This isn't about comparing what you're able to get done with what others are able to get done, it's about being honest about whether you are being faithful with the time and abilities God has given you in this particular season, or whether you're squandering them. I think we tend to know the difference! God has been revealing laziness and idleness in some of my habits and teaching me a lot, so in today's video we're asking, "What does the Bible say about laziness?" and taking a brutally honest look at the answer. I pray this video encourages you to examine your own heart before the Lord and gives you a little discipline motivation! 🤍

I always fin it very hard, I live in different countries than both my parents, therefore, 3 different time zones, and I always want to check if everything was ok with them during my night time, so I check ONLY my parents messages and then I do my devocional and prayer time before Instagram/TikTok and all the others. That's how I manage it

You make a lot of good points. Just want to add that God also values and works in silence and stillness. This culture is so focused on productivity but if it comes at the expense of a deep relationship with God, then what is the real value ? I spend a lot of time in stillness (not on the phone ) and feel God and can hear him better. We have to make sure that we aren’t confusing pushing productivity as more valuable then deep time in His presence. And knowing our worth outside of anything we produce. We are worthy because he made us. Love your videos 💚

I definitely need to be more disciplined in my wake-up and bedtime routines, washing my face regularly, making the bed, blocks of time for work (since I wfh and can control my own schedule). Whew, Father I’m sorry…and help.😣

Laziness is also a violation of one of the seven deadly sins SLOTH. The seven deadly sins are pride, greed, wrath, envy, lust, gluttony, and sloth.

I pray for those who don’t know God’s love or for those who have lost their way. My heart breaks for all Jewish people who are suffering from these evil protests that are brewing and being allowed to manifest across this country and the world.

I didn't enjoy hearing this however it was needed on my life to hear this! Please pray for me. I need to get up and get moving and have a better view on my day than not wanting to start it. All you described as being lazy is me, I keep pushing everything away sleeping during the day instead of doing chores, and making it seem as I'm resting but nope it's laziness. I truly need to work on it and reading my bible more. I kept covering my laziness as if I do alot everyday 😭

Thank you Kaci for this. I'm currently job-seeking after finishing my degree last year, and so far I have been met with hundreds of rejections, even for internships in my field. I'm praying to the Lord to open paths, and I will work as though unto Him and help others too. I appreciate any prayer for me. Thank you. I’ve definitely struggled with laziness, especially in the difference with resting after working. I’m at part-time for the moment but struggle with fear and doubt of what more I can do to improve myself and continue in working towards a steady job. I’ve had God tell me this time and time again to really analyze myself with His help, and I do feel shame that I can’t get myself out of this loop😔but I’m not gonna give up because I know that I need to rely on His support and to help guide my heart in the right direction for His Will for me. So I pray for baby steps, and I hope to dig deep down and keep moving forward with God’s help. I’d love to hear any good advice as well from you and others on this matter, if possible. Depression will do that to anyone who might find themselves suffering " Laziness ." Some who even aren't pregnant but along with anxiety, lack of sleep ,mental illness or physical illness as well could be effected negatively. Many suffer with a lack of genuine support.❤ He knows our hearts, circumstances and Jehovah is reasonable.

Definitely! That's why I felt it was important to add a disclaimer that this video isn't addressing when circumstances outside of our control affect our capacity. The Lord truly sees and knows, and it isn't about how much we get done but simply faithfulness with what capacity He has given us 🙏🏼

I have fallen behind in diligence so much because of seasons when I was struggling with anxiety or other things coming against me to discourage me and now I have to renew myself out of all the lazy habits I've taught myself. Idleness is another word for it. Also the Bible speaks of working with our hands. I hadn’t 😢 realized it was sin. I think I was calling it relaxing. God wants us to rest after doing whatever tasks He calls us to do. Jamie

Thank you so much for posting this video. I have always taken so much joy and fulfillment from my daily chores in the home, and my value as a home maker. Lately I just havent been doing all the things Im capable of. I've laid in bed tossing, bored. I scroll too long. Basically all the things that we do as humans that shushes the holy spirit in us. I needed this reminder to show me the value of the little things we do each day, and what a difference those little things make in our daily lives. Much love!

This video has inspired me a lot to pick up myself because I tend to fall into the comfort of laziness to avoid the outside world. I am a woman with autism and the world is always overly stimulating for me and I get so mentally exhausted. But I've used this as an excuse to procrastinate and be lazy and not do the things that God wants me to do. And I know it at all times in the back of my mind but my hard time with the outside world keeps me from flowing and moving forward and working on the things that matter. This video really straightened me out. Even my posture changed as I was watching this. I have to take this very seriously. May God help me have the discipline from here on to move forward with energy and enthusiasm. I cannot allow being on the autism spectrum debilitate me this much. I know my issue is a clinical neurodivergent condition but I know in my heart that Jesus Christ has power over any condition and I should not make excuses. Thank you so much for this. All your videos really help me more than I can express. 🙏💖

The snoozing in the mornings is a bad habit of mine and has been for years. Ive actually done a snooze fast for lent several times and that got rid of the habit for a few years. The last couple of years my mental health has caused insomnia which brought back the snoozing in the mornings. I'm working on breaking the bad snoozing habit, as it actually makes the insomnia worse too...

Hi Kaci, thank you for this video! I feel like it really spoke to me :) One habit that I would like to change is taking prolonged nap times in the evening. I usually take 1.5 - 2h naps and wake up feeling bad about having wasted time when I could be doing other productive things such as cleaning my room/spending time with God. I hope to shorten my nap time to a maximum of 1h for a start!! By the way, I would like to also find out more, where in the bible does it possibly indicate that laziness is a sin? Understand that work is good but I would like to also be convicted by the Word that laziness is a sin. Open to comments/help by any viewers too! Thanks!!

God and Lord is pagan names. If you want to speak God say Aluah. Allure's name is yahuwah. Yahusha or Yshua died on a tree for a stake. Not a cross. All this is from the Dead Sea scrolls

I believe He died on a cross, but even so; what if He didn't? It doesn't matter, anyway. He died for my/our sins! That is what is important! NOT A exact Hebrew/English name! NOT the shape of the wood cross/stake/tree He died on!!! Focus on the ESSENTIALS!!! 🐑 ✝️🕊️

Actually, God and Lord are titles that we (as Christians, use for the Father or the Son) in English. I wouldn't call a title Pagan.

There's no law in the Old testament about laziness, it could be considered vile, I can't even law is not a stoning to to death sin, do you believe that Jesus created everything with God only ❓
