To be fair, the idea behond MBTI personality types is not to use it to shake off criticism. It is meant to help people identify their weak points so that they can focus on improving those areas.

You are very much conflating Personality Nature and Personality Nurture! This is very faulty thinking and misleads. Personality nature is the general building style of your personality you are born with and it is believed that by age 4 nature personality is 100% formed! MBTI with cognitive socionic functions provides the best explanation of nature personality in my opinion. Nature generally shows the processe of how you arrive at conclusions while nurture is the taught characteristics that you learn whether positive or negative throughout life. Some one can be born with naturally bad money managment but can be nutured and eventually learn money managment later in life!

I think this facts are linked with the Barnum effect: it's an effect that has to do with indentifying with a basic description, that can work for anyone: for example things like "You have a great need for other people to like and admire you. You have a tendency to be critical of yourself." (example taken from a psychologist who worked on the Barnum Effect). These are those types of descriptions that you think are very accurate for you because they tell something about you that is true, but actually work for almost anyone. And even if one fact isn't accurate, the other 10 facts that the description can make can make you approve the fact that the description is correct. It's used a lot in things like Astrology, but I didn't expected to find something like that here, which is supposed to be a scientific channel. (If it's not the case, and these are actually proven facts, I'd like to have the sources that were taken to make the video).

I think there are a few professors that do a "personality test" for their students, asking them if it's accurate, only for the professor to reveal that he gave each student the same personality answer.
I usually tend to agree and then it loses me on something I know I wouldn't describe myself. Like on where it sounded too good to be true, one said that I was very charismatic...that I love to talk about anything and that I thrive on creativity when that is just not me based on observations of myself. I think being creative is really hard, I come off super awkward but Im becoming better at it but I would say Im a workaholic (almost typed alcoholic lol). But I agree. I saw one where they basically listed the most stereotypical Gemini sign (which I am not) and had a taurus to which many (I'm assuming Taurus) said omg that is such a Taurus thing! Really anyone can fit many nice qualities. So I agree with you 100 percent!

so true. As a blood type AB, I am very sensitive and overly trusting with other people. I am not very good with people because I tend to trust the toxic people the most. I am most of the time alone. IF i am close with a person who loves to laugh, they think i am too sensitive and if I am with a conservative person, they think i am too outgoing. I am a loner. :(
Shitt that's so fucking true. I am not bragging us but to summarize, as said in the video and most of the vids here in yt, we are the hummanist. Since we have both the best and worse of a and b we tend to have a split personality which primarily because we always assess current situations we are in and try adapting to it. We have a good heart but also rational and logical and always wanted to have a smooth flow of relationships with people surrounding us but it doesn't go always as expected it to be. Either we end up beinh loyal to the person or despise them due to them did something wrong to us in return of us only showing them nothing but kindness: betrayed, shamed, belittled, exploited etc. etc. Which praimrily explains our tendency to distant ourselves and hold grudges which they can never blame us for.

I think that using blood types to analyze personality is even MORE barnum statement-y than astrology. I think that putting personalities under a certain set of labels (especially a small number of labels) will be reducing a complex thing to a small I'll fitting box. Other personality identification systems have made more allowances for complexities while with blood type it's just that. I'm blood type A and relate to every single blood type, I can't say then that I'm every single blood type because type A is it's own distinct blood type. If I got B type blood in my system it would not react well. In conclusion, I don't think it's a very effective way to measure one's personality.

AB here and I can say that it's accurate :) Also I think there's a more extended version somewhere that goes into positive and negative types too. So it's not as simple as people think. Pretty similar to horoscopes and Japan is looking to move away from this kind of self-identification actually. It's just too widespread now so a lot of people still use it.
My blood type is O but the career bit doesn't describe me at all. I'm a writer at heart. I'm also a terrible leader; I could be potentially bossy or hesitate alot. Not good qualities for a leader. I prefer being somewhere between leader and follower. The traits seem to fit, although, I'm quick to give up even though I can be ambitious. I'm rarely optimistic. I'm definitely a workaholic. I like that my blood type is known as a warrior type.

It is kinda disappointing to see such a video on your channel...correlation =\= causation...how can your personality (something connected to your psyche) be affected by something, that is connected to a certain pattern of sugars on your red blood cells? It is just as unlogical as making your personality dependend on the amount of bones you have in your body Sadly this video does not have the same quality standard as your other videos, since it shines a bad light on real science by spreading false information. I wish you would keep up the good work you did with your videos before and present real psychological facts, but in the end it is up to you.

This has been debunked a long time ago; there is zero bearing on personality from blood type-which is hardly a surprise. You must be struggling for ideas. You do realize there's no rule that says you _have_ to post every day right? I'm blood type O and it's told me a lot of things people in the real world tell me, which I've never really been able to get. (Being an introvert, I've never considered myself a leader.) What I want to know is: Is there a difference between the + blood types and - blood types personality wise?

I have a mixture of ALL the personality types but my actual blood type is O. I feel like I have some of the positives and negatives of all the blood types yet I got stuck with the O type. I find that this channel is making some really great videos, especially when it comes to better understanding people's struggles. However, the concept of there being a correlation between blood type and personality is scientifically controversial at best. The MBTI personality assessment mentioned at the beginning of the video isn't that much better either.
Since everyone is rebelling against this video, I am blood type B and I totally relate to it. But it makes sense that most people don't relate but having a type of blood doesn't really contribute with your personality.

I am blood type B and I am a brilliant gifted poet and I love life and love making people smile. I am also VERY unpredictable. Blood type b people tend to look young and live long cause we are love life regardless what happens. We also make great parents and providers. People always want to be my friend cause I make people laugh and know how to get them to just enjoy life. We don't like people who lie alot with sneaky behavior and will call them out, and teach them a lesson, cause our hunter side comes out. We are good at catching people in lies.
That was very accurate. I have type AB+ blood, with an ISFP (Adventurer) personality type. That's gotta be more than just a coincidence. Not to mention, my adoptive parents are blood type O- and they have almost the opposite personality types as me: ENFJ (Protagonist) and ENTJ (Commander).
For being a blood type o,I think you have a misconception with them.It is not our blood type threat defines us.It is the environment we grow up in and the obstacles that come our way.
Correlation does not equal causation. It is NOT physically possible for your blood type to have a noticeable effect on your personality. There is no way there sorse got a sample size of at least a few thousand people, took down there blood type and personality traits and sorted through the data. I love this channel, but the video is no sensical. It is like stereotyping. Like the karren meme.

Personality of people are determined by various factors. one of these factors is blood type. but I believe that this factor is not affect our personality as much as others, such as genetics and everyday life.
