Love the conversation and critical thinking thanks. In the future some visuals would help, keeping up with zones and % through only verbal presentations maxed out my working memory.

It seems that there's no such a thing as bad publicity. I didn't know you guys up until I watched the video criticizing TR and then I started listening to your podcasts and I really like the way you present the information, how it is discussed and your approach to training as something individual and not something to pontificate about. I really like your work and I can tell that everything you do is well studied and investigated. It's very good to have the discussion and see both points of view, both versions of the story and both approaches to reading the papers and prepare training.

“If you’re only are able to get out on the road three times a week, and you’ve got four hours to train, total, per week, or something like that - you know, you’re just completely time squeezed - then yeah, I’m kind of in agreement with you. Then I’m gonna just pretty much hammer those three days a week I have and hope for the best.” -- Stephen Seiler (at 11:43 of the "Most of Your Training Should Be . . . " YT video interview with DJ.) Hmmm . . . . sounds pretty SSB-LVish. The interesting stuff starts when you have, or make room for, 5-10 hours or more for cycling training . . .

Generally I like your podcasts but you can't do a presentation like this without slides. Also, if you are going to quote from papers put them in the summary section along with a conclusion of your findings. As other people have mentioned in the comments it is a lot to process in a 50 min presentation without any material to reference visually.

For each study find the error before looking at the result.
