose numbers don’t hold up late game like anemo mc is overlooked a lot. So most casual beginner players definitely don’t understand because the game itself doesn’t push these things or try to help you learn, as hoyoverse is obsessed with making Genshin seem “casual” and not complicated at all like a kid’s game
this is so real when I started a few months ago and i was struggling through the abyss just trying to get xiangling, using the anemo MC to chuck enemies off the edge was great lol
Kinda unrelated, but I remembered how AMC carried my early abyss, and even some 12 floors before Kazuha, later I also got Venti, but I hate how Venti's burst absorption is really bad, especially for Electro, Anemo MC has a pretty good absorption and Kazuha can absorb Pyro just by being hit by sunlight
Spending on this game is really not a requirement... But just like any of our hobbies, we spend money... We travel, we go to concerts, we buy collectibles such as figurines, we experience food from different cuisines... Don't listen to anybody that will tell you traveling is much better than spending money on your game... If collecting characters is what makes you happy, go for it... But again, spending is not required for you to get strong... Eventually, after several months of playing, you can overcome the abyss with perfect stars without spending... JUST DO WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY AND BE SURE YOU KNOW THE LIMIT OF YOUR RESOURCES...
For early game, abuse dendro reactions, especially bloom and its derivatives. Players can use something like lisa/dmc/barbara/collei (all free units) to great effect
A personal tip from me is don’t stress too much abt spiral, especially at the start, and don’t let it dictate what characters u pull. It’s literally 5% of the game. Not to mention it’s extremely lazily designed, has bad rewards, and 90% of the time not very fun.
am i the only one who's tryharding spiral abyss back in 1.0 despite knowing jackshit about the meta☠️, idk tho its pretty fun, challenging the unknown back then
i've always tried doing the abyss, but i do not beat myself up for not clearing it with 36 stars. it literally took me a year and 2 months (played since release) to clear the abyss 36 stars. and its fine, i didnt miss much even though it took me that long
About the third tip: I started genshin in 2.8 (Kazuha banner, right before Sumeru) and i was taught that i should "save ressources" and not level up "bad weapons" and "bad artefacts". So basically i played from AR1 to AR45 with level 1 artefacts and lvl 40/60 weapons cause i only had bad weapons (was saving pulls for Sumeru characters). It was painful, every single ennemy took so long to beat lol. Even after AR45 i was playing on field Jean with VV cause i saw that its her BIS set, which obviously isnt for on field dps jean.
That's not the tip tho, the tip is not using fragile resin on artifact domains before AR 45, you absolutely should level up artifacts and weapons until then since you can use the artifacts as fodder anyway later and weapons are never truly useless.
@@zozo5002yeah I know that’s not zajef tip, I just wanted to share my experience about « being optimal » and « having fun ». I didn’t know you could use artefacts and weapons as fodder, so I was so focused on saving resources that my experience was not fun at all.
I noticed that from some friends introducing other friends too. Used resources are not wasted if you focus them instead of having 5 lvl 40 swords. Many people also confuse the "don't farm artifacts until ar45"; it doesn't mean to completely ignore artifact leveling!
My Advice: learn how to build characters early on. I've seen tons of people struggle in early-game due to the fact that they have no idea how to build characters, so they end up spending months farming for all the wrong things. If you farm the RIGHT things from the get-go, you'll progress so much quicker I've seen people who had c6 r5 characters but had no idea how to build them (think hp circlet on ayaka), and they spend months to years wasting their time on stuff they don't need. There's tons of free resources out there that can teach you how to build ANY character, so use them.
Energy recharge is rough early game unless you know to build it on basically all characters. Also, I was so upset when I found out I had to build TWO teams, not just one.
Idk man, Xingqiu, Xiangling, or really characters that rely on their Elemental Burst are pretty miserable in early game when you don’t have any ER and can’t charge your burst.
Xingqiu applies hydro passively with his skill's aura, its enough at the start with Dendro MC, also his skill generates a lot of particles and you can slap skyrider on him Xiangling I agree but she is still worth buying from the shop to do abyss later, but she is not a "AR1 to AR30" character for sure
Agreed 100000%. That is why Fischl is best friend to early gamers. Its also ridiculous they put Noelle as the novice banner because as good as she is, she ain't no novice-friendly😅
Ye XL is so bad early game especially when both her BiS weapon and Artifact is both region locked, you first have to play through 2 Archon quest lines, get to Inazuma, do the fishing quest, explore the entire map of Inazuma (my condolences), unlock Emblem domain, go to interactive map and mark every fishing spot then proceed to farm for 2 weeks for The Catch R5 and usable Emblem pieces, I really don't think Zajef know how hard it is to build XL when you don't have 3 years of experience and minmax everything day 1
XQ on the other hand is way easier to build early bc he's Hydro so just from applying his element he's already more useful than XL, his BiS while not being region locked is a gacha weapon but you can easily get by with Skyrider Sword, get him an ER sands and go 2p2p Atk%/ER and you're pretty much set until AR 35. The only hard part about XQ is farming Oceanid, solution: get a ElectroDmg Goblet on Razor and hold E, he can quite literally oneshot the birds witn his E
While everyone says to save your fragile resin until 45 for the artifacts, I would say spending resin on talent materials is a much higher priority. The problem with spending all your resin on artifacts is that the RNG is so bad that you could end up dumping everything into a single domain to max 1 character, leaving your remaining characters with practically nothing. Talents, leveling up, and weapons are permanent increases to damage while artifacts are likely to get replaced over and over until you eventually get useable - godly artifact stats.
With this exact reasoning, id say do the exact opposite cuz talents arent rng so you know for sure you'll get them eventually, thats why its the thing to dump fragiles in artifacts
one tip i would suggest is dont bother with crit till at least good 4 star artifacts, its so hard to get enough sub stats to even think about having good crit stats. and more focus on things like feather lvl for is main stat and things like ER, atk% and EM
The one tip I feel everyone needs to be told right at the door is "don't spend Primos on ANYTHING except the event banners." Most people start this game wondering if chests respawn. The value of a Primo is probably the single most important lesson everyone needs to be taught before they learn the hard way.
I didn't spend my fragile resin till about ar 52 cause I literally didn't know what you could do with them. I was so glad to have them. I ended up spending 40 of them to build a pretty cracked wanderer.
On the first new year after the game was released, I accidentally used up all my starglitter buying Fate mistaking stardust with starglitter. As a result, I couldn't buy Bennett from the store. I was Bennett less until Albedo banner. I think due to that I didn't develop habit of being over dependent on Xiangling-Bennett.
True though.. AMC in early game is very gud.. if i started a new account, i would collect as many Skyrider Sword as i can and give them to all of my charas..
Dont level up all characters at the same time. Heck, even doing more than 5 is already overwhelming. You dont have the resources or the resin to spend on them all, just focus on you current team and don't feel overwhelmed if you get a new character and wondering if they're better than your current team. Unless you really like this new character you pulled, it wont be better 80% of the time.
this is what my friend did. it literally took me like 10 mins to kill a single boss on his account (while getting oneshot half the time). this is a pretty good tip
I started a second account after reaching AR60 a few weeks ago. My tips would be: - Focus on EM and ER until AR55, other stats are better to invest on the end game. - Focus on reaction at the beginning, it's easy to build in early game. - Try to build if possible 2 teams for abyss: (Dendro MC + hydro + electro) (Xiangling + hydro/cryo) - Of course, you can do what you want. But PLEASE! Don't pull for constellation or weapons in the weapon banner. Not worth it in the long run... OBS: You'll get eventually all the characters that you want before AR60, so try to avoid the FOMO for mental health concerns. And don't worry to much about the abyss, it's only a part of the game and money isn't the way to get trough it, it's time and right investment of resin. You can confortably clear it in 6 months without worrying about pulling for meta character. Have fun, the firsts weeks playing are the most satisfy to play. As the geo archon himself said: "Every jorney has its final day. Don't rush."
Are people that mentally weak??? Like u said in idk what it means OBS or something about fomo mental health etc... Nowadays i see these types of comments everywhere,.. Are people really that idiots to drawn themselves into madness if they cant get character they want?? Is it really that bad with genshin ?
@@Enigma427 Tectone if I'm not wrong, spent his saving for his future house on the Staff of Homa, which resulted on his wife divorcing him. All of that for like, 30% dmg increase on Hu Tao. He is one example, but there are many people that don't have a plataform to share what happens. Not all of player are going to experience this, but the gasha and fomo entice the addiction and make it possible for one to break his life on a video game
@@beck2310 Wait is that true? I don't watch him but I do know he spent a lot just to get one staff of homa because there was no Path system for weapon banner back then
Use Barbara and TTDS to support yourself the early game. You'll really appreciate the comfort as you learn the ropes. I ignored her for bennet but had a much rougher time of it cause I just didn't have the resources to take full advantage of him early on, and suffered for it.
1. Don't play the game. If you accidentally have the game on your phone, delete it. If you can't delete the game, drop the phone immediately and run. 2. Your goal is to stare at characters' thighs, waists and armpits, not numbers on the screen. If you think differently, consider another game. 3. You will get the anime-gacha-rpg addiction, you'll have to learn to live with it. 4. Skip days, break the Sansara cycle, or you're doomed. 5. No one cares about your money, so you definitely can spend your savings on thicc anime waifu queen, why not. (Have fun)
1. Enjoy the game at your own pace. Have fun with the exploration. 2. Build and pull the characters that you like especially in the overworld. Don't stress about the abyss so early on. 3. Use the interactive map. It's so convenient for oculi and chests hunting. 4. Only spend money on the game if you see yourself playing until the end as that is money you're never getting back if you decide to quit later on. 5. Once you reach Liyue and get the Dark Iron Sword, lock it or otherwise you might end up using it as exp fodder and it'll be gone forever.
I'm assuming the lock dark iron sword advice is for people that care about collecting? It's not a useful weapon so I've never understood why people say to lock it (im relatively new so I'm honestly wondering)
@@LordNovaPrime1It's mostly for collecting yeah but it's also a pretty decent sword that you can put on a Electro team or Keqing if you happends to get her early, it would be a shame to accidentally lose when you have so little resources
@@LordNovaPrime1 as of now there's only 1 of it. Aside from collecting sake, it's an okay sword for Kuki Hyperbloom since it has an EM sub-stat. Iron Sting exists but not everyone is lucky with prototypes.
@rbtussin I think if you're playing kuki hyperbloom you're probably way past the point of needing dark iron sword. Not always obviously but I think the chances of it being a useful weapon at that point are slim to none. I get the collecting aspect though
Third tip is key. Min-maxing should only be done if it makes the game fun for you. Wasting resin and maxing Xinyan is absolutely fine. You can fix your account later when you play long enough. Even the worst account can still probably clear 90-95% of the game.
My advice: Don't do the world level quest until you are sure you have enough resources to max level for your DPS till the next level cap. Also, a healer helps you a lot when you are learning how to play this game.
that is not necessery true tbh, since it is much easier to level up your characters if you already reach the next world level, if it get too hard, just coop it, many people have severe resinless behavior and wont hesitate to help
Agreed about the healer part. Veterans will say "healers & shielders are useless when you're good at the game" but try to at least build Barbara (if no Kokomi) or Bennett in early game
I actually asked him on stream a few days ago. He answered that he doesn't care since the owner of this channel would take down any content Zajef doesn't want to see here.
My recommendation: Don't refine favonius weapons until you have at least 2 of that weapon type... it's better to have 2+ of each fav weapon than it is to have 1 high refinement fav weapon - in my experience, at least. Reference this zajeff video for more on that > ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Y2_jvnRMqOk.html
my one tip is speedrun... wait nvm, I was gonna say speedrun liyue to get condensed resin recipe, but I changed my mind, my main tip is to enjoy the journey and take as long as you want (or as fast as you like) as you travel and explore since you're generally gonna go to certain places once, so enjoy the scenery and combat, since those moments were what I enjoyed a lot when I played genshin way back in the beginning 1:08 lol I like this tip, dont start achievement hunting 6:25 BIG tip, BIG agree
@@IDKbruh420the definition of "good" is subjective. Especially when it depends on what each individual considers fun. Better advice would be to just say, "don't feel forced to spend money if you don't find it fun or if you don't think you'll be in it for the long haul."
Honestly using fragile resin is not such a big deal ..... Even 20 fragile resin is only 1200 resin which is less than what u get in a week.... So if spending those fragile resin gives you joy u should just go for it.
My best tips would be 1.DO NOT RUSH THIS GAME AT ALL......DONT. 2. don't be mad during artifacts grinding cuz it's pure gacha and the probability stats are a joke so just if/when you get a good artifact be happy 3.if you're wish addicted upgrade your characters to lvl20. 4 husbandos and waifus before damage
@@СашаЛагаевthe Archon quest line is extremely easy to follow and all side quests are optional I don't get what you mean by 'serious doubt' lol, did you completed the big yellow quest? @@СашаЛагаевit's a game ffs, no serious doubts here lmao ,and like the guy said before me it's easy to get to act3 ,don't don't go crazy when you're at your end game and got nothing to do.TAKE YOUR TIME.
What i think about the stars is that it mostly indicates how big the numbers can be, whether weapons or characters But doing bigger numbers doesn't mean it's better For the weapons it was already well explained in the video, 5* pure stats will always be better but the weapons below 5* can have better support capability But the same can also be said for characters Like a pure on-field dps 5* will always be better than a 4* But what makes the 4* better is that there are some that have better support capability and/or off-field damages.
this is not entirely true, because even if 5* stat sticks are usually better, some 4* and/or 3* can outperform them (this is especially true with The Catch). 5* characters usually indicate that they have higher raw stat than 4*, but that might not matter if the team is heavy reaction based (like hyperbloom) or the onfield unit is a driver (thundering furry, taser, salad,...etc)
One of the best tips for beginners is to remember that talents and weapons do exist and can be upgraded making a big difference, people in early game tend to think that ascending characters and adding some 3 or 4 star artifacts is all you need to improve.
8:00 I spen fregile resin early on for character materials so I could max my Yelan, Xiangling, Xingqiu, Bennett early and hit AR45 in 3 weeks and already have good enough Emblem pieces on Yelan and Xiangling to smash trough ar45 content and solo bosses with Yelan
My Tip would be Don't Wish. No character in this game is worth the time and money you'll spend trying to get them. Treat Genshin like an open world exploration game. The characters you get for free are more than enough.
I would say that on the money part, its true. The game its not hard, frustrating on the Abyss onshot damage sponges for sure, but the rest of the content can be done quite well as F2P and at least consitently get 33* Abyss. The battle pass its... fine i guess, but to date the only weapon that is worth to get from there its the Serpent Spine and maybe the Solar Pearl. If you want to use the "i want to support the game but not waste thousands" argument, the monthly thingy its more than enough to get at least 1 wish per day. Speaking of wishes, never waste primos on standard banner, just use the free ones and if you are tempted to wish there... at least do it whe you are on the pity territory. On the star glitter store, i would say that, outside of the wishes, the mora buying its worth to get but only if you are just short to ascent something and you really REALLY dont want to waste resin. Dust its second but you would probably end up buying the entire package twice just to not bother ever again farming for those goddamn gems. Also, from the starter characters that never show up in banners, Lisa and Kaeya are objectively the only ones that are worth to get to 6*, Amber... do it for the meme but not to be optimal. On characters, when in doubt, Noelle. She can easily and confortably carry your sorry ass all early game and if you were lucky and got Jean as your first standard banner, great, now you have 2 early game carries.
I started playing this game day 1(Sept.28, 2020), my first ever pull on Noelle Banner i got Jean, Sucrose, Beidou and Noelle. Jean was the first thing that popped on my screen. Jean carried me for a long time.
I always get the enemy normal drops from star dust exchange, even at the risk of not getting the wishes, at least on my alt account, because I can't be arsed to farm these annoying specters again for several hours after I already did that on my main account, just to build a character I care moderately about.
i think u overestimate Anemo. Since i started last year but im almost AR 59 with 100% map and obviously tryharding (and even threw some $$ for yae) my memory as a newbie is much fresher than yours. Anything under spiral abyss 11 is easy as hell and you can do it with any char/ anything unless ur dogshit at video games in which case u probably arent even watching youtube videos about games in the first place My 5 tips would be 1: get enough ER to spam ults. I played for over 9 months with several abyss 36 stars without having enough ER because i kept trying to min-max everything and i didn't realize how much im losing out of not being able to ult whenever possible with chars like Xianling/Sucrose etc. Everyone always says get enough ER but as a new player u dont really understand how important it is 2: xiangling/xingqui/bennett are fucking broken as hell. I play this game to play with my waifus but ive been ' forced' to play National too many times now and they are even fun to play even if they're not the coolest chars 3: skip chars that u don't truly want cus eventually ull end up with more chars than u can use 4: get noblesse set and also dont sleep on chars's signature sets. I kept using ayaka without blizzard set for too long and that was a mistake 5: buy the damn 5$ thingy, 5$ isnt that much and time is money. if you're playing this game then you're investing your time. its worth grinding 2 hours in real life instead of in game to get that stuff, its pretty high value zajef saying " dont spend money on this dogshit game" i guess it's good to convince people not to spend money aimlessly but if u can afford it it will save u a lot of time and nerves and if the game was so dogshit then why are u playing it go do smt better with ur life, but at the end of the day your time is your life and if you give your time to this game there's no difference between that and your money
@@viva862 those are 2 different points that are unrelated to each other, i just think he generally overestimates anemo As for 'starting a new account 'that doesnt reset ur mentality or understanding of the game
I vividly remember Anemo MC carrying me hard through the first phases of the game. I recently started an alt account and he's even better now that I have a clue of what I'm doing. The E is good (for that point in the game), easy to use, low cooldown. And the Q can send a bunch of enemy away when you're overwhelmed.
My tips is if u want to pull a character…just buy welkin..with welkin,every patch youll get around 80-100 pulls..so 1 patch 1 5*…so now 4.0 and 4.1…furina release 4.2…if u save now youll get c0 furina if u lose 50/50 or c1..
My advice would be, save your primos for a 5* carry unit that you enjoy. It will carry your account. As someone who struggled at ar45 with ningguang hitting for 200 basic attacks you guys have no idea how it feels to pull your first 5* Ayaka, who without artefacts, just ascended can one shot anything in the overworld... It is game changing... On the other hand, characters like Xiangling, who are broken when heavily invested into, playing Xiangling with 20% er is not something I would recommend... At this point you might as well play her as physical dps with white tassle or something... The point is that characters scale in a very different way early to late game, but Zajeff already mentioned that
Had a similar experience with Ayaka, I pulled her back in her first banner in 2021 (memories) and when I started to build her later in the summer she was easily my strongest DPS
I dont understand the "this game is shit" sentiment. Makes very little sense as far as im concerned. Ive put around 500 hours into the game so far over about a two month period. I have very few grievances with the game. And have absolutely adored my experience so far!
It's more like a meme, several online games communities have this joke about their game being the worst but playing it everyday. however, because genshin is a gacha i think is more valid (although most players are f2p).
I've been playing for nearly two years and have an alt account at AR55 that I started 2 months ago, what I would say about it is that spending money beyond welkin makes the game worse. There is no reason to stress about not getting 36* while
She's still underwhelming, cynos just bad in aggravate His bloom team is where he pops off way ahead of aggravate, and keqing isn't good in bloom teams
Aaaah, I see, so in the shop I should get the Acquaint Fates as well every month, I had 3000 of the currency to get them and was wondering if I can get both instead since I know I'm going to be going for 5 star constellations at some point so I'm going to be pulling and saving forever haha. This applies to the constellations you can get in the shop too, right? I assume you only get the wishes when you have maxed constellations of 4 stars you want and have nothing else to spend on.
I bought like 3 or 4 cons of Xiangling from the shop, that was so annoying, she wasn't in any banner I wished on and when she actually was I got only 1 or 2 cons 🙃 well, I don't do 12 Abyss so I guess it's not a big of a deal but still
When it comes to paying, it'd be very okay to just limit yourself to Battlepass and Welkin, if you both support Mihoyo and want some benefits to the game. Paying more than that just to get constellations for 5 stars is not really worth it. At all. I've seen an Ayaka C6 do overall less dmg than my own Ayaka C0, all because of artifacts.
What meta character recommendations for helps clear abyss! Is yelan nahida Raiden kazuha ayaka zhongi right and c0 without 5 star weapon of them still ok for new player character have ?
about gems being a bottleneck: tell me about it. im doing a challenge account and all thanks to heizou and his stupid boss not giving anemo gems, everyone (including him) are not able to hit a6. i dont want to waste resin on boss mats i dont need just for gems, but i also cant waste dust because i can barely keep up with shop reset as is. all i can rely on is daily comms and weekly bosses, praying i get anemo
It doesn't work like that. The artifact boxes you get from Abyss will always be the set it specifically gives you from that Abyss cycle. Also, they're starting to give artifacts from the latest added arti domain in Abyss everytime a new one drops anyways.
Just found out this channel is unofficial, don't even care as long as he's okay with it existing. With work and chores I just cant tune in all the time and his main channel doesn't upload as often. If this channel's gone I'll be immediately on the hunt for a replacement
#1 tip: Play physical Noelle until you get to Inazuma then switch to Ayaka freeze. (No. Don't. But that's what I did cus I was a noob and I still don't understand reactions. )
Some people don't enjoy exploration, why even play the game though. I get the combat is just amazing and one of the best I've seen in an open world RPG. The only one thats better is elden ring. But like, the exploration is just so freaking good
I like Zajef, and I do understand that when he says “don’t spend money on this shitty game” he does it in order to prevent people, especially newer players, to spend insane amounts of money on things they won’t really need to enjoy the game, but I think it’s also quite deceiving. If you know gacha games, you know they rely on people spending money in order for the game to thrive and to keep production going. Genshin is surely going great so no one should feel obliged to give money to hoyoverse because they don’t really need it, on the other hand, spending money is a way to support something you enjoy and to get the most out of it. If you like beer, you’re going to spend money on it. If you enjoy riding a bike, you will spend money on it; the amount of money will always be correlated with how much money you make and how much you enjoy a certain hobby or thing. If you like genshin, and you want to support the game while gaining some nice benefits, spend money on it. The welkin moon and the battle pass especially are reasonably priced and give you so much bang for your bucks. Of course you shouldn’t go overboard and spend more than you can afford, but as long as you’re talking pocket money you shouldn’t feel restrained into not spending any money on the game. That’s just bullshit and honestly I think it’s also one of the things that make player burn out so common in genshin. If you don’t spend money then you’ll value freemogems so much you are going to login even when you don’t feel like it just in order to clear events and do dailies. I’d rather waste 20 to 50 dollars instead of having to login every day and do dailies just so I can get 60 primos. My time and my enjoyment are worth way more than a couple hundred euros per year. I know that’s something extremely personal and related to your economic situation but I am really tired of hearing the “don’t spend money on the game” comment all the time. It’s so superficial and it clearly comes from a perspective of young people who value money way more than their time. Learn how to manage money, use your brain, and stop adhering to this AA mentality of all or nothing. Self control is a real skill and something you should aim to conquer in your life. Some people do have problems controlling themselves but for the majority of the population it’s not really an issue, you can waste a few bucks here and there and not get sucked into a crippling gambling addiction.
I wanna throw in my two cents here: If you have a gaming mouse(meaning a mouse with side buttons that you can reprogram the function in a software) re bind you scroll click into one of those side buttons, and whenever you're exploring a new area/region just spam the shit out of that button. You will be amazed at how much stuff you can miss, especially those mora investigation points that give 10-20k mora each
buying the paimons bargains characters doesnt seem that smart in the long run tbh, especially since these characters are pretty likely given out for free: all of the liyue 4stars for lantern rite for example. And you already get a copy of xiangling, lisa, amber, kaeya, noelle, barbra for free - but sure getting some of their cons would be nice for people who like them. in the end the only characters you will have to pull for are fischl and razor, both of which are good for certain cases, sure, but not really worth throwing away pretty much 7 wishes for which you could get a character or weapon you REALLY want instead and raise your pity for any 5stars you might want in the future. i highkey regret buying fischl when people kept telling me that she is amazing in dendro teams and easy to build and play, but i just dont like her playstyle and later i got her on one banner 10 times - almost in a row - and couldve instead maybe gotten the characters i really really wanted with those 32 starglitter (still dont have rosaria on my main acc but i love her playstyle and main her on my second account even) but then again that's only if you are planning to play for a longer time and are ok with waiting for events and rated up banners that benefit your teams
