One thing the minigames will always have over community servers is their soundtrack. I remember playing tumble for the first time and being astonished by how good it sounded.
it's a massive disappointment that they didn't even port the Glide maps as a bedrock marketplace thing to fly around with fireworks, as it wouldn't even take that much effort or server hosting
Maybe 4j will port them in the future but someone must've ported them it would be awesome if someone recreated the minigames as a server and it would be like old times
The pvp of legacy console edition i’m talking battle was always unique because there was java vibes from being able to crit and knock people back away from you
These Minigames on bedrock would be amazing. Remember getting 30 seconds on Cavern by taking the 1x1 shortcut? Those were the days. They promptly updated it after so you were required to go through every checkpoint.
Nah Traitor to Legacy you quit this edition unlike me and the 200k OG Legacy Players that still play, I met so many best friends on their also their might be 100k or 10k players but I know it's very low as I've seen multiple players twice on different servers that I've met before, highest PS3 yt had 2k subs but highest xbox 360 has 3k subs which is odd cuz it seems like their are more ps3 and wiiU yts than xbox 360 to me, btw I'm joking about calling u a traitor u don't need to play Legacy Legacy for nostalgia if you don't want to but i can tell u the minigame servers and the community/player base is still holding up after years and not died from the massive drop of players since 2019 but I recently find 2022-2023 a lot of my best friends on PS3 started to quit I don't play xbox 360 much as I can't play multiplayer and meet other members of the Legacy community from xbox 360
@@GamingWithJas-ff4yfive been trying to play it since my editions button dissapeered, but is it only possible to play the minigames on a ps3 or xbox360 now? I still have the original ps4 4Jstudios minecraft version on disc but everything I try wont let me access the legacy version on ps4, a sad day to watch this game mode die, especially since noone got compensated for all those maps and skins they bought I guess?
@@theonethatgotaway3475 Oh I wish you could play with us legacy community, although I wish they still updated it and to 1.19 I feel it may remove the nostalgic vibe. Legacy may of died but it seems their are no chances of it to stop dying as i lost my best friends so many times due to them quitting for PS4 or PS5. I have 2 best friends left and I still see legacy players leaving for new editions, I lost my closest best friend a couple months ago due to him moving to ps4 he was a greek player and I'm devastated I realised how much he cares for me he always defended me from toxic players, now as much of a wonderland legacy seems its ot true since 4J stopped updating in 2018 the Remains of the community are very toxic and its toxic on PS3,PSV,Xbox 360 and Wii U. If you do somehow get back to a legacy edition be aware before making legacy friends this community isn't the nicest of people.
@@Tealen For real, laucnhed recently the xbox one edition and really not espected there was still poeple playing it, the lobby is the best thinks ever, finded my childhood mind that I must have forgot there.
They could've released am official server with this minigames to go alongside the player made servers and the fact they haven't done this really makes me thing that Mojang have either forgotten about it or generally can't be bothered to add this.
These minigames were truly something special. I loved how you didn’t need to have a Microsoft account to play them either. I could just go offline and play a round of PVP with my friends. Minecraft is great now, but back then, it was just something leagues above.
I remember my favorite part being the little hubs you could explore before the game started, and never knew how to acces most of the secrets, but it was still fun as hell to explore. Especially when I found the secret old hub hidden beneath the fountain in the middle
I used to play these on my PS3. I liked Battle minigames, but I sucked at it. Instead, me and my cousin would play Tumble all the time. It was a great experience. Pretty sad that it's very rarely active nowadays. Anyway, thank you for this video, reminds me of the old times.
If I ever wanted to play Hunger Games or Spleef, the legacy edition mini games were my first choice. I only did servers if I was away from my console, and had my laptop with me.

We will never forget the time we had fun playing minigames with our friends. I remember being the best in my friend group at pvp then losing to the worst player by jumping into lava think i had fire rez 😝
I love playing all of the classic minigames, the soundtrack and general quality of work put into them make me personally prefer them to any equivalent on servers. My friends and I like to stream it at least once a year on one of their accounts, amazing times
They should add these games into bedrock edition it would probably boost the popularity in Minecraft but A LOT considering everyone loved it even if they couldn't even play it but was watching it on RU-vid. Keep the graphics the same and keep adding updates to survival and stuff but just add at least the 3 maps back with the same settings and able to change the same settings.
I played on wii u and when it got discontinued it was a very sad moment. I still played up until 2020 but then my wii u broke and now I am on windows 10. Legacy console was the golden age of the game
I remember playing battle with a really good friend of mine and waiting in the lobbies man it’s crazy how I almost forgot about these they were actually a lot of fun with people

I still have my nintendo switch I used to play mc on, I still remember playing the minigames everyday after school, and watch the game modes slowly die out, eventually finding a two player lobby became nearly impossible. 😭😭
I used to be goated at battle. I won most of the rounds i participated in, even teamed up with people and gave them free wins cuz it was so fun. I'm glad to see that people still play console mc nowadays, i can't wait to log back into my ps3.

On ps4 legacy edition, im in a big community for it, I just finished my 3rd battle mini game tournament, and even though we are gradually playing more bedoeck we still do lots of stuff on legacy
Quite unfortunate to see the minigames being abandoned like this, till this day I'm still trying to create battle servers or join them in hope to catch some active players the max I get is 7 players but sadly they don't keep long as they lose interest in playing, back in 2018-2017 it was the best times for minigames console
The Mini games (especially Battle) are all really fun to play (probably because of nostalgia) I just wish they had a bigger player base so I can actually find a game
I understand why they switched minecraft to the regular version on console, but i wish they could've kept/made more minigames. They are very well designed with good music, good maps, and custom hosting settings. Servers dont have any of that and you dont get to make friends as easily or use voice chat in a private game
It was so much fun playing the minigames with my brother on our ps4 I miss this so much! I love the lobby and I got through all secrets when I got the elytra I felt like god😂the pvp minigame felt like a randomizer it was so much fun and the minigames were better than servers and if you didn’t have internet to enter servers you could still play minigames but now it’s gone and I’m really sad
This is honestly my favorite Minecraft Edition, i really like this one because of the minigames but mostly because of the limited worlds.....¿Why? Well because since the word is small i don't really have to expend hours and hours exploring to find something like a village wich for people like me is very boring, that's why Minecraft version with infinite worlds are so boring to me. With limited ones i can have a quick and very fun experience of Minecraft (plus i completed Minecraft for the first time on ps3 just because of that). The only thing i don't like about limited worlds is the fact that not every biome will be on my world wich forced me to create a new world just to find a jungle and tame a cat for the taming a cat achievement
The reason why these were so fun, they were simple, a lot of new servers are not as fun as the legacy console mini games, new servers have more games, but barely keep players entertained
