Let me know what you guys think of this new series! If you like it, who would you want me to do next? - Tomorrow I start working on a new episode of 'Who REALLY Won' as well. Thank you all for the support daily, I truly appreciate it.
Hey D.M. Can you do a "Who Really Won" with #LilKim vs. #FoxyBrown ? It's still not c l e a r Y their friendship {or acquaintanceship} dissolved, in the first place?
Diverse Mentality Yea this was a good series I liked it. But since we're doing the whole "what happened to?" series based around one hit wonders. You should do Mike Jones and the rest of the Houston wave that fell off after a couple hits or less. Or you could go far left and do Travis Porter, Roscoe Dash, Chingy, Joe Budden, Lil Zane😂😭😭 it's plenty of one hit nobodies out here to document for this series. Use my list I just posted and have a field day😂😂😂💯
I praised him throughout the whole video and how he's underrated, "one hit wonder" isn't a disrespectful term, he literally on the charts only had one hit. Nothing wrong with that, Scarface never had a hit EVER and he's still looked at as one of the greatest Hip-Hop artists of all time.
i agree with you on this one, he ain,t no no one hit, he is more than that, if chamillionaire should drop an album today i know its gonna be banging and he is gonna put a lot of all these new wannabe rappers underground, he is straight up rapping ole gee, always my men, we miss em
It ain't mainstream... He said he saw money in rap, then he saw money in other areas that made rap look low budget. .. The man is an entrepreneur GENIUS
EXACTILIOSO HES SMART ENOUGH TO NOT DO THE SATANIC RITUALS SUCH AS TAKING DICKS IN THE POOP SHOOT LEAVING DINGLEBERRY SHIT CRUMBS EVERYWHERE LIKE DRAKE, LIL WAYNE, BIRDMAN ETC...
@@livingashtree1942 love that comment. better to be unknown and being set for life. fuck fame and being popular, because people only want something from u nowadays.
Chamillionaire is still one of my favourite rappers of all time. He had a distinctive deep voice and was able to sing and rap. I remember he kept clean during his career and admitted to refraining completely from drugs and alcohol. He also respected women. I thought he was a good role model and a breath of fresh air when it came to hip hop. Even my mom who passed away in 2012 (and hated rap for the most part) admitted to liking his music.
razor ramon no one can tell how much a person worth. We ain’t got his financial records, he could be more or less. Can worth in 100s of millions also or just couple of millions.
I love reading thru these comments and everyone showing their support for Chamillionair. He is such a good artist and I'm glad he's doing awesome! I still listen to his music!
Chamilionaire was an underground rapper who dominated before hitting it with Universal. He’s intelligent and didn’t want to become just a rapper, but an entrepreneur.
Sideshow The Game Freak mines too. I remember asking for the album in fye. The woman literally asked me am I sure I wanted that one? Because he didn't cuss on it. I laughed and said I'm sure because it was one my favorite album by him..
having a hit song doesn't make you rich. just makes your popular. it's how your paperwork game (publishing) is squared away that REALLY makes you rich. salute to son for stepping into the venturing game. now he's seeing some real money.
Ultimate Victory is perhaps the most UNDERRATED album of the 00s!!!!!!!! Standing ovation, wont let you down, industry groupie, I think I love you, welcome to the South and the list goes on!!!!
Yeah, ultimate victory was a better album than sound of revenge, to be honest. And rock star with lil Wayne, and bill collecta with crazy bone, couldve been hits!
I agree! Ultimate victory was one of the best albums of 07. And was actually a better album than his first album. And that album was more diverse and had a couple songs like rock star, bill collecta, that could've been hits.
Some people come into the game as rappers but their dream is to be something bigger so for them, rap is a stepping stone for them. They don't want to be in the rap game for too long. Its more like I'm in, I make my money and I'm out.
KingEvoTheDon That is true bro. It's give me the money, fuck the fame kind of shit. Especially boyz in Texas. That's how we get sown over there. It's money first, then the music second. Only real entrepeuners understand this type of mindset.
KingEvoTheDon i love the sound of revenge is a masterpiece album love the intro and trun it up man his flow was dope as fuck to me hes the best texas rapper
Chamillionaire is one of the most underrated rappers, he bedder then 99% of the (Rappers) these days..... he is a fucin monster on the Mic.... Listen 2 him
I really appreciate you taking your time to do this video. And letting people know, just because you don't see people in the public eye, doesn't really mean that they fell off. Most millionaires/billionaires/chamillionares work behind the scenes. And that's truly where the money is.
and chamillionaire is no one hit wonder. he signed with a major label after he'd been undergound for a long time. you don't know who chamillionaire is bro. you're trippin.
I'm so glad to see this video by you, doing so well as well. I have to say you got everything spot on, I can tell you're either a fan or good at research! But all the facts are there man. If you see this thanks for crediting Cham like this, he is one of my all time biggest inspirations and favourite rapper too but so many people sleep on him
Chamillionaire is NICE. I truly believe dude could have been huge in the industry. He was huge underground. But dude is smart and wise. Making money elsewhere
Chamiilionaire is the one dude tht had it he shouldve been a star frfr..The Sound of Revenge is probably the most underrated album of the 00s i still own it..what killed him was the whole im not gonna curse no more thing..its sad hes jus labeled as a 1 hit wonder
Fresh I don't think it was the not cursing, but it was how his label handled him when he made ultimate victory. Not letting him make the music he desired to make, and not supporting him in his ventures. Cham should have been a mega star.
chamillionaire is one of my favorites, but he did leave us (his fans) hanging. All those ep's came out like 4 plus years ago. He every once in a while sends out emails and stuff to us to let us know what he is up to, but overall we haven't received any new music since Reignfall.
Dizzinator2114 I mean at this rate it’s best to move on. He’s older making money elsewhere. He’s not getting much outta music. If he never raps again. I don’t blame him
He stay dropping songs and doing features..i just came from a sold out show by him a few weeks ago. He raps cause he likes to, not cause he needs to. Plus not cursing didn't hurt him considering he didn't curse much to begin with. Tech is his job now, rap is his hobby.
Been going back through the Mixtape Messiah series again (MM2 and 3 are still classic mixtapes) and revisiting Ultimate Victory, then this video popped up in my feed. I miss this guy so much, and I really hope he finally releases a proper follow-up to UV, whatever it ends up being called. Cham is a fantastic lyricist with so many crazy flows, and it's a real shame that the mainstream didn't catch on.
gillybloggs lmao...u so off base...he has been underground since the 90z...he only did 2 mainstream albums to prove to the hip hop game that hecould...then he exposed the industry for fucc shit and went bacc to doing him...period...
John Morris hell yea he was the underground king...one of the first to sing his own hooks and spit the illest bars...when he came out with riding dirty i first thought, dam thats not cam, but he did his thing to prove the haters he could make it in the industry. I still bump is greatest hits in my car to this day!!!
Great vid man well put together.. im already liking these series... something i would want to see... Kirko bangz from Houston... Thought that guy was going to be around a little longer... at least for the debut album
This is really inspiring.... keep up the good work. It's not about celebrating people's failure but more about recognising their success! Riding Dirty is still on my playlist. Good one ☝️
I m glad to hear that he's good. He is my favourite out of H Town and I've had Ultimate Victory rolling in my CD player since it first came out. I like that it delivered without any explicit content, not that I m against that but it was a plus for me.
Man, i was so into Cham back then. Driving in my celica with twin 15" subs mann oh man. I had much love for his insane flows, catchy hooks and the creative direction of his music. Shame many people didn't appreciate him as much.
Maaan, I love Chamillionaire, he used to be my 2nd favourite artist (only behind Z-Ro, the greatest singing rapper ever next to Nate Dogg), he's not really much in the question right now, because he doesn't really drop anything more, but I still love him, I got all of his EPs, almost all of Mixtape Messiah series. He's a great artist, I wish him all the best, I'm also sad that I don't get to hear more of his great music, maybe he'll be back some day. Last time I heard him on Trae Tha Truth track I'm On 3.0, this year, but it's like his only verse in years that I know of.
Keep it up man!I can always expect great content from u. My suggestion is to make one on Hittman cuz it really makes me wonder where did this great talent go.
.. he the bomb.. been listening to him for a very long time and i have never gotten bored .. in fact he among the few who can rap without cursing. still and will always be a fan.
Ultimate Victory and Sound of Revenge were great albums I think the fact that he said he wasn't going to curse on Ultimate Victory outweighed the actual fact that he still put together a great album. In the end he got the last laugh as a investor
In chamillionaire early days with riding dirty I worked with Krayzie Bone and was there in Houston With the producers play and skills in the studio when they told Krayzie Bone that he wanted to do the song with him. I was just a videographer for bone and to see chamillionaire early from that song to being in late night shows and wild n out and to be there, that job was priceless to see history in hip hop being made. Much respect to that guy
Chamillionaire was one of my favorite rappers of the 00s, along with T.I. and Luda. He has a lot of great music if you search deep enough, badass storyteller (see "Think I'm Crazy") and is up there as one of the best hook artists along with Nate, Akon, T-Pain etc.
Damn you missed all his Underground 💩 bruh...Mixtape Messiah Da GOD!!! You should check some out...it's ALOTTTTT so you won't clear it all but may I recommend: Denzel Washington one of my personal favorites
Sound of Revenge and Ultimate Victory are gems, straight up. Slept on for their time, but when you go back and listen, you'll long for those days again.
As a DJ of 20 yrs I must say " ultimate victory" album was amazing . I always was amazed he never curses on songs. He was " woke" before it was a thing. One of the greatest talents ever to hit the game.
Was my fav rapper in the late 90s early 2000s glad hes still doing good. Wish he would put out some more mixtapes every now and then, he was fire. Northside H-town!!!
