It’s so amazing how this was exactly what I needed to hear today because as much as I love God I’ve been feeling a little envious of some blessings I’ve seen others get when it seems like they don’t really serve the Lord or work very hard. I have known that’s not right to feel that way and even told the Lord that I know that but yet I was still struggling with it. I do have enough but wanted more. Listening to this today I realize I need all my satisfaction in the Lord and he does give of himself liberally so no one can get more of him than the next person. Also I need to find complete satisfaction in him and not in success or finances. Thank you John!
wow, I have felt that way and thought these thoughts too. In fact I was really struggling with envy, jealousy and pride.. with my ego. I learned that I am absolutely not alone with that. You aren't too. Reading the Bible and Christian literature (Timothy Keller's bookThe Freedom of Self-Forgetfulness and 2 German books) and as you already mentioned praying has helped me. Truths in the Bible about my identity in Christ. I am learning. And I am praying for you my dear sister in Christ. 🥰💪

😂 our God is good.. I am in a similar position and honestly these feelings is making me find it hard to love the ppl I'm envious of. But again God kindly and graciously reminded me that no temptation that has seized us except what is common to man and even these videos and the comments are tools that God uses to minister to us.
