Sometimes, the best decision an owner can make is to do nothing at all. I can't believe I'm about to say this but: It is difficult to imagine the Panthers being in this bad of a situation if Marty Hurney was still calling the shots. Point being: David Tepper would do well to take a hands off approach and allow Dan Morgan and Dave Canales several years to repair the damage caused by Tepper's "Dark Passenger".
Yeah Canales didn't draft this QB. It's a mistaken belief that you can "develop" anyone into an NFL QB. Bryce played on a dominant stacked team in college where he was able to run around and make plays. Well EVERYONE in the NFL can run and make plays, so he no longer has that advantage on his competition. But his footwork and decisions in the pocket are terrible. Now Canales can put in Dalton and when Dalton cooks with this same offense and team that Canales did NOT build, he will be showing everyone that he's not the problem. It's Bryce.
Russell Wilson might be the perfect guy for Bryce to learn from if they decide to keep him. Being undersized himself, Russ I bet could really help him out
I can tell you it will improve my fantasy team. I need Diontae Johnson to get some catchable balls from his QB. Andy Dalton should be able to sling it.
It means Dave is in control of this team, he ripped the band-aid. Time to face the facts that Bryce is not ready to run an offense in the NFL and the past is not Dave's fault just his problem and he has addressed it with what resources he has available to him. Leaving Bryce at the helm is an injustice to the team and not productive to evaluate the roster. Bryce should never have been installed as QB day one - the model for QB development is what GB did with Love, but the Panthers did not have that luxury and here we are.
Hopefully regardless of how the rest of the season plays out Andy can finish for us. Bryce needs to sit and learn. Hopefully they sign a veteran QB next offseason to give Bryce more time to learn and for us to actually build a competent team. As well as giving Canales time to figure out what he’s doing as a HC.
I fear this franchise is doomed, Tepper strikes me as the meddling type, all of those rumors are around for a reason. There's no way he releases his grip from this team either, he'll change cities before selling it. Personally, for Bryce, I think he's had ample time to show flashes of brilliance and since in the NFL he's only showed analysis paralysis. That one play where he ran out of the pocket and was trying to direct Hubbard to run up field to me showed he's mentally not where he needs to be to be a starter.
I think Canales has a lot of potential. Young never had any NFL potential. Right pick was obviously and always stroud that year. Cam Ward next year if he keeos playing like he is. Im fine with going 0-17 this year, or at least secure 1st pick and not teade whole team away for it.
Honestly, they need to trade young to a team that’s gonna help him develop and do better as a rookie quarterback. They did nothing to help him last season. They didn’t protect him. They didn’t do nothing. They just accepted him because he was so good coming out of college and they wanted to look good, but they didn’t take the time the rookies and the vets take time to work with him and help him get fit and ready for the professional league versus college and then doing this to this young man is very wrong honestly just move to another team that’s gonna work with him help him do a better way of quarterbacking because this team is trash last season I watched the whole season and I saw how he wasn’t protected. He wasn’t being trained right they just threw him to the wolves. Young needs to go to a team that’s going to help him develop better train him better and be part of a team this team they’re offer for themselves. They don’t care they’re not working as a team and you can see that it’s all about the book it’s all about money, money money they don’t care they’re not about the team Needs to be traded to somebody. Who’s gonna work with him help him develop help him do better because what happens if this replacement quarterback don’t do good right now he’s doing an interception and he’s just starting today. It’s pathetic Instead of the coaches and the team working with this young man to do better and work as a team, they’re just gonna bench him. That’s not right that’s not right at all when this team came out they were good but then as she could see years later, they’re all about themselves. The coaches don’t care about the team. They don’t care about working with the players to do better they don’t care, honestly young needs to be traded to a team that’s gonna work with him help him develop his skills and make him a better quarterback and also have a team that’s gonna protect him and work with him because this team right here ain’t doing it for him The coaches made the wrong choice because I guarantee you if this replacement quarterback don’t stand up to what they are expecting him to do. The blame is on them because they’re not training their players the right way the team is not together working together. They need to be trained better together.
Nicole and Tapper’s they need to leave the coaches and the manager to do their job, they are terrible owners if they more involved…🫷🫷🫷backed out..Dan and coach caneles will solve this team bros…I do believe in them…👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I honestly think this was Dave's and the coaching staff decision...why I say that is bc if Bryce was Tepper's decision then I would see him saying "look I brought you here to fix Bryce so keep working with him and fix him" so I think Mr Tepper has stayed out of this one...I love Bryce but he does not look confident nor does he look like an NFL qb you can't play the position on your tippy toes and jumping to throw over linemans head that's crazy... that and Dave would have lost the locker room and you really can't see what kind of team you have with Bryce out there... I think all rookies should sit, watch, and learn from a veteran qb...bc we all know all rookies do not come in a ball out like CJ look at Caleb he hasn't looked that good either... I hope Bryce gets it figured out bc I am pulling for the kid... but we will see a different team behind Andy
Watch Tua drop back, then watch Bryce drop back, it's night and day. Tua has a wide base, throws of the back foot, gets the ball out quick. Maybe Bryce is still learning the offense, but mechanically he has been bad. If after an entire off-season you revert back to bad habits, that's a terrible sign. Hopefully sitting is a blow to his ego to over haul things, and he really grinds on perfecting his craft, but until then, you can't play the kid. He's timid, scared to make a mistake now, and there is zero spark to the offense with him at quarterback. Boy was I wrong about this kid. Back to the drawing board fellas
No one knows if Mr. Tepper has any say at all in decision. No matter what this team does you people are raising hell. No one has said Brice was not good enough. He was really good snuggling. Fans were raising hell calling for Andy to play. Coach made a bold decision, and you want to bitch and complain. It is time to see if team can actually function as NFL offense under different QB.
Honestly Bryce isn’t an accurate qb. His arm strength is average to below average. He can’t read nfl defenses. Practice is one thing, the regular season is a whole different game. Who cares if he lit it up at practice. In the regular season Bryce just couldn’t get it done.
Canales isn't on the field playing, young was. I think they should've played out the year, because according to Dan Morgan, they weren't to expectations this year. But I can also understand why at the same time. I'm actually looking forward to the game Sunday!
David Tepper made a brilliant move by drafting Bryce Young and in doing so, avoided nail polish enthusiast and generational bust, Caleb Williams. In Tepper we trust!
Panthers fans, you guys don’t need to draft a qb, there’s a future starting qb currently sitting on our bench, Kyle Trask. I could see this happening with his familiarity with Dave Canales. Definitely a move this team should make, Trask has big potential
If Andy Dalton does pretty good this rest of the season they should draft best edge rusher available in this upcoming draft and then in the second round if a QB like Jalen Milroe is available draft him and develop him for a season or two while building up the rest of the roster.
What's we paid the OL none of them are going anywhere I'm sure others will stay i pray shaq stays he is a tackle monster JC is getting his legs back under him and JC isn't trying to over do it and stay Healthy iky has been bad at times as well
23:48 Well said Julian💯. And this is what I been trying to tell other panthers fans and that try and argue me down when you really look at the offense it’s not as good there is no weapons Adam his career is almost technically done. No one scares you on this team
@@Bill_Fold4233 so they didn’t see this in training camp? Last years film? I think it should say something about them that he literally got worse under their tutelage.. but we’ll see how dalton does
@@axemillion119 well to be fair Morgan and Canales just started this year and maybe they did see enough in training camp and that’s why they pulled the plug after 2.5 games if you count that last pre season against the bills they had to see what he had to confirm Teppers worst fears that he effed up in the draft. I don’t know I’m not an expert I’m just speculating which seems to be what most experts do.
Develop a team around Andy Dalton and make it a legit team and then go after Archy. If they turn the franchise around and not keep it as a joke it’ll be more appealing for the Mannings
@@PancakeJLIS ohhhh and what did his son Marvin Harrison Jr do???? Opinions and facts are two completely different things. If you don’t know football keep your opinion lol
@@xboxhomiesplasticcupz2366 Holy shit. Harrison Jr had 3 years of college tape. Arch has one half of a single football game against UTSA and you're read to stake our whole fucking team on it.
@@PancakeJLIS that why I said if you re read. Build a team around Dalton for two years.. THEN drop in Archy. That adds up to three years of tape. And if you think he won’t be elite your delusional. Look at his family history
I see a many trades coming to be honest i feel tepper didn't make the call i feel Dave and Dan did and I'm sure Dave and Dan are about to blow up the team also i feel if big red can't cut it then it's time to move on at the QB spot now with that said I also feel like joe Milton will be a panther by the trade deadline among other moves
I agree with you, that's what they should do. You know if Milton is on Patriots practice squad? They can pluck him from there, but they would have to put him on the 53. If they can do that. Maybe Bryce has a phantom toe nail injury and has to go to IR 😂😂
