Have you ever wondered why flies rub their limbs? Turns out, they just clean them, it’s this simple. But does it mean that flies are so clean it is safe to eat food after they land on it? First, remember that they spill out those juices onto your food, which is already gross enough. You also have to keep in mind that flies land everywhere, and it’s not always flowers but all the gross stuff as well. So, their limbs collect all the gems and microbes from those places, and you don't want those in your lunch!

Flies is like the one insect that no one is afraid of, but everyone is annoyed by. When i was a kid, when they rub their limbs together, i always thought they were plotting on how to annoy us or prepping themselves up for delicious food😂😂

Nope, BEST way to get them is to NOT act fast and just try to swat at them... but simply just approach them with your hand... going VERY slowly. . . then just crush it in your hand. I remember SOMEONE once gave me that as a tip when I was a kid. tried it and it DOES work! though, at some point I just stopped. my instinct by default is to always just swat at them. .(lol)

Here’s a tip for everyone. If you want a fly to get out of a room turn off all the lights and only leave the a light on in the room you want them to move them to.

I got always told since a little kid to avoid food if ive seen a fly on it. Growing up, i just ate them, while being half disgusted, but i thought it will help to strenghten my immune system. Guess they were right after all..

When I was a kid, I like to catch flies, pull off their wings without killing them, and put them close to any spider at my backyard. I love to see how fast the spider jump onto the flies.

Many years ago I was at a friends house and we were grilling steaks. We took the first two steaks off the grill,placed them on a plate and covered them with paper towels. When the next two were ready we took the paper towels off and dozens of flies were all over the steaks and the steaks were literally covered with what I can only assume were fly eggs. That was around thirty five years ago and I still clearly remember how sad I was dumping those beautiful T bones in the trash. I have done battle with flies ever since.

There are lots of flies in the desert. Hundreds of thousands of them will show up all at one time. I spent 8 months in a desert and it was a constant battle trying to eat or anything else with them around.

Very nice video! I actually like flies, I was fascinated by them as a kid, as interesting creatures. So trying to observe a fly from close as it's landed. I'll keep on mind now that they shouldn't touch my food, lol; Don't have a problem with flies inside the house anyway and especially at summer with any other insect that manages to get inside the room - I'll find a way to move it outside with no harm. Only exception are mosquitoes (I'm sorry).

I used to make fly traps using raspberry vinegar and dishwasher liquid in a disposable water bottle. I would cut off the top half and invert it back into the bottle to create a funnel on top. It was very effective at attracting and killing flies and gnats.

I feel like it depends on what you are in the situation if your the fly (which would not make sense if u typed this) then time would travel faster for a human if you are the human then time travels slower for the fly, both of the speed we see things are normal to us it's strange when you see a different creature have a different way of seeing life it's all perspective

Years ago, I was having dinner in a restaurant with my sister. Buzzing around the centerpiece of the table was a common housefly. We would occasionally wave it away and carry on conversing. Eventually, I got annoyed enough to put my hand over the centerpiece with my thumb and index finger extended. I snapped the fly out of mid-air like the Karate Kid without the chopsticks. I casually squeezed, dropped it on the floor, wiped of my fingers on a napkin while never missing a beat in the sentence I was in the middle of. My sister was completely shocked. It was amazing that I grabbed the fly out of mid-air. But, really, the most amazing part was I kept a completely straight face the whole time as if I do that everyday.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I once caught my cousin's fist when he was standing next to me because out of no where he decided to try, and punch me on my arm. I caught his fist in a quickness with that same arm as I stood still with out ever turning around. I felt like Mr. Miyagi 😂 What's crazy is his sister tried the same thing once (she wasn't there when her brother tried to punch me, and this was several years later into adult hood ) I reacted the same way, and both times I laughed, and both times they decided to punch me anyways 😂 It was also the same arm!!!! They were both smiling when they tried it too. So there was never a reason for me to suspect it.
