First Alert says that it's called Alarm Latch. That means the unit has previously detected. The test button resets it. On many of their other units, such as their hardwired smoke and carbon monoxide alarms have the green LED flash the same way for Low Battery Latch, to indicate which unit needs replacement batteries.
Fun fact. On the kidde model 1276, the flashing green light after it has gone off means it's indicating an alarm memory. Just test it and it will turn off.
The flashing green light on the brk 9120b is indicating a alarm memory, meaning that unit has initiated a alarm and is letting you know it was that unit that set off all the alarms, just press the button once briefly to reset the memory
Thank you for your video!! I have the same kind of smoke detectors in my place and it only does one chirp at 10 pm then the alarm starts going off of 2 am lol saved me from waking up at 2am panicking
I've so been there! It drives me crazy every time! I don't think I've ever had one of these things start chirping in the daytime! It's always in the middle of the night lol!
I'm so sorry it's taken me so long to respond. Forgive me, I'm a real estate professional, not a RU-vidr so I'm not on here much. The average lifespan of a smoke detector is 10 years. It might be time for a new one. I had the same problem once and I just replaced the detector. Again, I'm so sorry for the late response..
