Hello from Czech republic, Prague, we are happy that our cars are so world wide :) used

It’s good value, however, it shows how much Toyota, Kia and the other brands are over charging. For me the spec omissions make this a non starter. The T-Roc city life is better specced, $3K cheaper and almost as big inside.

Test drove both the T-Roc and Karoq recently, along with Honda ZR-V, Mazda CX-5 and Hyundai Tucson. Bought a Karoq style with Premium Pack. Take delivery later this week. It was simply the right size car for us with a fantastic ride, punch engine that doesn't sacrifice fuel economy and an interior which we honestly felt was the nicest looking and feeling. The T-Roc by comparison felt cheap, it really did.

Disregarding their price differences between the base model of Skoda Karoq n Kamiq , which one is better to drive in city n highway???

In NZ the Karoq is only $1k less than the Kodiaq. Is it worth it to save $1k?

I thought all VW Group cars which are automatic have a dual clutch transmission, have they not? And 1.4L petrol engine... what engine is that? The VW Group cars have 1.5L engines AFAIK. The 1.4L one is an old engine from 6-7 years ago.
@Drivecomau
@Drivecomau 5 месяцев назад
The 1.5-litre is a newer engine, but it's not the only engine used. Cars like the Mk8 Golf and Karoq delivered in Australia retain the older 1.4-litre with an eight-speed torque converter auto (which is also used in some other markets, including North America). The product mix is tailored to the requirements of the market, it's retail demand, and its regulations.

People would buy it if it was reliable, if skoda honoured warranty, and if it had any resale. Just another throw away euro

I won't touch a European car unless someone else is paying for it. The maintenance costs are too high and they depreciate quicker than anything else.

Well, my Karoq from 2019 with 1.5 Engine DSG costs me yearly just 120AUD in maintenance (mechanic $50, Oil $50-60, Filter $20) The car drives strong and never let me down by now ! This is my 5th Skoda in Australia, never had any problem with them!
@rich7447
@rich7447 5 месяцев назад
@@jeanvonbarberode2377 North American maintenance costs for European cars is a lot higher than that. An oil change on a Golf would cost you more than $120AUD/$80 USD in the US. We don't get Skoda at all.
@jeanvonbarberode2377
@jeanvonbarberode2377 5 месяцев назад
Skoda is better quality than VW recently, also many of VW in the USA are from Mexico or S Africa or made in the USA directly, which is different from Skoda, as here Skoda is made in Czech Republic, which means A+ quality product. US cars are generally crap, so I think the Chinese will produce better cars than US@@rich7447

Have you seen the 'maintenance' costs being charged now by Kia, Hyundai, Mazda and Nissan, not to mention Subaru? Believe me, Skoda servicing costs are absolutely fine by comparison, and cheaper than some of those brands now!
@rich7447

@@rickb314 We don't get Skoda. Other than the exotics, all we get from Europe is Alfa Romeo (very rare), Audi, BMW, Porsche, Mercedes and VW. I don't own any of the brands that you listed, but service on my wife's Lexus isn't that expensive.
