Personally, Grant Gustin is the "FLASH" for my generation. Growing up watching the series, yes it took a hit for the worst, but what didn't was his acting and portrayal of Barry Allen. He poured his heart and soul into the character which is something I just never get from Ezra Miller. I think James Gunn should've still gone with the Flashpoint concept but instead had Grant Gustin as the second Flash in the movie trying to fix the timeline from his experience of knowing what could happen. Especially because of how he's messed with it plenty of times. Then by the end of the movie either go with option A which is to end Grant Gustin with a big bang and have his character sacrifice himself for the greater good on the Silver screen. Or B, have Ezra die somehow and have Grant Gustin as the new official face of the Flash for the DCEU, or the DCU as James would put it. But I just don't personally respect the heads of Warner Brothers for making so many stupid decisions these past few years. From getting rid of Henry Cavill, to ruining Justice League, and finally just outright not even putting Grant as the cameo in the new movie but instead Zoom. That right there was just DISRESPECTFUL. The point in movies is to draw in people who are interested. NO ONE IS INTERESTED IN EZRA MILLER. On top of that, they didn't even make the movie about the Flash. It was just a movie meant to fit the agenda for James and the heads of Warner Bros. I've said it once and I've said it again, MAKE GRANT GUSTIN THE FLASH FOR THE DCEU. He not only has his entire backstory ready for audiences to connect with him, but also there is no need to really make a origin story. Just right out the bat make an amazing stand alone movie that one could only get from the comics. Instead there was an entire half ass (not even half ass, just terrible TERRIBLE MOVIE) film meant as an origin story that wasted time, money, and effort. If Grant was the Flash from the beginning or even now, there wouldn't need to be filler movies. On top of that they can start bringing in A class characters like the Arrow. NO ONE CAN TELL ME PEOPLE DON'T WANT STEPHEN AMELL IN THE DCU. Finally Arrow face to face with Batman or other characters fans want. We need to get rid of these corport heads and get ones that actually tend to what fans want. DEDICATED FANS AT THAT!! If it wasn't for us dedicated fans going to the movies for when Marvel Infinity Saga first began, the massive rise of Superhero movies wouldn't be where they are today. And it shows that now they are getting too big for themselves because they want quantity movies over quality movies thinking we the fans will just go because we will. I HAVE NOT BEEN TO A SINGLE OPENING NIGHT MARVEL OR DC MOVIE IN YEARS. And it shows why. I used to wait in antcipation for the movies, now I just *Shrugg* "ohh that's out already? Ohh well, I'll just wait for it to be on Disney+ or HBO". Make me want to go again, because Oppenheimer seems much better than the Marvels ever will.

Grant Gustin's particular talent is when he's actually not in the suit. The guy was excellent with his range. Some guys can't do emotional scenes very well, and one of Grant's best scenes is when he went back in time to comfort his mom as she died. Grant pulls on the heartstrings and definitely gives the character a lot of heart. He has a way of conveying his pain without having to use words, and the times he cries are very convincing. Just about every scene with him and the actress that plays his mother (name escapes me at the moment) is a home run. He's good as The Flash as well, but he's definitely the definitive Barry Allen for me, similarly to how Andrew Garfield is the definitive Spider-Man and Tobey Maguire is the definitive Peter Parker. Grant can very much be The Flash, and I'm even an advocate of him to play Barry in any medium. I'd be totally down for him to play an older version of Barry in the new DCU under James Gunn. I'd consider Grant as much of a pick for Barry as Matt Ryan is as John Constantine. Grant was born to play that role. And no one can say otherwise.

Grant's version of Flash is S-tier, just like Tobey Maguire's version of Spider-Man. But respect to the other actors of the other versions of their respective hero because they're not bad, in hindsight.

I think Grand Gustin is better. Sure, the series as a whole might have feel off and is sometimes bad but that's nature of TV shows for you. I don't know if this is an original idea or not but TV series seem to be controlled by the 5 Season Rule if they make it pass 5. 1 -5 would be usually great to somewhat respected. After that point, it goes down the drain. The reason varies but it's usually the actors (main cast) getting fatigued, writers becoming lazy, budget cutback, actors not liking each other, tough crowd etc.

In my book Grant is the one and only Flash. I never watched Arrowverse growing up because I watched as a parent... so I dony have a childhood bias here... I thought Ezra was totally mis-cast as the Flash. I think Grant was more believable as The Flash, its about the little mannerisms and improv moments that make an actor shine when they are in the role of a lifetime. Ezra just came off as an unlovable awkward kid to me, while Grant had an essential core of maturity and deliberation to his portrayal. The tv show left a little to be desired a lot of the time, but I never thought Grant's acting was part of the problem.
