it’s the comment sections of videos like these that remind me of how human we are. how human I am. that there are people on the other side of the screen, not just bots. it’s easy to feel isolated, but reading the stories and poems and encouraging messages here make me realize how strongly I can empathize with so many strangers. that we might not be as different as we lead ourselves to believe.

The thing I adore most about classical music is the way it uses sounds to depict a feeling, for instance the rifts from 1:35 to me depict the chaos of falling in love, the joy of having it reciprocated and the silly tingles that accompany it all, its feels like the way you blush when you think of them, or something they did. The composer might not speak my language but we share a common tongue.

The 2nd song reminded me of a dream where I fell in love with someone who looked exactly like me. We were like carbon copies of each other. Best dream I ever had!! It made me realize that while being in love with others is one of the greatest feelings ever, being in love with yourself comes pretty close too :)

The girl I think I was in love with started to learn this song. I would sit on FaceTime with her and listen to her try over and over and over again. And when she got the first part down we both started to yell and cheer. It felt great, I would find myself just looking at her and admiring her. She was so beautiful, I never wanted to let her go. To me, everything was perfect. When I saw her, all my worries drifted away, the only worry I had was her drifting away from me. This worry became reality later on down the road. She told me she was going on a trip to meet up someone. I tried not to worry and I texted my best friend about it and he said not to worry, but I could help it. I had to see if the girl I never wanted to let go, slipped out of my hands. Hoping to see landmarks and pictures of her family on her Instagram, I only saw her with another guy. They were kissing and hugging and they were together. I just sat there, I didn’t know what to do, all I could do was remember all those memories and moments we had together and thinking that I was actually special to her, but I guess I wasn’t that special after all. It hurts a lot. I miss her but at the same time, I feel like maybe she wasn’t the one I should be in a relationship with. I don’t know, life doesn’t make any sense anymore. Why did this happen? Was it because of me? What did I do? The times I do feel happy is When I’m with my friends or doing this I enjoy doing, but once they walk away or once I stop doing those things, all I feel is some sort of horrible sadness emptiness, and uncertainty about life. Like everything is falling apart and I’m the cause. Like everyone is slowly, once again, drifting away from me. I just want to be held by someone who believes that im special. Someone who will not drift away. I just want to go back to when I didn’t know her, so I can avoid these feelings. I just want to feel something other than these horrible feelings. I just want to know what true love feels like.

I'm completely in love. Unfortunately, it's not with someone. I'm in love with the idea of a life that I'll never have, and these songs make me feel like living it, but at their peak, I just open my eyes and notice that I'm only daydreaming about a distant future that I'll never reach.

I fell for my best friend, someone I’ve known for 3 years now, a friend that suddenly changed into my boyfriend, a friend that would make me laugh all the time suddenly became the character portrayed in every love song. His eyes, smile, face, laugh, personality… absolutely everything about him is just so compatible to me, I’ve known him for years and it caught me off guard how we are dating now, he is amazing… whenever we hug he pulls away to look at my eyes and smile only to hug me again. I’ve told this story in way too many comment sections so I’ll keep it “short”. I liked her for 2 years. We became good friends. She gave me every reason to think she wasn’t interested. Then my life became darker and more lonely than it had ever been and she was the only one there for me, and that kept me going. I fell in love with this girl. But thinking she only saw me as a friend I had to spend the better part of a year forcing myself to accept her as just a friend, because no good would come out of telling her. It hurt like hell but I forced my brain into accepting we’d only be friends. And then a month later she confessed that one day when we’d been sitting/cuddling together with some other friends and watching a movie she’d really wanted to kiss me. That was her confession. For the first few weeks, nearly a whole month, we didn’t know what to do. Her parents didn’t like me for unrelated and ridiculous reasons, and she wasn’t really allowed to date in general. But slowly we kinda gave in and went from just openly flirting and talking about the feelings and thoughts we’d kept secret for so long to actually acting like a couple. We already had friendly nicknames for each other but we started using more romantic ones. Both of us, as well as our friends, had already been of the opinion that physical contact, even platonic, was amazing, so we’d already hugged and cuddled quite a lot but now we just did it more between the two of us. And once or twice I’d given her a kiss on the forehead when she was tired or upset, and she’d done the same to me when I nearly passed out while we were cuddling, the first time she actually kissed me on the lips was so fast because she was nervous and had apparently been hyping herself up to do, so I didn’t expect it at all. Cloud 9. Slowly things got more concrete and it started to flow like a normal relationship. We also got into more uh “intimate” stuff eventually 😅. That was three months ago and things are progressing well. We’ve known each other and been friends for a good chunk of time so we already had a strong bond, but now it feels stronger. We’re talking about the future and all that, and it’s exciting. I haven’t really stressed this enough because I’ve focused on the actual story but fuck she makes me so happy. She’s such a little goofy dork and whenever she talks about her crazy family or one of the books she read or something she baked she gets so excited and bouncy. When she’s tired or sad she just squishes her face into my neck or chest for a hug, or in a hilariously adorable manner snatches my hand for me to hold her’s. She has a million small but cute habits that I could list forever. But the most important thing is she’s such a sweet and empathetic person. She says she doesn’t feel like it often, because she can get stressed out easily and that can lower her patience but tbh who isn’t like that? She cares so much and it makes me love her more than anything. RJ (one of her nicknames cuz those happen to be her initials) I love you babe

This gives me emotions I've never felt. Never dreamed of. I met the love of my life online, and she's a whole ocean away from me (US/Germany.) Every time I hear her voice, her laugh, see her smile, her eyes, it gives me joy unlike any other. She loves the piano, and I play the Violin. She has always told me about this gorgeous piano she's wanted for a while now, something I'd love to give her. When I finally saw her the first time in person, the feeling I felt is undescribable. Words couldn't explain it, only our presence could. It pains me to be so far away from her, but eventually, I will be out there with her, where we can live our fairytale like life. I think we all experience the "falling in love" state many times during our lives. Some are intense but ephemeral, and some last for a long time. However, I think this is always a temporary phase. You can have a relationship with someone for years, with genuine care and all, but that doesn't mean you're still "in love". One is a state, the other is a sustained action. "Real love" is what comes after the infatuation phase. It's the unconditional acceptance of that person's very essence, and the unwavering desire to see them well and happy in life, regardless if they're with you or not. Everybody can fall in love several times, it's part of human nature, but being able to really "love" someone, is something that we have to learn constantly. The way the world is currently set, we're programmed to be selfish and possessive, and because of that, we'll break hearts and be heartbroken many times during our lifetime. That is fine though, since It's all part of the process. Appreciate all your partners, even the ones who seemed to "betray" you. They all crossed paths with you at one point for a reason, and that reason is ultimately experience. After all, you can only learn something through experience, and that also includes being able to love. Not saying that falling in love is fake or bad though, on the contrary. Enjoy those moments and try to make them last as much as you can, since when we're in that magical state, we're as close as we can to divinity.

There is no feeling on this earth quite like loving someone wholeheartedly and genuinely and knowing that all of your feelings and emotions will be reciprocated right back. Though, this mix does indeed get the feeling down pretty well. Don't get clingy, but cherish the ones you love all the same. Because there's 8 billion people out there, and surely at least one of them is meant for you.

To the person who read this, It’s been hard for you, I know, and it makes me sad that you don’t see yourself in the way I see you. Sometimes they are things in life that cause us to loose ourselves, and the way you have is so unimaginable painful. I miss your smile, the way your eyes light up the whole room just by the sound of your laughter. I miss the way you accepted the way you look in the mirror without cursing yourself out about how ugly you look. One of the loveliest sights I have ever seen in person was when I saw an elderly couple wearing matching track suits (probably returning) from a morning jog on my way to school in November for extra classes. I went especially early that day. Idk but I can never forget that image, the weather felt especially nice that day thanks to that couple. I really hope I get to meet someone I love who would go on morning walks with me when we're old.

I have always been antisocial, whether due to my inherent personality or due to the COVID pandemic. I haven't felt in love for many, many years. Either I was too busy with school, could not interact with anyone, or just was not approachable or desirable. But recently, literally these past few weeks, I met someone that was able to conduce that fuzziness in me. She's so thoughtful and forward, friendly, center of the group. Energetic and chaotic as well. She just makes me feel cared for, even if, for her, its just the care she gives to a friend. Ironically, it was she who sent this to me through a playlist of music and other entertainment, probably just because I play piano. I will not lie, the music is very good, and I have even played Arabesque 1 (i would love to teach myself the rest, but I think the ravel piece is way too virtuosic for me). But there is nothing else behind the gesture. No subtle hinting, just the desire to share some music with a friend. Alas, its evident she is still hung up on her own forsaken (? Am not really sure of its like that) love. Its a bit painful. Very. But like Nietsczhe said, you cannot have happiness without suffering. Overall, I just love her very much, and I am glad to familiarize myself with this feeling of love again, even if I must endure its inevitable partner of pain and dejection. God, confessing my love in a RU-vid comment section, how pathetic XD.

this is definitely unrequited love, falling inlove with someone you know will never feel the same for you. It's sweet at first, but you know the bitter truth. You try to stop but you can't, you try to convince yourself it's all just fake but you can't. You still feel stupid butterflies. You still hate the feeling of your cheeks getting warm whenever they're around. You still have each and every small quirk they do memorized in your head. You still think of them in every goddamn love song. And you can't stop. It's either you keep on hating yourself, or accept having to love them from a distance. I used to find it scary to compliment someone, because I was shy. I must admit that I am still not the most confident person, but now I realise that letting someone know that you notice their beauty is beautiful in itself. Falling in love with someone you aren't suppose to love.

this makes my heart ache for a life I’ll never have, filled with pianos and art and books and museums and houses with tall windows and rain and a little kitten that never grows up and classical music playing all over the place all the time and claw footed tubs with gold detail and little pastries in the morning with a cup of tea and meadows to run through with my soulmate and then pick wildflowers and braid them into a strand while lying in my loves lap and then just stare at the sky until it turns dark and return home to my kitten and fall asleep to my love playing me a melody on our grand piano then ventures his way over to me to hum softly as I lay on his chest listening to his heartbeat and soft rumble of his hum deep in his throat, only to wake up and realize I’m still in this wretched world where people hate and push others down for opinions and all sorts of matters and I remember that I’ll never get my dream life and instead I’m still a depressed teenager with anxiety about growing up... time to sleep and slip into my peaceful dreams, perhaps I’ll end up in a magnificent world where my dreams come true...

I've never felt so conflicted right now so I'm just gonna spill my heart out in the comments. The love I have is so bittersweet, it's so difficult. I'm in love with my best friend of 6 years, and she's a girl just like me. If I were perhaps a man would things be different? Would it be easier for me? Sometimes I feel guilty for even loving her. Being around her is so sweet, I love that I'm her favorite person to be around. I love being in her presence and I love the comforting aura she has. I've been with her through every single troubling relationship she's had with guys, but she doesn't know that I wish I was in their place. How come I'm so close to her yet so far? She doesn't know that each time she gets near me, hugs me like she always does, my heart feels like jumping out of my chest. The quick glances I take at her, how much I worry about her. I just want to hold her hand each time I'm beside her, I want to hug her with every chance I get. Each time we talk about the nature of romance, she talks so much about how she just doesn't care about it anymore. I always agreed. I'm sorry, but I've been lying to you ___. Everything I said about not wanting anyone in my life in that sort of way, absolute bullshit! I do care, because I want to be with you. The hour conversation we had about relationships, what'd we'd do, who we want to be with, you were in my mind the entire time. UGH I could gush about her for hours on end. I wish she knew how I felt but at the same time I'm glad she doesn't know. How would she feel if she knew? Uncomfortable? I, her best friend, the person who she always talks to who, she always depends on, is secretly deeply in love with her. It just feels so, demonizing? Loving her when she has no clue. Especially cause we're both girls, around each other 24/7, naturally we all feel comfortable around each other. It's funny because, we're both gay but I don't know, she prefers men way more. I don't even think she's ever imagined herself in a relationship with a woman, definitely not with me. Do I want to leave it this way? I guess it's fine, just being here for her, as her best friend. This feels so corny but I've been hating on myself too much. I'm in love with her and there's nothing I can do about it. I love being in love, but I would love being loved at the same time even more. Eventually it just gets painful. If anything happens, I'll update this comment :) This was only something I realized a few months ago after all. Also I love reading these comments so much. Reminds me that I'm not alone, all of us are human and feel this way, some of us have gotten there, some of us lost our way. Edit: (9 months later) So sorry I left you all hanging for so long, but I finally told her in December of 2022. Ummm.. unfortunately (or fortunately?) it did not end as well as some of you suggested. It's a long story but I'll shorten it by saying she found her person and so did I. She rejected me just fine and I realized that I was I just "over-romanticizing" my image of her in my head? If anything though I feel like this really improved me as a person. I don't talk to her much anymore but I'm still glad I did it. We're still good friends and its not something that we both hate. Plus, I met someone else awhile ago too. A girl I would always see on my usual route, but recently she finally decided to talk to me :) I really thank you all for the support though. This was just another chapter in my life and I'm glad it happened. For anyone who's struggling like I was, I'd say go for it, what could go wrong? Even though it did make me end things off with her, we both discussed that the spark we had disappeared awhile ago, so it wasn't a parting from bad blood. It lead me to discover new people and new things so good luck to all of you, love can be such a bittersweet thing. P.S I'm a highschool student so, don't worry about me!

This happened about a decade ago but the trip was so impactful that I'll never forget it. I'll go to my death contemplating it. I haven't shared this trip online before so here we go. The trip is atypical because it's a positive one, whereas most Salvia trip reports tend to be quite dramatically negative. This trip profoundly increased my overall positivity and outlook on life since that day. It's also the reason why until very recently I haven't done any psychedelics at all, I felt I've had enough for a lifetime after this. This was Salvia 60x or 80x, I can't remember which but it was powerful stuff. I smoked it a few times prior, about 10 times altogether, but I always took very gentle hits and what seemed to happen was that reality shifted into something else for a brief moment, and then back again. For example, one time I smoked it around a table with some friends, and suddenly the entire scene transformed into something where we were all on some kind of beach near the ocean, I looked to the right at one of my friends and he was wearing one of those old marine captain hats, and he kinda winked at me like a cartoon character. Then reality morphed back to normal as quickly as it transformed. I had a couple of this kind of trips with short but still potent changes in perception. The last time I smoked it, it was different. I was alone this time, and I had enough for 2-3 strong hits. I packed my pipe to the brim and lit up my torch lighter, really dedicated that this time I'll feel something stronger than just a little tease of an effect. So I somehow managed to take about 3 gigantic hits and put the pipe down. What happened next is hard to convey into words, because words don't do it justice and never will. A very powerful voice, which seemed to be coming from the back, and the power of which seemed to make the entire world vibrate with enormous force, basically said to me, "hi, I'm Salvia". I don't think it happened in spoken language but I could understand everything being said with crystal clarity. It felt like telepathic download. There was absolutely no ambiguity in what was being said and even though the transmission was an alien experience to me and I struggled to get to grips with it, I still understood everything with extreme lucidity. The voice said something like this. "Well, you know, every single thing has a spirit. At the core of everything is a specific spirit whose natural expression is that certain thing." This "voice" then went on to provide me with a very specific example (I know all this because after the trip I wrote all of it down). It said, "if you eat an orange, the taste that you feel in your mouth, is the communication with the spirit of the orange!" This was very specific, I thought. Then the voice went on to say "well, you just smoked me, and I'm the spirit of Salvia, so this is what communication with me is like!" What happened after this is impossible to describe and I only really have a very shaky mental picture of it because my ego simply cannot even formulate or begin to formulate any kind of description that would fit the experience or uncover even the surface layers of just how unbelievably alien it felt. What happened was I felt as if two enormous hands lifted me from my body, and I went up, up, up through the stratosphere, through the layers of the multiverse, through some kind of membrane and some type of superdimensional, non-euclidean hyperbolic weirdness of hard to describe proportions, until I basically landed in nothing, and there was nothing but love and nothing there. Love and nothing was the content of this place, and there wasn't even me, I didn't exist there, I just somehow was part of this love and this nothing. And what's more is it lasted forever, as far as I can tell. I don't know how I ever got back to my body, because from what I could tell, this was forever and this is just how things are and always were - there's love, infinite love of unconditional and deeply profound nature, and there's absolutely nothing, and those are the only two things that exist. I know this sounds paradoxical because how can "nothing" exist as a thing but that's how it felt. It was infinite nothing and infinite love in every direction. When I did get back to my body, it felt like I was slowly descending back into my body and I remember I had some kind of an energetic parachute that attached to my front rather than my back, and was made of what I can describe as two enormous rings on each side of me that extended through another reality back into our own. If you've ever played MDK games, it was kind of like that parachute, except it was glowing red, and it was on the front of me, and there were only two circles instead of four. I remember specifically looking at how the two rings at the far ends poked through some kind of membrane that separated this world and the one I just came from. This experience radically transformed my life. It permanently erased my depression and inspired me to be extremely creative. I've never taken Salvia since because I'm afraid it might modulate my life in a different way, or that I might experience the horrors that I keep reading about Salvia. I'm not sure it's worth the risk. That's my trip report. Regardless or not if you believe in the spirit world and the spirits or everything described here, you have to at least agree that the orange analogy is spot on. I've never thought before that the spirit of orange might express itself to you through the experience of eating it. Next time you taste an orange, remember you're communicating with its spirit. :)

It makes me more feel like an impossible love. You are friends, you joke around but you know they don’t love you. They are with other people. But the time you spend together is amazing, and you’re starting to feel ok with the fact that they’ll never be more than a friend, even if you love them-

everybody talks about being in love to somebody but for me, it feels like slowly falling in love to myself, love myself. like, slowly falling for myself. falling for the things i do, the ideas i have, the life that i created around myself, the image in the mirror that i have everytime i look at... and lots of other things. honestly, i can't wait to feel like this. hope one day i can love myself, even though it feels like an impossible thing to me.

i listened to this song way back before i was in love, it was somehow nostalgic and dreamy id listen on repeat hoping one day id find the one who maybe i could listen with, i forgot about the song for a while and then i fell in love. she was my everything and i wished to spend every minute with her and it reminded me of this song and we even created a dance to it, over time i once again forgot this song and she died from an accidental overdose, almost a year and a half later im listening again and i have never felt more lonely, i miss her so much and still cant imagine myself with anyone else, my light and reason to live stopped flaming and im now lost and i feel trapped, i have better friends than i have ever had before and life seems to be looking up but i hate that i cant spend it with her, it feels pointless and i feel guilty to go on without her, its just not complete anymore and with everything i do there is an emptiness, i miss her so fucking much man

Our religions and families is what prevents us from dating, honestly it's so painful, maybe our love wasn't meant for this life. Maybe in our next we can be together.

There was a girl who liked me a lot but I wasn’t ready to be in a relationship just due to the fact I didn’t understand what love was. We talked a lot, almost everyday. We understood each other to the deepest parts of our souls and shared our deepest secrets with each other. Now that time has passed, she she’s with someone else and now I’m starting to understand what love is. We don’t talk anymore but damn, I wish I knew what love was sooner.

When i first heard this song, it only made me sad as i was inside a very manipulative relationship. But coming back now, i finally feel what this music should really feel like. A dream. For the first time in a lifetime, I've finamly been picked. A genuine feeling and whay love really does feel like. He sacrificed everything for me, too much of everything though. Love is… scary. I think I’m in love with someone. Sometimes I wonder if I mistaken it with obsession.. but love feels like that. Love feels like you want to just rip your heart out and cry.
