she's actually only 33 this year which is kind of near the age of the 2nd generation idols e.g SNSD and some of the 3rd gen ones e.g. mamamoo solar/moonbyul, people tend to think she's in her 40s just because she started her career so early when most idols just started training. It's amazing how SM thought to debut a 13 year old. She seems like someone who is very mature, responsible, and modest, to be able to have such a smooth-sailing career and well-respected by so many in the industry (: hope she continues to flourish!!

I agree that SNSD is Korea's "Nation's Girl Group". But TWICE?! c'mon twice's music is just a copy of SNSD music. Twice music is cute, upbeat, happy just like some SNSD songs (Gee, Oh etc...) Twice just copied SNSD's style. SNSD is way better anyway, they actually have talented vocalists (Taeyeon, Jessica, Seohyun) and talented dancers (Hyoyeon, Yoona, Yuri, Sooyoung) ... Her career is older then some kpop idols, if she decided to never make another song again it would make sense seeing as she has gone into to become more then and idol in the kpop community she is what you call an artist the with the porduing dancing visuals and talent to compete with the best of the best and come out on top. So yes it's sad her career has slowed in recent years but she's still a queen that has done alot for the kpop community on a global scale.

Happy to see you do a BoA video, man! K-Pop fans love throwing around who "paved the way" but when you really look at it, her success in Japan (being the first artist to do so after SM sank so much money into her for that venture) really proved that there is success for Korean artists outside of Korea. It continued to escalate and RU-vid furthered that from then on. She took on the new millennium and helped shape the industry to what it is today. I can go on and on lol. But she was a great catalyst for the Korean artists and one that inspired so many of today. And to answer your question about my favorite songs by her. You will find that BoA is featured there. Among the artists who started the K-Pop Revolution globally. So in case anybody wonders here. BoA is loved and respected enough to have a permanent space. Within the history of contemporary Korea says a whole hell of a lot. BoA is more than really an Idol in Korea she's an institution. SM even famously once said Quote: "If BoA wasn't here there would be no SM." "Also I wouldn't be a producer." "Like a father and producer." It's like a dream to have met your daughter." SM = BoA She is the legendary icon for the company indeed. Not all singer can reach her level and staying relevant for 20 years. I remember back then BoA was like Utada Hikaru for Japan and Britney Spears for America. Yes, she is THAT big. Even until now, she stays with SM, holding the share and works as one of the directors while keep making musics just like what she does in GOT. I really like her then and now.

I would really like to see her push her boundaries a little more as she's been super tame recently, but I won't complain as long as I continue to see her doing what she loves. @kerronwalker1589

But do you understand why. She was and is Korea's awnser to Janet Jackson, Madonna, Lady Gaga, Britney spears, Beyonce... Etc etc... And she was Koreas awnser to to the major Jpop girl during the early 2000's e.g: Namie Amuro, Kimi Koda, Ayumi Hamaski, Crystal Kay etc etc... She has the talent, the visuals, the dancing skills and now the producing skills that have set her and the kpop industry apart. BoA alone single Handley saved a whole entire company during a transitional phase of losing its top tier male and female groups and getting ready to debut new male and female groups that would go on to become the standard in the kpop community, so yes from the fact that a single person not a group not a duo a single girl at the age of 13/14 saved a whole entire company is something to marvel over not even in her 20's yet and she set and raised the bar so high for everyone that came after her, plus she has taken on one of the most lucrative and top earning entertainment industrys in the world (Japan) and made a major name for herself, it helps that she had 2 major company's backing her. So I hope you understand why alot of kpop idols look up to BoA because she has gone above and beyond what alot of people thought that a 13 year old could achieve.
