It involves some getting used to plus the situation he was in. I do stay in the bush eating things not known to normal people except hunters and military men when I was into fishing. The vegetation is rich enough to survive for months. Going to people's home did not help him at all.
The report that he is dangerous doesn't impress me at all. A dangerous man with a riffle will do more damage and most likely end it. I think he is a naive guy making silly mistakes. He really wants to live. A dangerous man is suicidal and can end it any time especially in this current situation. I feel for him.
This guy will be in solitary confinement for years, imprisoned for life, and with his sister forever barred from re-entering the country, he'll truly be isolated into his old age. There's no worse punishment than that.
he's going to have more than he deserves. too bad he wasn't taken out of those woods in a bag. the victims have a bunch of idiots in our administration to thank for the plethora of evildoers coming across our borders.
Look up Mexican Mafia inmate escaping in Texas earlier this year, all white jumpsuit over powered a bus,ran trough a swamp got a truck ina town of 200 people only to end up in San Antonio with an AR cruising around like four to six months later ,inside job check that out
Have you ever been through the jungles? Can you imagine the trees, the heavy brush the grass etc. please let’s not judge. Our law enforcement deserves a "GOLD METAL.”
Yes, thank God, they captured him. However, I hope he was not involved in any other unsolved crimes that they don't know of yet, but I am sure they will definitely investigate to see if he has.
He is wanted in his home country Brazil for murder. He’s made his way here to the US and murdered his girlfriend. Sick bast*rd, 2 murders and we have an open boarder. 🤬
When the feds want you, they'll get you. If it was 10 years from now while riding with a friend who got pulled over, or whatever, they are going to get you.
I think that picture with all of them surrounding Cavalcante in the middle. It makes Cavalcante look like a hero. Almost like he’s a rockstar, and everyone wants to get a picture with him.
I don't agree. He looked defeated with dead eyes. He looked more like a trophy caught by the LE man hunters. They took a photo as proof that LE caught him and of the group that caught him. He is a miserable murderous savage, he is not a hero. He just hid in the thick undergrowth when LE got too close. It was too dangerous for LE to start crawling in the undergrowth because DC had a weapon. Which we hear he was prepared to use use in a car jacking. LE used extreme caution. Safety first. Very proud of everyone involved in catching this heinous murderer. Yoda the K-9 's life was also in danger if DC would have had a chance to shoot him. Yoda is a hero. This whole situation was very dangerous. Very good knews that nobody was hurt and this criminal was caught. Society would be at risk if he was free.
@@janinedevilliers510 of course Cavalcante is a scumbag. No one’s disagreeing with you. BTW you keep writing “LE”? Do you mean law-enforcement? if you do why don’t you first explain it the first time. And actually, I think they are “US marshals” so you should’ve put “UM” But anyway, there’s like 30 US marshals behind the guy. with all the worlds most advanced equipment. Of course, they’re going to catch him. The fact it took them two weeks to catch them is not something to be bragging about. But to pose with him like that like he’s some sort of big lion in the jungle (or moby-dick Blue whale) they just caught. When meanwhile, he’s a 5 foot 0” guy. They should of caught a lot earlier. And the fact he looks defeated, doesn’t make it look any less or any more heroic. Of course, he’s gonna look defeated. He was surviving for 14 days remote woods bMost humans wouldn’t be able to survive for two days. Overall, it’s pretty impressive. He was able to last 14 days. Cavalcante is going to jail for the rest of his life so his life is over. so he has no life but I’m sure to him, that picture makes him look like or as big a catch as a lion or a whale.
@@juliemerritt5144 no I’m sure I’m right yeah glad they found him shame he committed his crime for someone who has excellent survival A lot people can’t live a day in the woods unarmed no food shelter you scared of that skinny kid blame the prison he got out of for not doing their job they are the reason he was able to do what he did lol 😂 don’t tell me about morals that don’t apply to the mistakes that state made stay safe lock your doors and be scared because you pry ran into people that have done far worse then this kid
What was impressive? He barely went anywhere. And it was 2 weeks. In towns. Homeless people surviving northeast winters is way more impressive than this bullshit.
As a Brazilian Américan citizen I would say , he got living off the grid skills and I have the feeling they got him only because he wasn’t prepared enough , he was tired and weak after 14 days . I hope he makes peace with our creator🙏
He was caught because he tried to break into a house and the alarm went off. Then when cops got there they got an infra red. Right before it started raining. Did you even lisyen to what happened.
I’m just trying not to be hateful on my comments y’all , there’s lots of hate in this world already , he will spend the rest of his days on this earth reflecting on his atrocities
if you are criminal and was on the run for 3 or so weeks despite the whole state of Pen on you, why would you wanna give away your tactics to police? that's stpd imo.
It's called Brazilian Tarzan lol without helicopters he could have survived god knows how long without capture. I wonder if they have bricked the escape route at Chester county lol. They should be sued.
@@BeegirlsHoneyHouseyeah they were having trouble with the heat signature on some days though because it was so hot. It couldn't differentiate between the ground temperature and body temp. Now if he was up in the Minnesota or Alaska wilderness they would have gotten him off that heat signature ASAP
They did have dogs, but it was heavy vegetation and about 100 degrees in the shade during that 1st week. The dogs simply couldn't handle that kind of heat. They couldn't use the heat sensing cameras because of the high heat.
I am Brazilian and descended from families with the surname Cavalcanti and I come and apologize for this shame and monster, from my compatriot in the USA, to the American people who had 14 days of fear. I am sorry and congratulations to the police for their duty done and persistence. There are bad or good people all over the world, compatriots and foreigners; black and white, rich and poor. Sorry for the bad English too.
Tá aí um vira lata. Como se não houvessem monstros nos EUA . Aliás MUITO pior que esse cara . Tenho certeza que esse alarde TODO , Atem muito a ver com o fato dele ser brasileiro, latino .
Good job! Finding and catching him! You caught him before he did any harm to anyone else. The public will never understand what law enforcement goes through to catch these fugitives. This was a lot more interesting interview than I thought it would be. Supervisory Deputy US Marshal, Robert Clark did a great job providing details.
Some Americans are so hurt that it took this long to catch a fugitive so all they can do is pretend they are happy and proud of the Police when it was a dog that caught him.😂
Thank you Deputy Clark! I knew that once the U.S. Marshalls were involved that the suspect would be caught. Thank you to all LE and volunteers. A lot of resources and very hard work was put into this capture. 🙏🖤💙
Chilling to hear of the carjack plan. That would all be going down today if they hadn't caught him. Very high chance of someone getting hurt or killed. He had nothing to lose, no matter how many more crimes he committed.
To the Canada border he wouldn’t of made it across especially if he thought he was coming thru Michigan wit that bs 😂 these cops would’ve been on his ass 😭😭😭
It's so nice to see all the cops, everywhere, all show up on the scene, for a guy that used to be in their prison but it was originally a SERIES of mistakes they made there that freed him and made him the community risk he was a first. Law enforcement continued to drop the ball and allow Cavalcante to move outside multiple perimeters and even obtain a firearm at one point. It's so nice to see all the cops and all the resources we have and pay for as tax payers, show up, come out, come together, unite, run around, ride horses, burn gasoline driving around, shift resources, and make it all happen. You did it guys. You fixed that HUGE mistake you made from the get go. Wowah.
Thank you to all the law enforcement people and K9’s who worked tirelessly over the past 2 weeks! And hopefully the prison will gather facts about the escape to learn how to prevent future escapes.
You mean a group of loser cops who all got paid $100 and hour overtime and were eager to hurt this suspect they were chasing, by putting the dogs on him? You support a criminal gang of thugs that torture and murder citizens for fun and profit. Pathetic.
Why would you not ask more about the escape?! Someone else escaped recently doing the same thing!! Ineptitude strikes again. He should have NEVER gotten out to begin with. Thank goodness no one was hurt.
Credit where credit is due, two weeks isn’t exactly a world record but the very fact he managed to elude law enforcement with dogs for that long is pretty neat. Covering his tracks and taking what was available to him and surviving off the land. Now stealing a bag that had a razor in it & stealing a rifle without being seriously wounded/killed by that homeowner who tried stopping him is probably the purest form of rng to date.
Even though I am in Oz I have lost so much sleep watching. To hear that dispatch lady say "Yeeeessss" summed it up perfectly. Then to hear Yoda took him down also made my day, border force are some tough peoples. Glad he spoke up about things and I am sure we will see a movie. I cang remember where I watched a video of a lady that was on the run for 30 odd years had a family etc... but when they came knocking she admitted and is now serving her sentence.
@@SamaNuttzI know exactly what movie your talking about. I watched the documentary recently. They interviewed her in prison and she still maintains her innocence.
His mother and sister are deported back to Brazil where they belong, they defended this pos knowing he murdered 2 people, his girlfriend and he is wanted back home for murdering a man there.🤨
To be shot by cops, 1.) resist arrest after taser fails. 2.) Have a gun and not dropping it 3.) Charging cops with a knife or just having a knife (the most common reason for getting shot) Reference source: PoliceActivity Channel. I have watched every bodycam videos on that channel and the most common reason for criminals getting shot is having a knife.
There is a lot more to the backpack story than they are letting on. He just happens to find a backpack with a shaving razor in it and a hoodie Plus who knows what else? His sister or a friend helped him.
Yes he may have skills but he also had the weather on his side. If it was winter it would’ve been harder for him. The skills of LE was excellent! Thank you Law Enforcement!
We had quite a few periods of heavy rains and t-storms here when he was on the loose. I get what you're saying about the cold temps but I'm sure he wasn't enjoying the rains.
I think it's clear he received temporary aid from someone, and the marshal might be trying to avoid alerting anyone who gave him food or water or...a razor.
did he have a bounty on his head? if not, then i would believe that someone could have helped him, otherwise, no one is gonna pass out on a good bounty. Specially if this guy's family aint rich. which i don;t know if his fam is rich, havent put any effort in googling his family.
Yeaahhh! Yes, big shout out! Sounds like Yoda not only bit his head and scalp but may have even "Lorena Bobbit" him on his lower extremities as well, 😂
Hey so serious thank you to the menu captured this murderer. The people who live in that area I was south eastern Pennsylvania. I can breathe a sigh of relief.
You can say that again! I'm less than 10 miles from where he stole the rifle. We were getting VERY nervous here. Especially because a rumor was going around he has family in the town i live in. The night before his capture I was walking my dog...8 police cars came into my development and parked across the street from my house. One police car parked my car in. The K9 dog was brought out of a police car as well. None of the police cars had lights or sirens on. None were speeding. But it was still VERY odd for 8 to show up. They only stayed 20-30 minutes. I still have no clue why they were here but boy was I ever nervous when they arrived.
I don’t think the group picture was necessary and was extremely unprofessional. The press conference from the Governor was a joke as well. Just a PR stunt. At the end of the day, the prison service messed up, and it took law enforcement, with helicopters, two weeks to capture him. The search cost millions of dollars of taxpayers money. The Sleazy Governor didn’t mention that. I hope they make a movie about his escape and evasion. To live of the land for two weeks is an amazing achievement.
Is the cost of the search really a complaint? Should the governor have called off the search and let him go to save some money? This honestly just seems like some needless nitpicking at this point.
Yes i think they did a tremendous job in capturing him and that the public were very naive about how hard it actually was and i loved when he said how law officers almost stepped on him and to hear that Yoda was the dog that actually got him to submit is amazing. How proud Yodas handler must be as Yoda now has hero status 😂
I think he had adequate help from the outside - to serendipitously obtain a backpack and a rifle. It's like accidentally picking up a winning Lotto ticket in the parking lot.
I’m glad he got caught and didn’t kill anyone like the dude that escaped a few months ago here in Texas. Good job PA law enforcement; can’t say too much about Texas law enforcement though.
@@StarGirl-oz5gh That's my point. law enforcement, the prison officer, failed here and it ended up costing us tax payers millions of dollars and hundreds of men & women which could have been used to fund other productive things.
He had that rifle it's a miracle he didn't kill anyone,he might have eventually, great job law enforcement, give them praise cause they get enough criticism
He said if I’m going down i have to do something bigger than murder and now he has made history he will be talked about for many years even an updated fugitive documentary about him I bet those guys in jail gon respect him now
@@agentmartagentmart9122 only shows you are foolish.. he did do the crime and crime happens daily all over the world,, so saying if he didn't do the crime is mostly foolish. you can live in a world of denial but crime is a reality--- had he not escaped this would not have happened.. the other prisoners did not try to escape.. he did.... you see where this is going? of course not.. you are not too wise.. peace
That's exactly what they should've done from day one, armor up and get into the jungle terrain. There was no way he was gonna step out into broad daylight onto open roads. 🌄🙋
Only reason Cavalcante didn't shoot Yoda is he knew it was over and if he shot Yoda, his handler would beat the crap out of him or see that he got a cell mate named Ben Dover.
@@rainacherienne1010 I think you must be right. Helicopters, heat detecting planes, armies of heavily armed SWAT police with every news service covering him and he's fawning over the police K9 trying to bite his head off.
It would have been an absolute tragedy for America if Danelo Cavalcante had been killed. He's not a monster like America's own Bryan Kohberger who sliced and diced 4 young people for no good reason last November. During the 14 days of freedom, Cavalcante demonstrated virtually no violence which begs the question Why did it take 15 soldiers, a tank, a dog and all the resources of law enforcement to capture him?
After 2 weeks of eating watermelon and drinking brackish water, this dude realised he is better off back inside. Warm, cozy, nutritious meals, fully equipped gym … Ok, just the shower is a bit scary but otherwise life is good.
fool didnt even ask if the gun had ammo in it... thats a very important detail, otherwise its just a metal/wood clubbing weapon or intimidation tool if he would have been able to use it in a carjacking
Someone gave him the backpack in the early on photos at Longwood Gardens. Someone gave him a green hoodie that fit! Someone gave him access to hot water and shaving cream. He had help!!!! He did not survive on watermelon! Stream water would likely make him sick! He had help!
