Avatar was a hit and I’m sure if they had kept Danny Phantom around then people would’ve felt the same way about that show too. They need to reboot it. It deserves more
Butch didn't create Rugrats, that was Klasky and Csupo. Their names are literally at the end for a title card of their company. Even had that voice say their name
Wow! Everything you said in this video is untrue. First of all, Butch Hartman did not create "Rugrats" nor have any involvement in it. And the real reason it was cancelled was because Butch went way over budget in season 2, which caused Nickelodeon to lose a lot of money.
Just an addition here, The show wasnt actually "Abruptly" ended. Butch had already known that the show was being cancelled so he crammed an ending into the last episode/special Phantom Planet.
I was born in 2009 yet still watched Danny phantom, you sure it stopped airing in 2007-? Edit: I appreciate everyone being so respectful and not making fun of me or anything, thank you for the likes, it's the most I've ever had, and thank you all for commenting. When I wrote this in slipped my mind that it could have just be reruns, so I appreciate you all being so nice. Thank you.
Danny Phantom was a good show. It started my teenage phase at 13/14 yo and it has a special place in my heart. But even then, i think ATLA still has bested it in story writing.
Honestly, They're in two different leagues, and both are amazing. I wouldn't say ones better than the other, as they're completely different topics and shows in general. Avatar is a masterpiece, and Danny Phantom deserves better.
I can agree. Both were my childhood, but avatar was arguably my first and foremost choice to describe it. But that's the thing, shows like Danny phantom, fairly odd parents.. those described the essence of my world. It isn't that they were the best, or even close to it, but they were impactful.
@@ShinonsPNTRY you’re right. I’m thinking from the perspective that there’s a single 30 minute block and you have to choose one, I’m choosing avatar. But there’s aspects to the show in nature that make it so much more immersive than Danny Phantom so that’s what makes it that way. Don’t get me wrong though Danny Phantom was a great show tho it’s just with Avatar from the beginning of watching it you knew it was the start of something big
Head up, this guy's is wrong with some stuff. Off the top of my head, Hartman had no involvement with Rugrats and Danny Phantom was canceled because Season 2 went way over budget.
All I remember Danny Phantom for, was there was this RU-vidr, I forgot their name, but they had a bunch of OCs about the show, they were losing it mentally, she was convinced her characters were real and that when she died she could meet them. If I remember correctly she shot 3 coworkers to death and then killed herself. If anyone has any corrections to make let me know because I might have gotten some details wrong.
I can’t look at Danny Phantom the same ever since Randy Stair otherwise known as Andrew Blaze I didn’t even know what day the phantom ones until I started watching Randy’s channel but holy heck that story is crazy
Danny Phantom was a great show but ATLA is hands down the best show to ever come out of Nick. So, if losing Danny Phantom gave us ATLA, that’s a price I’m willing to pay
What the creator didnt said, is that the series was starting to decline in quality by around season 2, so Nickelodeon probably saw that and noticed the decline in numbers because of that. That might be probably why they just ended the show.
I remember visiting my father one summer and this was on nickelodeon. It became an instant favorite of mine. Came back the next summer and was sad to see it was gone.
I'm not entirely sure if it's true or not, but, something I heard was that butch was given millions for the ultimate enemy for promotional purposes, and after paying all the royalties and stuff, he was only able to come up with like.....$10,000, a fraction of what the network wanted back. I also think i heard that the network allowed him to continue the show with season 3 on his dime.
