Well you are correct. When McDonald's severed it's 50th billionth hamburger in 1984, they served it to Dick McDonald as he cooked the first. Ray was about how to sell what the McDonald brothers created. Also the brothers allowed 7 locations to open before Ray came but they only charged at one time 1,000 dollar fee. One of these locations is in Downey, Cal which is the oldest operating McDonald's in the world. Without Ray, McDonalds would have been about an 8 location chain & may not exist now.

@@princyg6025 He didn't steal anything. He bought out the brothers business. It was sold to him for a considerable amount of money, the only deception was leaving out the fee from the contract, which again the brothers knew it off yet steal continued with the sale. See interviews with the family of the McDonalds, there's no bitterness.

mik 02910 it wasn’t sold. he lied to them and they are owed hundreds of millions if not billions by now. he was sued and that’s what he didn’t pay off, not “buying” it. he broke many laws to get where he was, there was nothing clever about it. if being successful and an inspiration just includes breaking laws as long as you’re successful in the end then i’m sure i can be an inspiration too. and they trusted him enough to pay what he had to but he tricked them. he said shareholders wouldn’t agree to a new contract, but he was the only shareholder. he was finding reasons not to make it official and they wanted him to be successful and him having known them for many years, including their health problems, thought he would care that he was scamming them. but he didn’t. because he was obsessed with winning and not giving a shit if he drove others into the ground

who cares if they did not have more branches.. the real idea of fast food was from mcdonald brothers and without that idea ray fcking croc would be salesman all his life.. if he was a real entrepreneur he would have come up with his own idea and make it big.. here he manipulated the idea and also did not pay them royalty..

Rac Kroc didn't make McDonalds a success, if you knew the factual history it was others who got the chain where it was, Ray was going down in flames until he was told what to do. Rays brilliances of the Hula Burger, powder "milk shakes" really showed his lack of knowledge . If Ray ran the show McDonalds would have been a foot note in fast food. Under his influence the took a 30 second service time to several minutes.
@realazduffman

He didn't really steal anything but Burger king...they walked into the mcdonalds brothers kitchen and left with a stolen concept. Steve jobs he went into xerox and stole the computer mouse software. There isn't much innovation if everyone works off their own ideas...But I will say that Wendys Dave Thomas was a class act in fact without him we wouldn't have KFC most likely.

He didn't "walk into McDonald's" to sell them anything. He went there to see why he had sold them something, that is 8 multi-mixers. And he walked out with less than he "walked in with." Only after he had managed to overcome the brothers incompetence, did he have anything.
