The thing I’m most pissed about hearing this is that he ruined her dress like if someone did that to my wedding dress they might just have to die my mom still has her wedding dress and she probably wanted to keep that dress for memories but he ruined it

nah, she explicitly told him “if you do this, i’ll leave you”. and then he did it. so she left him. there’s no possible excuse, he knew exactly what would happen and he did it anyway so he shouldn’t be surprised.
