What Happened to Marianas Trench? 

I got the notification for this and immediately had Stutter stuck in my head.

What??? What happened to them? They are still going strong and just released a new album Glad you got on board!!

Honestly only a handful of Canadians have ever been lucky enough to get mainstream attention in the USA and as a Canadian it’s always frustrated me, at times I feel Canadian talent gets overlooked by Americans simply because it’s Canada. Mariana’s Trench deserves way more credit, respect, appreciation, and attention then they get, such a criminally underrated band

Been waiting awhile for this video. As much as I love this band I had no idea they’d been around for so long.

A Canadian classic! I think that the transition into pop music was genius. Here in Canada, stutter and fallout were played quite often but pop 101 and here’s to all the zeroes gave the band that extra push into pop radio stations. It’s pretty ironic that their satirical pop songs were what made them pop artists And yes we definitely say brewskis

as a Canadian emo kid who grew up in that era, Mariana's Trench will always be a band I argue should have been right up there with the emo greats, in the hall of fame alongside MCR and Panic but them being Canadian I think really kept them from finding the success they should have had, it is so SO hard to find that overseas American success despite just how close those waters are to Canadian shore Masterpiece Theater is something so so special, and I'm eternally absolutely tickled by the concept of the titular Masterpiece Theater songs, remixing and revisiting the songs of the album itself and making such breathtaking pieces of art. Masterpiece Theater 3 especially just feels so grand and larger than life and builds in such a specific way, I'd kill to see it played in an arena someday all of their albums are absolutely stellar though

I only listened to them in high school for about seven months and then moved on. Cross My Heart came out during my last year of high school, and while it was a good song, at that point, i was full into grunge.

One of my favorite bands ever!!!! Love Josh Ramsay voice. You should check out his solo album.

I found them by accident I was visiting family in Canada and my cousin was listening to Masterpiece Theatre now I have seen them 5 times twice were VIP with getting into sound checks and a picture signed by them after one show I got pictures with Mike and Ian

Now we just need a video on some up and coming artists like Knox or magnolia park.

An amazing band, cant understand how theyre not massive! Ridiculously talented.. im from the UK and read an album review of ever after on alternative addiction website and took a punt on it! Best decision ever, been a huge fan ever since!

The new album just released! Thoughts on Haven? 👀 I personally really enjoyed it and had a fun time listening to it upon release! The narrative told and the use of callbacks from previous albums made for such an emotional experience- it was amazing.

05:29 actually it was just Matt who he had known from high school. They found Ian through an ad looking for drummers and Mike just so happened to be Ian's roommate at the time.
