One of the best "covers" slash "tributes" of High Hopes I've ever heard. Been on my playlist for a number of years. BTW, Snake, one of my best concert experiences was Pantera and Skid Row December 29, 1991 at the Fox in Atlanta, GA. I still have a scar on my chin from that one, lol. \m/ \m/ Still blasting those Skid Row and Slave to the Grind albums

As Snake did 100% get along , what Emppu did on the Guitar, it really waters my Eyes an bit, bcs in an Band with Tuomas as Composer on Keys, Tarja/Floor(Anette) at Main Vocals and at that Time Marko on Bass, plus an Jukka celebrating Drums and till today, i think of Emppu absolute underrated. He always serves the Song, and even if he Solo something like in Romanticide you can read on His Face that He does it for the Crowd and his Bandbuddies, not to show off in any Way. In our Society the Loudest and most Cocky gets the Princess, he is the Counterpart loving his Gang and when it Harmonizes. I bought Skid Row's first album on vinyl many years ago - good stuff. Rattlesnake Shake is my fave. Good to see Snake react to Nightwish. I couldn't have imagined watching this kind of video when I first listened to Skid Row some 30+ years ago. Thanks Joel and Snake.

Joel, I didn't even know that Skid Row was coming to Australia. Sadly, they have only one gig here ... and it is in Sydney on Friday May 19. I will be in Indonesia that week, so I can't make the show. However, if there any Sydney fans watching this, get out and show them some love. And the tickets are so affordable, making them accessible for most people. Under AUD$90.00 (about USD$55-60) amazing value. Man, Snake is such an engaging and humble person. I already thought your roadie/engineer concepts were brilliant viewing, but I think this one, where a band member is with you, is really taking it to another level. god i was a kid when i got into Skid Row back in my GNR days. Thank you love your guest you know a lot of talented people so great seeing new guests. Love this song the original was slow but trippy but this versions a bit more meaty or ballsay.

Very cool for Snake to join you. Great player. You guys kick ass my friend! Loved the reaction to this amazing band. Don't take the hassle serious Joel. Some people get their panties in a bunch. A cover might be more of an imitation of a song. Nightwish sometimes does songs from some of their favorite bands as a way to give the female singer a chance for a short break and outfit change. Marko loves Sabbath and does several of their songs in his solo shows from time to time. He is also a big fan of Dio. Citing him as a major inspiration vocally.

Cool! I saw Skid Row supporting Guns n Roses at Wembley Stadium in 1991, what a day that was!! Great reaction fellas 🤟🤟

I don't recall Skid Row's covers album, but it came out in 1992, and has The Ramones, Kiss, Judas Priest, Rush, and Hendrix on it. I haven't listened to it yet, but I guarantee it's killer. For anyone who doesn't know (which is a lot more than I would have guessed based on yesterday's comments) Skid Row is a killer late 80s rock band. In a rock world full of makeup and nail polish, they were grimier than GNR, and helped carry the torch through some dark times.

Wow....watching a member of a band that I was totally obsessed with back in my teens, reacting to a band that I am obsessed with now in my mid 40's has made me smile so hard that I think I've pulled a muscle haha!! Thanks so much for this 😁 Much love all the way from New Zealand 🤘

Yep, Snake summed up Emppu - he plays exactly what is needed. And Marko's vocals are superb. As a 45+ year PF fan I can say Nightwish now own this (though I do still listen to the original). Of course this is a very old concert, 2005 and Marco has left now😢😢
