He washed out because of his bad attitude. In part due to his father, he got way too cocky and didn't keep developing his game, including weak defense. He may be short, but he could've taken notes from Muggsy Bogues.
short people just gotta stay out of sports, if you're a man and you're under 6 foot just work in an office job or become trans because no one is taking you seriously as a man
I mean Spud Webb runs the legends. That said, the Texas Legends literally let random people tryout, so if Mark Cuban wanted him there, he would be there.
@@matthewhewitt4145 You must be the only person who thinks that Cuban would possibly give him the time. Spud Webb at least played college ball and could actually dunk. Newman doesn’t offer anything of significance except RU-vid clips against regular Joe’s
@@Bearedd I don't think Cuban wants him. I'm saying if Cuban wanted him, he would already have him on the legends. I'm saying Julian is lying to us or Mark is lying to him, and it's almost certain Julian is the one lying.
@@BTBSwaggy2Tymesmany other kids you’ve never heard of or probably hear of every day in the nba.. that’s the point that shouldn’t be THE FOCAL point of your whole career
Julian had a bad sportsmanship and attitude problem. He just a very privileged kid and his father created a school for him to play at a high level cause he didnt get any D1 offers
Bahahahaha Cuban was just being nice. He really should have just given you the too small hand gesture. No way this little guy is playing in the g league when he is getting shown up by RU-vidrs.
His father is to blame. His father was a horrible coach and mentor. Never humbled him and he got way too cocky. Also look at the competition he faced. Had he faced teams like Zion or Bronny’s Hs teams, they would have exposed him
His family is know for lying, but if it’s true it’s a big opportunity. Not sure how much faith I have in him because G-league is full of NBA caliber players and I’m not sure if he’s on that level. Best of luck to him though.
I'm not a hater and don't know much about this kid but even if he was the most skilled player in the world and the best shooter, he wouldn't be remotely close to being able to play in the g league. He's unfortunately just way too short. The only way I could see someone that short being remotely successful is if they were freakishly athletic and built like a powerlifter. Their defense would need to be flawless and skill elsewhere would need to be maxed out
Dude would have been less. He is way too small for real hoops. Nobody would know this kid if it wasnt for his dad. His dad is the reason he had hype and he still couldnt get recruited. For real good HS teams he comes off the bench and nobody even knows him with his pops getting that hype.
I owe it to the game to become a coach , we don’t want a player that needs more than 5 dribbles to generate a bucket and I’m subbing Everytime I see a center shoot instead of driving it in.. I’m turning the next generation from Julian Newman to Tim Duncan
Kid is 5'5" and that is the bottom line. Has nothing to do with his pop. He couldnt guard anybody in D1. He is just a product of hype that all the young kids fell for. Another Instagram All American talking nonsense on youtube because they just arent good enough.
@@ram0666 his pops coached him all his life. His pops was the hype lol. Enabled bad habits. I’m not even bringing up height, since there have been players around 5’5”- 5’7” in the ncaa/nba. Where is the nonsense that was spewed? Shit was valid af. Julian practiced trash habits at the lower levels of hs ball. Only reason u heard of this mofo is cuz of his dad and the videos he put out there of him dribbling in the same spot. The shit his dad did to get Julian on the Ellen show. Do you even know? Lol. Ure 🗑️ I’m sorry u looked up to him. U must be Filipino 😂
Julian working at bugger king , he is in charge of the fry station he makes sure frys have extra salt added to increase blood pressure of all customers 😅😂
How many D1 players are his size? His IQ and Skill are overrated but if he was 6' 3" with the same ability somebody would give him a D1 offer. He would then be a bench guy at best.
@@ram0666 no he’s a pg who gets no where with his dribble and has no vision and only has 1 speed he sucks I averaged 10 ppg and im beating him 1on1 and if I get 30-40 shots a game like him im in the same position
Most Child Prodigies don't pan out - many either fail as they play in more competitive leagues, or they don't grow much larger and are under-sized, or they burn out. This guy just didn't grow tall enough.
Ten months later no sign of him in the G League. Once again, all lies. Just like his dad said he had a bunch of D1 offers, he was in talk with overseas teams, and all this other bs. This whole family just lies about everything. His dad really thought he was better than Lamelo 🤣😂
No one in the NBA needs a 5’7” PG nowadays, all the options are easily 6’3 + with the league being the tallest& most athletic it’s been.. he’s not even gonna get a chance
Boricua Hispanic indian n black IAM. He have to kill his attitude by be humble n respect if he doesn't do that he not go no where about be great player. You have to balance you life. Carmelo Anthony make it to the NBA because he knew the price of life. Jimmy Butler olso. Lebron james . This players knew that life is not easy just to work hard in the game n become the greatest inside n be humble.
It’s more than just his height. His jumper has bad form and is inaccurate. His vertical isn’t high. He isn’t as fast as he needs to be to pull off the kind of ISO plays he always gets himself in. He doesn’t pass. His team does better with him on the bench because then they can actually play fundamentals instead of give the ball to Julian and watch him try to do some stupid dribble move and turn the ball over. And his dribbling, which is what he’s known for, isnt even all that. It’s not even good tbh. All he does is dribble fast. He doesn’t change directions, he’s not creating space between him and the defender, he’s not breaking anyone’s ankles, he’s not getting any one else open for a shot and even jf he did he wouldn’t pass it to them. He’s just a trash player. His height wasn’t stopping him. It was just everything else about his game is mediocre or just flat out not good. That’s why he couldn’t even get a D1 scholarships let alone get into the NBA
His dad should have got him doctor prescribed hgh. He would have had a chance to be 6'2 or 6"4. His dad didn't want it that bad if he didn't take this route
@ram0666 Hgh will make someone taller you dummy if a kids growth plates aren't closed. Hgh from a doctor will definitely increase height in someone with open growth plates like a teen.
If he did have a chance through Mark he no longer does things like that should be kept in wraps till it happens remember when Will Levis posted that he knew he was going #1 bro got sent to the gulag first
What made me laugh was they pointed out how he dribbles fancy but doesn't actually create distance meaning it's all just a show and couldn't make his own shots
When you can do all of that when you're 11-12, it's incredible and fast. But as you get older and heavier, it gets tougher & you're not a surprise. IMHO, pop had to have some humility and let him get coached elsewhere. It almost looks like he was more natural as an 11-12 year old than he is as an adult, like his growth was stunted.
He could hoop forreal, his issue was his carelessness and lack of defence. He got better but still is mostly too short for a roaster spot in the NBA. Hopefully he does well in the G-League and gets a 2 way contract to prove himself.
He’s just wasting too much energy on unnecessary dribbling instead of making plays and spend less energy for entire game. I’ll never play with that type of players
