WHAT DOES SMITE 2 NEED AND CAN IT GET THERE? 

Any chance of a long form video going over the issues with smite 2 and your perspective on how to course to correct?

I think it’s honestly a lack of gods. A lot of fan favorite gods just aren’t in the game

The amount of times Weak3n just completely outplayed his opponents was astonishing. Xing was on fire too. So many of those Thor/Xing/Anhur plays were just so satisfying to witness!

I think they should take this from (LOL) they should take the passive trees they have to enhance the playing style your shooting for pregame!. I think over all smite 2 is fine but they should change the map to something we have never played before.

I think overall smite 2 is in a great place and has tons of potential to eventually develop into a great MOBA. Smite 1 had its issues and turned into a great game.

Idk how smite 2 is gonna be ready for open beta in July tbh. I understand this was just an alpha but they have a lot of work to do considering the deadline they set for themselves.

Smite 2 needs 2 things. Role q and the complete opposite of Smite 1s matchmaking. Smite 1s matchmaking and team balancing is absolutely atrocious

I like smite 2 but Im not comfortable with the current gods available atm so it’s not as fun for me. Yes I’m a filthy causal that play with only 20 gods effectively.

Game just feels rough right now. It's not even about the gameplay or how clunky certain melee gods are but overall it feels like bare bones and that's mainly because of the god pool. I enjoy most of the changes they made and it's completely acceptable that there's a lot of op things in an alpha but the number of gods feels super rough. Going from 100+ gods to 16 is just not gonna impress the players. It makes the game significantly more boring but also has an effect on the mentality. It really sucks for me personally to think I'll have to wait for so many years to even get close to the number of gods s1 had. It's really hard to wait all that long if they keep the current old god release schedule. Not to mention they don't seem to make significant progress on the new god as well.

smite 2 feels pretty good my biggest problem with it is that its the same match over and over again. im not gonna play it i think until we have 25 to 30 gods

Marvel Rivals was an alpha and that was fun as hell. Smite 2 alpha needs to be fun Now or the game is screwed in a month they need to delay the game.

Maybe the fact that I’m losing a lot of skins and only getting gems that pay for haft of a smite 2 skin 😭😭

Try something new with the map make it 4 lanes try something new every moba is pretty copy pasta with the map 3 lanes a jungle and a side boss each side gets pretty old no matter what game you play

I'm going to be honest. They are definitely going to drop the ball on Smite 2 and its crazy because they all actually play Smite so they should be well aware of what people want and need. The decisions they are making just arent good ones and the game will not be played over smite 1 with everything its got going for it atm. Its going to be a huge loss and they will drop it within 2 years is my bet.

Smite 2 should have started with a completely new Roster of gods instead of porting stuff from the get go allowing for an actually new and genuine experience. It would have negated so many problems. The new player experience is key to Smite 2's success. Itemization allowing for being in different lanes and less relying on immunities or dmg mitigation. A fine tuning system similar to LoL's runes allowing for small adjustments removing the need for Nerf's to be the default way of fixing things that feel oppressive. Map needed to be smaller, the jungle needed more large objectives which reward teams with interesting buffs. The evolving buffs should have been tide into main objective completion rather than just jungle farming, promoting not only farming kills but focusing on destroying towers and phoenixes as much as possible.

Problem is they are using the name smite when they clearly want something different but every other original idea flopped. Its a new game with smite dead corpse

Tbf about the alpha and beta convo. Alphas are just meant to test the game's core skeleton. With smite 2, we are just stressing it to see if the core mechanics behave correctly. Does buying an item give you the correct xyz, die during a taunt - does the character model and camera behave as normal, etc. First week play test to the second isnt suppose to chance much since all the fixes would be in the back end. The extra gods and items are just to stave off boredom. Once the game goes to beta, it will be saying that the game's core is good and now its time to expand out with content to release state while making it stable.

Damn I thought this was going to be a whole video with your thoughts on smite 2 after alpha 2 not a gameplay VOD video. I would definitely like to hear your thoughts on the game more in depth as a separate video.
