Hi! My application recently moved to application approved (eligible funding) but I haven't received any sms and it's pretty difficult to contact NSFAS seeing that all their lines are busy. It took a whole year for my application to be approved those this mean I can study next year with the institution I was accepted with?
Greetings, i have applied for NSFAS last year(2022) and my status was Provisionally accepted but i ended up taking a gap year(2023) due to all the universities i applied to being full. When i currently check my application status its still says I'm Provisionally accepted so does that mean can it still be use for next year(2024) or should i have to apply for a new application for next year(2024)??
I am in the same boat as well. I am not sure if I should cancel this "provisionally approved" application or it will carry through up for next year... 😢
I ended up asking around and checked on the Nsfas FAQ if there's a solution of some sort. This is what I got: " My application for NSFAS funding was approved, but I did not register during the time I was approved for NSFAS. Do I have to reapply for 2023? Yes. After your NSFAS application is approved, you have a year to register at a TVET college or university. If your NSFAS funding application for the 2020 academic year was approved and you failed to register for a full year, you need to apply again." So the question I have in mind is that does reapplying required if your funding application is only for 2020 or also for 2023? 😂Marra to be on the safe side I will just reapply when the applications open.
