We get it, 4x16... 0.2g... 4x10... Floats can be pretty confusing so Andy is here to break it all down as to what size you need to be using!

I can appreciate and understand everything you said Andy and you have backed up the way I have thought about what floats to use on different areas of the lake and the different depths

Great vid…What would you fish on a top kit / top kit plus one line in 3 foot for carp and f1’s? Would you fish heavier than usual for that depth… to avoid liners when a lot of fish are coming in on that line late on? Ta

Excellent video, very informative. Can you let me know if you carry multiples of the same size float and how many and why. Are they all red tips or do you also use yellow?

Generally carry multiples but how many just depends on how often you're likely to use them and how prepared you want to be. Some people will have dozens, others just prefer to tie enough for a session or two.

I generally make up about half a dozen of each to make sure I have enough to cover 2/3 sessions

Hi mate. Can you help me please with a question. I’ve some floats with just a number on so unsure of what weight they need? For example one just has ‘20’ on it? Can you help please??!

It might be a 0.20g? Hard to say, but you should be able to roughly match it up to other floats and then just work it out by adding enough shot for it to sit right.

I'd agree with winning ways on that and in general a .20g float will take 5 no9 shots/stotz
