WHAT DOES GOD SAY ABOUT SPEAKING IN TONGUES TODAY?

So I just spoke to Mom about this, Pastor John. Coming to you with a pure heart, I don’t see how it would be possible to deny this as being God, but of course anything is possible. I’m taking my mom’s words as her testimony to me, I believe her 100%. My mom was blessed with this gift of tongues at age 16. She just told me for the first time just now (I’m 35) and told me what happened. She was baptized at 16 after giving her life to Jesus. She awake in the middle of the night the night of her baptism singing in a high-pitched voice, praising God and speaking in tongues. She was 16, she had no idea what that was or what was happening. She told me she has usually kept this to herself, she doesn’t use it amongst other (maybe on a few occasions). My mom also has discernment (this is 100%, not in the way that she knows details but let’s just say God uses her in this way, this is undeniable - I have hundreds of examples growing up w her and how she interacted with my friends over the years. But not to get off topic, I want to examine what happened to my mother. She also told me that she ALWAYS asked God (due to the complexity of tongues in the church today” “if this is not of you, PLEASE take this away” and has prayed this many times. Dr John, is it at all possible - and I say this with love - is there any prophecy that shows that there will be any sort of shift in the late 1800’s, early 1900’s. And is it possible that perhaps your church is maybe ignoring this blessing? I’m just putting it out there. PLEASE DO NOT BE OFFENDED. I am asking out of complete honestly and with a pure heart. Because I KNOW that my mom, albeit far from perfect (like us all), has God in her heart and i believe these words that she considers to be truths for her life. For any spirit to say that this is devilish, well - get thee behind me Satan, in the name of Jesus Christ! I would also like to point out that I do not speak in tongues - although I have always desired this. What is going on in charismatic churches that you describe is Tula, Arizona - I can’t speak to any of that. My church isn’t involved with anything of that nature. In fact, my church Calvary Assembly of God, has witnessed so much transformation. If you think about my church compared to your church, with all due respect, your church definitely dives deeper into the word but that is not to say that my church is definitely not grounded in the word: it is. But I will say this just from my experience watching your sermons (some from start to finish including the salutation at the end), I don’t see a call to accept Jesus as one’s personal savior. At my church this happens at almost every service - both Sunday and our Friday night prayer and healing services. And this has been where the transformation is being witnessed. Now the comparison is not to draw any type of line between our churches and say one is right and one is wrong. But I think that we can each learn from each other, perhaps. Finally, I’d like to go back to Azusa - I know almost nothing about it but people do bring it up all the time. Is it possible that God is moving in a way that perhaps may be a bit different than what we can expect? I mean, looking at the Bible, God has worked in very mysterious ways and has used people in ways that weren’t always conventional - in fact, I think one could make the case it’s usually in an unconventional way. Didn’t God, through the Bible, allow people to reach a point of having to really surrender all? When we are very comfortable in church and unchallenged, does this push for that surrender? Maybe that initial discomfort - which I felt when I started coming back to Church - was exactly normal and was what God needed me to break through.

Thanks for the excellent explanation! For over 30 years, I have struggled with this topic. I also have chosen to think that these things must have ceased long ago, but was not able to adequately explain this to others. When I first accepted Jesus as my Savior, the issue of tongues was very difficult for me as the church I went to as a young Army Infantryman openly taught that you must speak in tongues as a sign that you were saved. But, the Apostle Paul seemed to say things quite contrary to this and I never spoke in tongues. Again, thanks soooo much for this message!

It breaks my heart to hear him say this is how he believes. God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. God works miracles everyday. I've seen God work an unexplainable no denying it miracle. Me and my wife went from Alabama to Oklahoma with my mom and dad to visit my sister in OKC and 60 mi outside of OKC the car broke down. We got out and the water pump had given out. The wind was freezing cold and I had got back into car. He stayed outside under hood. Mom was in front seat praying. maybe10 minutes later a truck pulled in behind us pulling a trailer with two cars on it (that was the trailers limit). Then I seen the guy walk by. I knew him immediately. It was dads mechanic from Alabama brother Owens (he was also a pastor of a small church). He had went up north to an auction and bought those cars and on his way back had missed his turn and decided to go another 40mi out of way rather than turn around. Neither knew the other was going anywhere. He told dad that when he saw dad he told his wife and she said there is no way dad was way out there. He turned around and came back and took us to a phone to call my sister and dad rode back to Alabama and got his other vehicle and a small trailer (the kind you just run the front tires up on and pull a car with) and came back to OKC and got the car. This is about 750 mi. from where he lived in Alabama. The odds of this just happening is so small that it falls under the heading of mathematically impossible. The fruits of the spirit are as meant for us today as they were back in Jesus time.

At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes....And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

I follow you on youtube i really appreciate your messages and teaching. I would just like to tell you a story i came to the knowledge of the saving grace of Jesus in 1992 as a newbie i did 6 weeks foundation teaching. Long story short after the six weeks we had a baptisim, totally having no idea of what tongues are. So it my turn to be baptised i come out of the water saying praise God as i go to repeat the phrase a language comes out of my mouth that is not english. I tried to go back to english but i could not that went on for 15 min or more to this day i remember the very first words i spoke. So i do pray in tongues in my private prayer time. I pray in English and as i hit a glitch i pray in tongues for 30 seconds and then im back on track.

@DTBM I haven't experienced the real gift of tongues personally, but I do know God still works miracles through His children when they obey him. I also believe the true gift of tongues as Paul spoke about and in Acts that happened, can happen today if the Holy Spirit wills the person to have it, and I base that off of scripture where Paul talks about earnestly seeking the gifts. I've heard stories where people have witnessed in other languages without previously learning it and believe it can still happen. All things are possible with God. But, I will say I agree with Pastor John's stance on the misuse of tongues and someone claiming they've received direct revelation from God, though I believe sometimes He does give people prophecy in part in these days, and that it has to line up with His truth in His word and His Character. By God's grace, I've seen, and have been a part of personally, accurate prophecies spoken that have come to pass. As a missionary in West-Africa for over 2 years now, I have witnessed things that only God could do, and He did through our obedience, preaching the truth, and praying as well as laying on of hands with demonically possessed people or sick people. One woman of around 34 years old in particular, my Ghanian wife I met here by God's grace, and I were led to pray over. This woman's elderly mother called our foundation crying that her daughter was dying in the hospital, and they sent her home to die. Here, in Africa, some of the medicines aren't as good, and most of the doctors aren't as good as well, nor are they well traine. People here lose their lives a lot more than America because of these things, so they have to rely on God and prayer a lot more. So as for the sick woman, we met her and she looked horrible. She had weeks to a few months to live according to the doctors, with no hope of recovery and survival. Jesus is that hope. She was so sickly looking, very skinny, and yet her stomach was bloated. We obeyed the Lord, prayed, and sang songs of praise to the Lord over her with her family, witnessing to them as well about Jesus and how they can be saved through Him alone. Then we blessed them with a gift to help them and went on our way after, trusting God for a full healing. While we were even there, she could barely sit up to pray with us because she was so weak. I learned a few days later that she made a full recovery by the absolute power and grace of God, and I truly believe in part it happened through our obedience to Him, and I give all glory to the Most High for it all. I believe He divinely used us that day to witness to her and her family and to pray over her specifically to receive healing and Jesus. Even if most people don't believe that God doesn't do miracles through His children, His workers, doesn't mean it's true. If they don't believe it's even a miracle for someone that's in darkness to come to faith, especially in the harder to reach places of the world, ask God to give you the strength and courage to reach the hard to reach and see miracles take place in faith. He also sent me and my pastor into completely Muslim indoctrinated communities, and I saw them and witnessed to them by His strength, truth, and power, watching them be set free. There was one woman in particular that I'll never forget. This woman, I know for a fact, was demon possessed. So, the pastor I was with laid hands on her in faith with prayers. It took 2 grown men and another woman to hold her down, and she had movements like a snake, and her voice was extremely strange. The people around, that couldn't understand what was happening when it started, said she was badly asthmatic, and yet it took 3 people to hold down a smaller woman "having an asthma attack", no way. She literally almost threw all 3 off of her and was trying to atrack the pastor, and he stayed calm and laid hands on her and prayed over her while I quietly and calmly prayed as well. She was set free. If that's not part of the gifts and miracles being worked through His workers as well, then I don't know what is. It takes a miracle just to go into some of these areas where you could be killed and never found because you're with a small team and essentially no one knows where you are, and you not only make it back alive but people in demonic areas like that are set free, only God can do it, but uses His workers at times to do it through them, and He gets all the glory. I also know that without any doubt He still uses anyone that fully submits themselves and allows Him to work through them however He wills. I pray for your unbelief and doubts on this subject. I love your teachings, and God has used you many times to help me through a lot, especially being in a foreign country lately, but I definitely disagree with cessationalism. 🙏 Also, through my own personal experience of receiving healings, I had a preacher pray over me laying on of hands and my wife later with olive oil as James told us to do in the Scriptures, and that combined with faith, Jesus has healed my spinal injury that I've had for over 8 years, that I was told would never be healed by doctors, and that it was a genetic disorder where my spine would deteriorate until the day I die. I stopped believing the lie and trusted God, and in faith had these people pray over me, and the healing truly came. So, again, I pray for anyone who believes God doesn't work miracles through His faithful children. We as a nation in America, and even in other parts of the world, because of Satan and the lies of him and his demons, have come to believe too heavily in what doctors and medicine can do, and stopped relying on the One True Physician Jesus Christ, He still heals physically as well as mentally, and it can happen through others if God intends it that way. I've also received many healings of basic sicknesses and injuries, as well as some more serious ones while being in Africa, just from my wife laying hands on me and praying over me when I've asked her for her prayers. Most of those healings I was completely healed instantly. Be careful of falling for wrong teachings, and don't lose faith just because someone in a pastoral position of ministry denies what God can do, or states what God can't do. Until you've experienced it for yourself, it's hard to imagine, but miracles can and will still happen in our world through our Lord's workers if He wills it, and when we are truly His, being obedient to what He tells us to do. That doesn't mean I don't believe God doesn't use medicine, and that God doesn't use doctors in certain cases. I've still had times where both are needed and thank God for them, just as Paul told Timothy to use a little wine mixed with water for his stomach medicinally. Do you think God, who was obviously working miracles throughout the scriptures in those exact times, just gave up and said oh I'm done healing for now through my servant Paul, whom I've worked many miracles through? No, God has a time and a purpose for how and when He heals someone, or a purpose for when He doesn't. I think we just forget, especially in America, that Jesus said we would have trials and tribulations in this life, but take courage because He has overcome the world. Sometimes, those trials and tribulations are intended for our growth in Him, making us truly realize what Paul said, after 3 times of prayer over his affliction, that God's grace is sufficient for Him. His grace is sufficient for us, and if it's His will for us to be healed, we will be healed, or even see others healed. So, keep the faith and stay strong in Him, becuase He is our strength, and if the miracle is supposed to happen, it will happen, and it will happen by whatever means God chooses, whether you believe it or not. Remember, God healed the man on the mat to walk, and said it was because of his friends' faith, but I believe that man on the mat gained faith after he was miraculously healed. Please, I pray no one takes this as harsh judgement or in a wrong way, but I felt led to speak on this from personal experience of what I know, without doubt of what God can do. It needs to be explained that there are at least three types of speaking in tongues. The first is speaking in a known , earthly language as it’s given by the Holy Spirit to someone that DOES NOT speak that language . It is spoken by that person to someone who DOES speak and understand that language. These scriptures explain it: Acts 2:4-8 “They were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak with other languages, as the Spirit gave them the ability to speak. Now there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men, from every nation under the sky. When this sound was heard, the multitude came together, and were bewildered, because everyone heard them speaking in his own language. They were all amazed and marveled, saying to one another, “Behold, aren’t all these who speak Galileans? How do we hear, everyone in our own native language?”” Notice it says, “bewildered, because everyone heard them speaking in his own language.” ‭‭The second type is the prayer language that is from our spirit to God . This scripture explains it : 1 Corinthians‬ ‭14:2‬ ‭ “For he who speaks in another language speaks not to men, but to God; for no one understands; but in the Spirit he speaks mysteries.” Notice it says , “for no one understands” . The third type is for edification of the people of the church . This tongue is spoken to the people and it must be interpreted by someone into the language that they understand . These scriptures explain it: ‭‭ 1 Corinthians‬ ‭14:26-28‬ “What is it then, brothers? When you come together, each one of you has a psalm, has a teaching, has a revelation, has another language, has an interpretation. Let all things be done to build each other up. If any man speaks in another language, let it be two, or at the most three, and in turn; and let one interpret. But if there is no interpreter, let him keep silent in the assembly, and let him speak to himself, and to God.” Different types of tongues for different purposes. ‭‭

Thank you, Pastor, for clearing up this issue. I got caught up in this tongues movement back in 73 but through study and competency came out the other side. I did learn a lot of scripture as a result and I am truly blessed as the Words of the LORD are always there in my memory for future referencing.

I love his teachings on end times, but I disagree on cessationism.

You said you lived in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Did you ever meet Les Feldick? I partially attribute my being saved to his series Through The Bible. He gave me the Biblical reason to believe, Frank Turek's I don't have enough faith to be an atheist gave me the logical reason to believe and Kent Hovind's Creation series gave me the scientific reason to believe.

Too bad. Completely confused. When he preaches about end times he is great no on the topic gifts and tongues. Because he doesn't speaks in tongues so they are not for our times. Totally wrong

It seems that the "twist and shout" denominations are more interested in what they are doing than what God has done. Glory be to God and not some "religious performance".

I have never spoken in tongues and this has always been a topic of convolution for me. But I know many people who do, including my pastor. I have witnessed the use of tongues in ways I would call sometimes properly and most often times maybe improperly (considering Paul’s teaching in it). But one thing is I have noticed in several who give their lives to Christ that they receive this ability to speak in tongues. Let me be clear, these tongues are as far as I know, not any languages anywhere remote to English. Lots of sounds like “sha”, “ka” “ro” “la” “ra”. I cannot say that I have ever been noticeably edified by any of one’s prayers over me in tongues, but then again I guess I wouldn’t know what they’re saying as it’s between them and God. What does concern me is our AG Pastor and many in the church have uttered small sentences in tongues in between speaking in English, particularly if not always when they are “fired up”, when they “get preaching”. Or alternatively when they are softspokem in their words to the congregation. But again, I’ve never experienced this myself. I had often wondered if I was not saved because I didn’t speak in tongues, which many believe is a sign that the Holy Ghost has come into you. But I have since stopped worrying, and none of the pastors at my church think that this is evidence of salvation or that one has the Holy Ghost or not. But at my church people are SLAIN in the spirit on a weekly basis, at least 5 to 10 people were this past Friday. And my niece gave her life to Christ, and she herself experienced something to this degree, started slightly convulsing from what I understand. Not in a demonic way, but as if she was filled with the Holy Ghost. so that’s what I have to say, that’s what I have experienced and have seen. I still can’t take a stance on it but will continue to watch Pastor John’s videos as they have truly blessed my life. But I cannot deny the Holy Ghost, I cannot deny what I am seeing in the lives of people I know and also random strangers. People are getting saved after the week at church things are happening that are hard to explain. I’ll be honest, sometimes the loud forms of praise can at first feel offputting, but I wonder if this is just me or if this is how it happens, this is the way God works?

I appreciate how he breaks down the bible, but the Holy Spirit has not ceased to exist. Spiritual gifts and fruits are for the body today just as they were in biblical times. The Holy Spirit is the One who gives us gifts, and because He's our guaranteed inheritance, He still helps us grow in Christ. You can't put a limit on how the Holy Spirit works in believers today. That's the same as denial and doubt. If you don't believe you won't receive. That's what faith is. This theology is unbiblical. If it were true, then using this same theology you would have to apply it to all that's written in the bible. So that would mean what Christ did on the cross would not apply for today because it happened in biblical times. Since the Holy Spirit raised Christ from the dead, and according to this theology, the Holy Spirit can't perform that miracle today because it only happened when it was written to happen. You can't cease the power of the Holy Spirit for only gifts and fruits, but apply it to the resurrection. Either the Holy Spirit can do all, or He does none. Why did God allow signs and wonders? Was it not to make believers out of unbelievers? So if Paul was to use spiritual to save his dying friend, would that not be Paul using a God given power for his own will instead of God's. That is not why they were given gifts. It was only for God's will and for God's glory. Doesn't at all mean they have ceased. Til the day we walk in the presence of the Lord, we are given the presence of the Holy Spirit who possesses these gifts, and is the one who distributes these gifts at His will. Who are we to tell our creator that this is impossible. Is God bound by time, space or distance? Absolutely not! Does not 1 Corinthians 14:1 say to desire spiritual gifts? That is a speaking in present tense, not past tense. Why would Paul say to desire? What Paul says to the church in Corinth, applies to all churches today. This is so the body is edified. Paul is giving us instructions. Are we not called the body? When the Word of God says anything in scripture, it is intentional. The Bible is not a history book. It's our Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth. We read about what was, so we apply it to what is, and prepare ourselves for what is to come. We are not to read the Word, we are to hear the Word. Jesus is speaking to us. If you were to stand before Him, and He told you to desire spiritual gifts so that way His Spirit will distribute them to you according to the will of God, would you believe Him and do it? Or would you tell Jesus that it's impossible because what He is saying to you doesn't apply to us today? What is the difference between what is written and what Jesus would say if He were here physically to tell us Himself. Is Jesus not the living Word of God? You cannot treat Jesus like He's just a written history book, and tell Him that what He says is only limited to the time period in which His Word was written. We are the creation. It is not our place to tell our God how and when He moves. We are to obey. So since it is written, we are to humble ourselves and be obedient to the Word, and do ALL the Word has commanded of us. Without limitations. Put all theology aside, any non belief aside, any doubt aside, any doctrine aside, any form of pride aside, all religion aside, and follow Jesus. Believe ONLY what Christ has written. As it is written.

What about the book of Joel? In the last days.

So it doesn’t matter what God says, what matters is what you determine as a lack of information being recorded in the scriptures. Amazing. This is a new approach! If the scriptures seem to not have something mentioned, you can bank on it not existing. Lots of miracles are not recorded for a given period, then non happened. “Gifts of the spirit “ are outlined. But if in the next 30 pages other information is written, then the absence of recorded miracles voids the “gifts” as taking place. Take that method and apply it to sin and see what happens. A form of Godliness but denies the power….! 😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮

So what happens to all those who believe that they are truly speaking in tongues? We left a church because the pastor out of nowhere one day said in service to everyone if you don't speak in tongues you don't have the holy spirit in you. We had been going to this church for some time but myself nor my family speak in tongues. They would always try to get us to and tell us we need to pray for the gift of tongues. But when the pastor told us that in service one morning I knew it was time to move to another church.

Kent hovind agrees. Tongues used when there was no Bible. Now there's a Bible. Don't need tongues.

The first time tongues is mentioned is in Mark 16 : 17 and yes common sense tells you if your speaking before a crowd you speak so you can be understood. Paul warned of preachers who would come preaching a gospel the apostles I did not preach. This preacher said the gifts have ceased but first Cor. 1 : 6 -- 10 say different. Remember the apostles walked with Christ ate, slept, had seen All the miracles if anyone should have followed him to the very end it should have been them. Like so many christians today I'm going to follow Christ All the way bragging like peter and will fall away just as sure as I'm breathing, how about the 10 virgins 5 were wise and,5 were foolish Matthew 25 : 1--13

6And when this sound occurred, the multitude came together, and were confused, because everyone heard them speak in his own language. 7Then they were all amazed and marveled, saying to one another, “Look, are not all these who speak Galileans? 8“And how is it that we hear, each in our own language in which we were born? 9“Parthians and Medes and Elamites, those dwelling in Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, 10“Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya adjoining Cyrene, visitors from Rome, both Jews and proselytes, 11“Cretans and Arabs-we hear them speaking in our own tongues the wonderful works of God.” Own language ....

I started reading in Psalms and never read the Bible and the words I was reading were happening to me and around the world. Then after moving around many months I moved to where it started and it felt like I was being stabbed and the Lord opened my eyes to the spirit world

I received tongues! it's so beautiful!! When I'm overwhelmed can't think! or don't know how to pray!.. I just start speaking and singing in tongues I'm instantly comforted 😊

Isn't the original translation of the word "tongues" just mean "Language"?

Then one day he lined up four kingdoms in heaven and passed a key through each kingdom to where my name was in clouds and opened my understanding to the gospel. I was deaf, blind and dumb but the Lord opened my ears,my eyes and my understanding. This all happened over the last 8 years. He also gave me a stairway made of living waters in a dream. I love Jesus Christ and Almighty God my Father who are one more than anything. He is my best friend,my God, and my Father. My everything and God is my witness what I have said is true,I lie not. He also gave me the gift of tongues. I see God's voice always before me. I am struggling in life bad but he said he will never fail me nor forsake me.

Many people teaching have a form of Godliness but deny the power thereof. They believe people who have received gifts received them from evil. Jesus did the greatest miracles of all yet he was evil spoken of by those who called themselves men of God. Same going on today in the church people don't believe in the works of God

I so enjoy how you explain the Bible. but with what I witnessed my self I must say you are wrong about speaking in tongues, I heard this lady speaking in tongues and I heard and understood everything she was saying. now I haven't spoken in tongues and that was the only time(so far) that it has ever happened to me . Don't knock it if you ain't got it. Tongues is literally the Holy Spirit speaking through you, be very careful what you say about the Holy Spirit. If you can't speak in tongues that does not mean you are not saved but clearly many of us can speak in tongues and it's a very powerful weapon as are all the gifts and Satan will do his utmost to have you believe they are fake as they are so powerful against his Kingdom.

1 Cor 14:14 clearly says that Paul spoke in tongues more than anyone of you. He would rather not speak in tongues for a reason and not because tongues has ceased. I saw a tik tok clip where a barber told his client who happens to be pastor that there is no God because people still suffers. The pastor brought in a street dweller with long, dirty and untrimmed hair, there the pastor asks the baber if it's true that there is no such thing as a barber because there are still so many people with long and untidy hairs? Truely, whoever has, more will be given. Whoever has not, from him will be taken away, even that he has. This is the same as believe we are saved by faith, not works. Works is a byproduct of our faith. If we still need to prove that we already saved as if faith is not enough, we nullified Christ death and forfeit our inheritance.

I received the gift of tongues during private prayer 25 years ago. I was compelled to ask for it, if God wanted me to have it, and immediately my language changed. No effort of my own. I still use the gift in private prayer and worship. The gift is the same language from the when I first received. It has never been forced on my part. I used to be a cessationist.

For this reason you will not experience His Spiritual gifts in their fullness. Sad.

Why did Jesus say you shall do these things and greater. I'm not saying all charismatics are correct but Im not sure this is correct either.

I have ALWAYS had a problem with what our modern day churches refer to as "speaking in tongues". To me, speaking in tongues means speaking in an unknown language. I believe that it STILL happens, but what I hear in "churches" sounds like gibberish. Speaking in an unknown language has a cadence that even someone unfamiliar with that language can say "he's speaking French, (or Apache, or Cimerian), or etc. And modern examples of speaking in tongues don't fit my understanding of what the Bible says about it.

My mom prayed in tongues over me and it was the most beautiful language I ever heard. I know that I know that I know she couldn’t have faked that and wouldn’t have faked that. I said what I said. You can believe it ceased all you want. My mom was a Holy Spirit filled follower of Christ and that was only from the Lord.

I can cut this video down to 2 minutes. If you speak in tongues and nobody is there that understands what you are saying you are just making noise.

I believe that the Disciples weren't speaking in a different languages, but rather the crowd HEARD what they were saying in their own language. Not everyone in the crowd spoke just one language, but rather MANY languages. Today the gift of tongues is NOT given in this day and age.

I feel like because people don’t experience gifts that God gives us, they don’t believe in them. I’m sure many people didn’t believe it in Old Testament. I became a Christian in 2021 at 40 never read the Bible, grew up in the occult; for real. From a child, I’ve had dreams that come true to a T! Which the metaphysical world says that your psychic or an empath. I literally heard nothing biblical growing up. We are affiliated with the Rosicrucian order, which is an Egyptian religion that worships the God Mithra in my family calling somebody a martyr was an insult. I never knew what it meant. All I know is that I have prophetic dreams, and I always have and they’ve always come true exactly. I dreamt that Jesus came into my dream and I’m laying in hospital bed and he lifted up my foot touch the bottom of my left foot, and it was hot telling me that , I had 1 foot in hell is what I now believe but besides metaphorical dreams, I’ve had literal dreams that happened for verbatim. I have noticed that is incredibly difficult for people that haven’t come with a clean slate like I have, and I’ve been indoctrinated to the degree that they have in biblical literature and religious points of views . All I know is what I read in the Bible and we do not know the mind of God nor do I think we should ever put them in a box and to say that these gifts don’t exist anymore I think it’s quite ignorant, and also is an assumption that we know God thoughts and what his own personal workings are in each individual life. I know that I do not know everything, and I never will but I believe that there’s a difference between wisdom and intelligence. God has given me many other dreams specifically related to biblical things that I never even knew about prior to becoming a Christian . And I’ve also just known things just as much as I’ve had prophetic dreams. I have been to many different churches, many different denominations, and it seems to be cyclical many people not understanding that you cannot put God in a box in the Bible, and my opinion is metaphorical and literal and also at the same time both.

Speaking in "tongues"sounds like a snake

I do my personal unknown prayer tongue ~15ish minutes a day for over a decade or two? and I'll see this bozo on Rewards Day. He needs to not teach on things he's ignorant about. Paul boasted this unknown tongue while alone more used than anyone else and it wasn't human language I Cor. 14:2. He's confused and too proud (or stubborn) for help.
