This was a very good monologue! You are great at those. It's how I saw your channel first time, and still something you are really great at! I think it's because you always have perfumes in the back of your mind and you really have spent a lot of time with the perfumes, and they mean a lot to you. It makes your monologues so relateable.
The video I’ve been waiting for. I have several Malles and I really really enjoy Acne Studios. Bought a full bottle. It is different from his previous work and that’s a good thing. I like how he worked with a young perfumer in Suzy and how the fragrance is thick. Beautiful aldehydes. To me it’s to aldehydes what Chanel 1957 is to musks. I think Freddy went out with style and not like an old fuddy duddy so to speak. I do agree that Monsieur Malle was like a protector of perfume from some of the nonsense that gets released. You’ll probably like Acne Studios over time. I loved it from first sniff.
Eugene I agree very much with your take on comete. I was initially underwhelmed by it, but over time it kept surprising me throughout the day until I decided I had go back to the boutique to purchase it.
So what does this mean for the perfume line? Do you think we should buy the bottles we’ve had our eye on in case the company decides to mess with them.
I just got back from a trip to Japan and purchased Comete there. It is very powdery on my nose. Not a big fan at first impession, tbh. But, I am a big fan of the Les Exclusif. Plus the yen is low atm.
He finally left because Lauder redoubled their vocal and financial support for the Israeli genocide and he'd had enough. He'll be starting a new venture in the not-too-distant future.
Last month I bought myself a 50ml of "The NIght". Hope the quality stays with it. Like Aventus. Since they sold, we even got Metal Caps🙂 Seriously, Aventus stays with me the whole day. I love this Channel!
Well the good news is that Fredric Malle is part of Estée Lauder and not part of some private equity group like the case of Parfum de Marly. At least big houses like LVMH and Estée Lauder add something more meaningful if that’s the right word to Parfum as opposed to money grabbers from PE firms.
