Rhyno was the last true ECW Champion.

Yes he was, and the last ECW Television champion as well, making him a dual champion. WWE tried to bring Rhino or Rhyno back to put the new ECW championship on him, but Rhino turned it down and remained in TNA instead. I don't know why the WWE didn't bring back the ECW TV title or the tag team titles, last held by Danny Doring and Amish Roadkill before the original ECW folded.

@@harleyfenner1926 because they really didnt care about the brand, look at the rosters actual size of the roster, 11 male wrestlers. Instead of calling up from ovw or bringing back more talent from ecw. Look at December to Dismember. 14 male and female wrestlers were on the brand (not including the hardyz, mnm and khali). Those who turned down going there knew it would be a bad move

@Archive Gibbs Deus ok don't know where that came from. I did know that since I studied English literature including poetry. But Raven was one of my favorite wrestlers growing up, so therefore I associate it with Raven more, also cause the first time i heard raven say that at age 9 i didn't know of Edgar Allen Poe. Also about Don Muraco, he started a wrestling promotion called Hawaii Championship Wrestling. Within I think 2 years it was shut down and now on occasion is a guest commentator for a new promotion called Unify Championship Entertainment

The Big Show winning the ECW championship wasn't a terrible idea on paper. The potential of a MASSIVE giant chucking people through tables, hucking steel steps at people, and destroying people with a single massive chair shot, all while tanking Singapore canes, steel chairs baseball bats and more is definitely a great idea. Which is why I wish he won it in the original extreme incarnation. Just imagine him doing that when he was leaner and more athletic. But of course when he did win the title it wasn't well timed or executed.

Personally I liked WWE ECW as it lead to the likes of some of my favorites winning their first world title in WWE Morrison Punk Hardy & Christian unpopular opinion I know I also liked the big silver belt

After the first botched year the WWECW brand was putting on some of the best matches out of the 3 brands. When you had a roster consisting of Morrison, The Miz, Seamus, Matt Hardy, Christian, Dreamer, Punk, and a revitalized Goldust you had a recipe for some damn fine wrestling. It was basically a proto NXT and it deserved far more love than it got.

So in the original ECW days none of the ECW champions ever became WWE champion interesting but in the ECW revival we saw 8 superstars who won the WWE or world title also win the ECW title well then that's definitely the highlight of the ECW revival

I always hated the fact they had Christian drop the belt in that last match. Why tarnish his legacy like that? The brand was dead there was no point in crowning a new champion.
