Hi Kathy, thanks for sharing all of that..what a rough ride you have had. You are so right…none of us must feel guilty about looking after ourselves, we are no use to anyone else if we don’t do that!

Oh my goodness Kathy, you have had it rough indeed. All that trauma is bound to have an effect on your health. You are quite right in saying that you have to look after your own health to care for Mark after his op. Putting ourselves first is something we all find hard to do, but it makes so much sense. The stronger we get the better we can cope. Thank you for the tip about writing it all down, I've got so much baggage I need to get rid of, so I'll give it a go too. All the best for a healthy future. x

Wow, what an incredibly open vlog. You are brave and generous to share this and should be an eye opener to many. So stress seems to be a huge factor with autoimmune disorders. Yes writing is a huge help and thank you for your knowledge. ❤👍🙏

Aw, you shouldn't have to explain yourself but I'm glad to listen. So moving to France wasn't exactly a bed of roses at first, wow, who's have known your neighbour would have been so troublesome. The house should have came with a warning!!! Didn't like ' foreigners' then? Anyway, hope you feel better soon and I hope mark is hanging in there waiting for his surgery.

Bravo Kathy! It’s tough enough having a disease or condition that no one can see but YOU can feel in So Many Ways! But then to have to listen to ignorant people who say things like It’s Your Own Fault, or what they think you should be doing, or (what I hear a lot) you are over-playing symptoms, it’s amazing we don’t just give up! I have Multiple Sclerosis and losing all ability to walk now along with other strange symptoms, and I too have heard it all till it made me Sicker from the stress! We are Not at fault, we did Not cause our autoimmune diseases!!! If I’m having a bad day then LET ME SAY IM HAVING A BAD DAY and just accept it or go f$@k yourself, is what I WANT to say. But like you said people get all preachy or pissy or Demand that you just Deal with it and don’t make them uncomfortable! I know everything is relative and it could be worse, but JFC TRY to just be understanding & supportive!!! Anyway, didn’t mean to rant but just wanted to tell you Some of us understand.

Really pleased to hear that knocking carbs on the head is working. Hoping to do the same. I know we felt good last time. Just so hard to kick those comfort foods.

Kathy I didn’t know anything about your past. It must be a nightmare living next door to a nasty neighbour. You and Mark have had it really rough No wonder your health has suffered. I admire you for not packing up and moving on. Many people would have. I hope your health improves I think lots of us bottle things up THE STIFF UPPER LIP as they call it. But sometimes you just need a release. If your writing helps please stay at it. I’m not preaching Kathy 😊

You might want to check out Goodbye Lupus by Dr Brooke Goldner. She has a protocol that she says reverses autoimmune. I have started it but am only on week 3. I think I’m beginning to feel a bit better now, I had a bit longer detox period than others. I’m not saying that it works because I don’t know yet, but for myself it was definitely worth trying. I’m tired of being in pain and being exhausted.

When will the ne’er sayers realise that it’s YOUR vlog to use as YOU want? If people don’t like it I think there’s a little “off” button…..good that therapy is helping….take care of yourselves…

Any chance you could show us the wall you speak of in your next vlog and perhaps a sketch of your property in relation to next door so we can picture it better
@KathysFlog
@KathysFlog Год назад
I won't do that, it would be too much information in the public domain. The wall at the front is where the wood is stacked. Behind it there is a right of way which we own and he has a right of way over it. Before the wall he stretched his right of way across our garden! He went ape shit when we built the wall.

Steroids have a lot of side effects. I'm on it since few months and I could eat all the time. You are hungry all the time. I have insomnia too. Can't go to bed before 2 am. I'm lucky that I don't work because I don't know how I would do it? They lowered my dosage, so instead of 10mg per week, I am at 5 mg per month. I feel tired all the time too. And this is not in your head, this is a fact. Also, in the long run steroids affect your bones.
@KathysFlog
@KathysFlog Год назад
" I am at 5 mg per month." per month? The dose is so pointless, it won't be helping you at all ( nor harming you). I have a Bone Scan every 5 years, no change this time from the 1st time. I also have a monthly blood test. 6 years on steroids, without them I wouldn't be able to get out of bed.
@scotchette
@scotchette Год назад
@@KathysFlog I don't take it for the same reason than you. I have to take my steroids' pump for asthma also. I see my face puffy and I gain weight. I was at 10 mg per week since few months. I don't know how you can manage it? But I take steroids since longer than you, so I have the side effects. High blood pressure, anxiety, weigh gain.

@@KathysFlog My education background is in political sciences, communications, feminist studies, history and education. I have a macro analysis about psychological problems, and as a feminist, I try to change the narrative for women, therefore women should stop blaming their hormones or themselves for everything. You have the right to be angry. Life is still unfair for women. We are not there yet.
