In the subway, the signal system controls train traffic. Signal Maintainers help keep our trains moving and prevent delays by keeping our signals working. Find out more about what they do.

When I worked as a Signal maintener on British Railways at Clapham Junction, there was a very high failure rate. Man in charge of dept ASE was corrupt & criminal, embezzling money for budget had to be paid of. Replacement was narcissistic told by chairman of BR he was to be fired in 6 months. Low pay, long working hours very poor quality staff. Report I put in said standards had to improve.

Trailer Crack smoker That is completely not true. The older signal system was responsible for two deadly crashes in the 1990s: one in 1991 in Union Square, and the other in 1995 on the Williamsburg Bridge Brooklyn approach. By contrast, since CBTC went fully live on the L 14th Street-Canarsie Local (or simply the Canarsie Line) in 2012, there has not been a single signal related collision. Stop with the scare tactics man.
