God (I know, ironic, huh) spoke the universe into being, so literally; His voice is the Energy of the universe, His breath is the Matter. It also says that all things are bound to His Will, and, He holds the very atoms together. If God is "everywhere, all at once, all the time", the most logical way this could be true, is for virtually everything, to be God Himself. Many ancient religions even claim that we are but the dream of God.

What all believers of every stripe get wrong about God is that he exists.

OHHH! Emergent Properties when talking about the drop in the ocean. Try applying the drop in the ocean to this: An atom of water (H2O) does not contain the properties of wetness. However, place enough atoms of H2O together and you have a bucket of water which contains the property of wetness. Dig deeper and the drop in the ocean analogy falls apart.

This is similar realization as in Hindu philosophy- God does not exist, but the God _is_ existence itself! In Hinduism this concept is explained similarly- fundamental tenet of Vedanta in the Upanishads "Sarvam khalu idam Brahma." All this, in truth, is the Brahman. From which follows everyone and everything is just a part of the Brahma (or God, or whatever name one wants to use).

Struggled with God for so long,into different ways of christianity but can’t really stand being around people so delighted by the idea that most people will burn in hell. Not them of course,but others. So many have made ”the bible says” to a mantra about every single issue. Put their given brains on stand by. The bible has become their God. So God does what God does and I don’t bother so much anymore. Hell is however just a foolish idea whatever King James bible says.

There was no need to bring up October 7, IMHO. And I found it sort of inconsistent to suggest that יהוה basically is existence (of everything) in itself, to then speak of the "existence of God", again, as that of some divine entity, with some kind of will of its own, etc.

The only thing people get wrong about "god" is the existence of such a concept, be it the christian myth or any other of the "gods" prayed to throughout the history of humans

Psalm 110:1 is also clearly Messianic in nature, where David CLEARLY referred to the coming Messiah as HIS LORD. The exaltation is clearly too high for any mere human being. And Jesus, to whom the prophecy spoke, quoted this text and challenged the blind Pharisees with the question: "If David called [the Messiah], Lord, how then can [the Messiah] be his Son?" The answer is that the Messiah would be more than just a man, He would be the divine Son of the Father, the only begotten of the Father who came into the world as the "Word made flesh". And it is also interesting that the Messiah, according to Psalm 110 verse 4, would hold a priestly function according to the "order of Melchizedek", not the Levitical Priesthood, for this priesthood would be founded on His shed blood and unending life, giving all who believe a perpetual and efficacious representation before God the Father.

To keep a peoples together without a material Kingdom and King and the law that goes with that, one must have a higher law and a king and kingdom beyond the reach of your oppressors in the material world. Therefore, the ancient laws in the Hebrew Bible were critical in the early days to keep those peoples together, even though they were spread across the known world at that time.

So interesting! Christianity teaches, or has taught in the past, that the Hebrew God is a vengeful God. To those Christians I have asked … Then why did God the Father forsake Jesus on the cross and Hashem stayed Abraham’s hand ? Chagall has a painting of the Akida and in the top corner is Jesus under the weight of his cross. Clearly the Hebrew God was more merciful. In all respect to the Jewish and all other religions, I feel the need to say a few words regarding God the Father of all souls. The Supreme Soul, The Ocean of Knowledge, incorporeal God Father Shiva incarnates into the body of Brahma in Bharat (India) at the end of the World Drama Cycle. Sounds a little like the idea that the universe itself is God. There's a word for that, and I can't think of it. It's not panpsychism, the idea that the universe is conscious. Similar, but this is different. Well, I don't have the answers, but I do recall hearing a debate once on the topic of the universe being God, and there was a definite case made against it. But who knows? Just don't do unto others that which you would not want them to do to you.

The very phrase that allowed an ancient peoples crushed between two superpowers to maintain a kingdom and king outside this material world and remain together as a peoplehood. OK, but what about the verses of reward and punishment in the Torah? While reading the King James version of Bible - any Christian Bible in general - has produced all types of perceptions about God - with some being really off the tangent, I don’t think taking the new age approach of God being love and light is solution. The points on God being like a loving - tough love - parent and reframing it to being mindful of the consequences of our actions or behaviors is helpful.

Come to a Catholic Church on Holy Saturday (Saturday night day before Easter Sunday) and check out the candles.

All of this intellectual energy-the rabbi’s god could simply show up right there and settle the question! How hard is that? For this atheist, the lack of such evidence is evidence…of absence. And don’t tell me that’s a fallacy: if his god does not exist, what else would you expect-but silence?

Appreciate R David Aaron a lot but much prefer the phenomenologically more organic idea that there was tzimtzum, this world is not God. It is a world that can draw God to it and has God as optional but remains free as it is up to us which is why it looks the way it looks. Freedom to create and live as individuals is the main theme of this world. And in the end, something is gained that could not have been in any other way. We are not here to be linked in endless spiritual union with God. We are here to live lives of mundanity and within that rise and become something else as evolved individuals. The soul and its individuality continue after death as many near death experiences attest to. This idea contradicts some of R Aaron's teachings which are very eastern, Ram Das-like and suggest a version of pantheism.

Your version of the hebrew alfabet, is confusing, but I like to listn this. It remind me og the first biblical punishment of Cain killing Abel. He was banned from his own people, and was afraid, and was given a mark, som none could kill HIM. And I think the mark of Cin has bin used unfairly by jews and gentils - and it works ! Man does not define God. So people can say God told them whatever. 2 of the commandments address this. 1-Taking the name of The Lord in vain. 2 - Having other gods before Me. Just because God created you doesn’t mean you’re His child. (The philistines were not his children.) Unconditional love is tricky . The consummation of love always has conditions . (“You shall love The Lord…”) Love is centered in the will. “Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.” Oral tradition is a commandment.. “Tie them around your neck Teach them to your children…” But it’s Gods word that must be passed down. Not man’s. “Fear of The Lord is the beginning of wisdom.” Fear= Reverence. Respect for His power. Like a son who respects his loving father but doesn’t want to get on his bad side. Because God is not Barney! He’s not a big gooey love puff that dispenses love bubbles all over the place. Also, love means one angel killing 85k Philistines in one day. Drowning the soldiers of pharaoh. Sinking a rock into the head of Goliath. A loving God did all this so… there’s that. God defines His relationship with man not the other way around.

U.S. goy who stumbled upon this, I thank you greatly for your work in explaining YHWH/HaShem as the GOOD Gd of existence (and beyond) and love. Gd had revealed much of this previously to me through visions/experiences and random teachers DESPITE my lack of knowledge of the original Hebrew/"Jewishness", and the Biblical texts (even in English) do in fact point to this IF you come to them with the correct initial understanding. I wish nothing more that the Jewish people fulfill their role as lights to the world, rather than hiding from the terrors that constantly threaten them and try to extinguish the light, or more perversely, promoting darkness (those "pretending" to be Jews).

Rabi is right in what he says. But he is too philosophical his talking. God does not punish. There is also evil on earth, and also within people. The good within us is always battling the bad. Its up to us humans to choose which path to take. We are All "Gods Chosen", because we are All "his Children".. just because we have different Names for him, and different Totems, stories, bibles, practices of worship. We all believe in something or someone which is greater than ourselves.. our creator (so to speak). In essence, we are equal in Gods eyes. It is Man which created this thing of "differences" between man-kind. Practices of religions and beliefs, and this category of "Who is Favored", and who is Not. It is a man- made law or rule or whatever... In every country and in every religion. Also, as this childish question of "Why God Allowed so much hatred and torment on earth, one man to the other".. or, the question of, "If God is so Powerful & Mighty, Why does he do this evil To Us.. or Allow it to Happen"? Its in 2 words, (which I got enlightened by way no-one would believe.. by a movie). 2 Words... "Free Will"! He gave us humans a bit more (scientifically-wise) than an ape. And bibically-wise also. It is a "Free Will", to live and to choose which path we take. its not about who or which is the 'chosen' ones or a certain religion or a certain people. Now Jews have been trying to KEEP that law but they can't because it is a COVENANT they have to keep and not laws they have to LEARN. If they do not keep the covenant, they can learn the law of Moses till Moses is resurrected and still they won't be able to keep them or build their last temple, no matter how many RED HEIFERS they kill.
